Story
Hi everyone! Meet Snoopy.  He is a Long Hair Chihuahua Mix. He is a 14 pound ball of energy! His perfect day involves hiking through a forested trail or exploring a rocky beach. He is always up for an adventure in nature! He loves jumping over logs and walking through shallow creeks. Afterwards he can relax and snuggle on the couch. He is very affectionate and love giving kisses! Post nap, he can play fetch or tug of war with his favorite squeaker toy. he can end the day with a peanut butter kong and some belly rubs. Dislikes: Walking on streets with heavy traffic, especially when buses and unmuffled cars drive by. The noise is stressful for him, and he prefers the safety of home. He is also sensitive to certain noises, and will alert with a bark. We have been working on ways to provide a relaxing outlet when there is too much going on during walks like a Citronella Collar.  This is a big reason why having my own backyard would be amazing! I like to watch over my home, so new people must allow me a chance to feel safe around them.. Once they walk through the door,  It helps is meeting new people while on a leash. It shows me they are friendly and safe. I am a nervous dog by breed or nature.  I have been trying to build a more secure peronality.  A good trainer and dedicated adopter can help me overcome my fears.  I'm not crate trained but have used a pen. I'm working on the pen being my safe space. I do very well at the veterinary clinic and have gotten compliments for my sweet nature. I also do well getting my nails professionally trimmed.  I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. What I need: No young children.  I do better with adults. A gated backyard. I absolutely love running and can run for hours! My fast, agile body would be amazing at agility courses He can be shy and nervous around other dogs, especially if they don't respect boundaries. However, he can be comfortable with them over time.   ##1867517##

Story
Hi. I'm Dusty. I came to Utah from California along with my two brothers, Wylie and Rusty. I'm very loving and playful. I love playing with my brothers, so another small dog as a playmate in my forever home would be awesome! I also love my people. My favorite thing is to be held and have my belly scratched. I'm young, just 8 months old, so I'm still learning potty training, but I'm very smart and I'm picking it up quickly. I am very energetic and love to run and get the zoomies, so a big yard would be ideal. I'm looking for a fresh start in Utah. Can't wait to meet you! To meet Dusty, please complete an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationMarch 14, 2026, 8:14 am

Story
Hi. I'm Wylie, I got my name because my foster mom and dad think I look like Wyle E. Coyote from the Loony Toons. I'm originally from California where I lived with A BUNCH of my brothers and sisters. Now I'm in Utah looking for my forever home, along with my two brothers. I'm the quietest out of the three of us - I hardly ever bark. I love my people and want to be around them all the time. I like to play a little bit, but I am most content being held and loved on by my family. I am still working on potty training, but I learned how to use a dog door pretty quickly, so my foster mom and dad think I am pretty smart. I get along with other dogs, but would be happy to be the one and only as well. I might take a minute to warm up, but once I do, I will be your very best friend. To meet Wylie, please complete an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Story
Hey there, I'm Chloey!I'm a 10 pound Chihuaua mix that has come such a long way after being rescued from a hoarding situation. I was so terrified when I first went to my foster's home that I hid in her spare room for almost 8 months! I would not make eye contact and would try to get away if she tried to pet me. But look at me now- I'm out and about with the rest of her pack and am doing so much better with being pet and I even ask for pets and loves sometimes! I'm still very timid and will need someone to be very patient with me. I'm so sweet but my lack of socialization when I was younger makes me cautious of new people and places.I'm good with small dogs and ignore the cat in the home. My foster mom says other dogs in my forever home will help guide me to become the best girl I can be. Kids are a little too fast moving for me, so no kids in my forever home please. I am potty pad trained and will go outside if I'm out there and need to go. In other words, I do need to work on my house training. XOXO, ChloeyDogs are not placed on a first-come first-serve basis. Story
Nuggie is a 15-year-old Chihuahua with so much love to give! He’s a devoted companion who finds comfort in being close to his person, and truly thrives on that special one-on-one bond. He gets along well with other dogs and cats and brings a calm, easygoing presence to a quiet home. Nuggie will be happiest with someone who is around most of the time to help him feel safe and secure. Because of his sensitive nature, Nuggie needs an experienced, patient, adult-only home—ideally with one dedicated caregiver. He can be a bit particular about his space and handling at times, so he’ll do best with someone who understands small dogs and can read his cues, giving him the consistency and respect he needs to feel comfortable! In return, Nuggie will be a deeply loyal little companion who just wants a cozy place, a steady routine, and a person to love with his whole heart.
