Story
Meet Spirit 💛 Hi there… my name is Spirit, but if you ask nicely, you can call me Pretty Girl or Lady Dog. I’m a sweet 12–13 year old lady with a gentle soul. These days, my favorite hobby is napping — I’ve truly perfected the art. A cozy bed, a soft blanket, and the peaceful presence of my people? That’s my idea of a perfect afternoon. Every now and then I’ll surprise you by taking interest in an occasional cat toy… just to keep things interesting. Because I have some arthritis in my shoulders and hips, I prefer short, slow walks. I like to take my time and enjoy the little things. I also have limited sight and hearing, and I don’t have any teeth left. I can be a little unsure about shadows and windy days — they’re mysterious and a bit spooky to a lady with my limited vision. But with reassurance and a calm environment, I feel safe and content. My very best friends are my foster mom and dad. They give me delicious wet food and lots of love, which I think is a very fair trade for my devotion and sweet company. I’m good with cats and other dogs, and while it’s not known how I feel about kids, I’m such a calm and gentle girl that a quiet home would suit me best. If you’re looking for a low-key, loving companion who will happily snooze by your side and warm your heart every single day, I might just be your girl. Love, Spirit 🐾

Story
Meet Malfoy!Malfoy is a 2-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua mix with the perfect combination of playful energy and snuggly sweetness. This adorable little guy loves going for walks and exploring the world, but his favorite place is curled up in his person's lap. While Malfoy can be a little shy at first, he truly blossoms in a home with other pets. He must have another friendly dog in his forever home, and he's also very comfortable with cats. A multi-pet household helps him feel safe and confident, making it the ideal environment for him to thrive.Malfoy appears to be mostly house trained and is doing well with his routine. He's still working on overnight crating, but having another dog nearby has made a big difference, and he continues to make great progress.Because he's a sensitive little guy, Malfoy is looking for an adult-only home or one without young children. In return, he'll reward you with endless cuddles, loyal companionship, and a tiny shadow who always wants to be by your side. If you're looking for a devoted lap dog with lots of love to give, Malfoy may be your perfect match!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Story
Nuggie is a 15-year-old Chihuahua with so much love to give! He’s a devoted companion who finds comfort in being close to his person, and truly thrives on that special one-on-one bond. He gets along well with other dogs and cats and brings a calm, easygoing presence to a quiet home. Nuggie will be happiest with someone who is around most of the time to help him feel safe and secure. Because of his sensitive nature, Nuggie needs an experienced, patient, adult-only home—ideally with one dedicated caregiver. He can be a bit particular about his space and handling at times, so he’ll do best with someone who understands small dogs and can read his cues, giving him the consistency and respect he needs to feel comfortable! In return, Nuggie will be a deeply loyal little companion who just wants a cozy place, a steady routine, and a person to love with his whole heart.
