His absolute favorite thing in the world is blankets and you can catch him snuggled into a blanket even during warmer weather. Carlos was bounced around homes before finding his way to JR's and it takes him longer than usual to get comfortable as a result. When he first arrived at his foster home, he was super nervous and preferred to spend time alone. Now that he's comfortable in his foster home, his playful side has emerged and he's become snuggly on occasion. He loves playing with toys, both independently and with foster mom. Although Carlos is currently living with other dogs, he's really looking for a forever home where he can be your one and only pet. He's very protective of foster mom and tries his best to make sure the other dogs aren't bothering her. In typical Chihuahua fashion, he isn't afraid to give bigger dogs a piece of his mind. Kids make him nervous, so he's looking for a child-free home as well. Carlos is low energy and spends most of his day snuggled up in a blanket on the couch or a bed. He's very independent and is ok spending the day in a different room than foster mom. He does like to snuggle for short bouts at his discretion when the household is relaxing in the evening. He screams like a fire alarm when he's startled or unhappy, so apartment living is not a good fit for him. Carlos is potty trained but not a fan of the cold so needs coaxing to potty outside during winter. He does well in his crate as long as he has a comfy blanket to snuggle into. Overall, Carlos is a typical Chihuaha personality (though maybe less snuggly than normal) that makes foster mom laugh every day with his antics and provides a lot of cute photo opportunities with his blanket shenanigans.You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about Carlos on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet him today!! Adoption fee: $525 All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days. Our adoption process requires the submission of an application. Applications and Adoption Rules can be found on our website, on the "HOW TO ADOPT" tab at JRsPupsNStuff.org. Upon receipt of the completed application, we will process the application including: contact with your veterinarian and completion of a home visit. Please be sure to include the contact information for your vet as we will call. If your vet requires an information release, please be sure to contact them as soon as you submit your application. He gets along with other dogs, is totally fine with cats, and good with people of all ages. He loves to go for walks and spends most of his day napping, burrowed under a pile of blankets. Price would be $150 for adoption. We acquired Winifred "Winnie" in June of 2022. She is wa and she is almost 2 years old (DOB 7/11/2021). She is very energetic and loves dogs and other people. Her new home should have active people who can take her on daily walks and be able to spend adequate time with her. She is gentle, sweet, relaxed, and is very well house trained. She loves to play with squeaky toys, chew on hard bones, and have her neck and belly scratched. She does not chew on anything that isn't her own toys and she doesn't beg for scraps. Besides being fully potty trained (she will whine when she needs to go outside) We have A LOT of items to provide the new owners as well - at least $150 in value. We are being required to go back to the office full-time starting in June. We do not feel it is fair to leave her at home all day while we're at the office. We are also expecting a new baby soon and feel her energy level will be too much to handle on top of 2 children.

Sweet & spicy Gentry wants to meet you! This adorable little Chihuahua mix is just 8 lbs., but he packs a ton of puppy energy & personality! Gentry was born in early March & experienced quite a bit of drama in his first several weeks, including rejection from his mother, a cross-country trip from TX to WI, & a battle with parvo, which he won. Through it all, Gentry has remained sweet, trusting, & full of joy. Although he loves people & dogs of all sizes & shapes, because Gentry is still teething, he would not be well suited for a home with young children. He loves to play with toys, especially with people or other dogs. Gentry does not like being alone, so his best home will have other dogs to help him feel secure. After a good play session, Gentry loves to be held & cuddled. He is crate-trained & doing very well on house training, provided he has ample opportunities to get outside. Alley is a chihuahua mix, about 2 years old & 7 pounds. She's incredibly smart, fairly well-mannered, & very playful. Once she comes out of her shell she gets along well with other dogs up to about 20 pounds. It's unknown how she does with cats or children. She'll need a VERY PATIENT forever person or family as currently, she's afraid of being handled or petted by people. The breakthrough on that is coming & we want it to happen with her forever humans. She's working on potty training (& has improved a lot) & being on a leash. Honestly, we're not sure she's ever had a family or person but she's getting used to attention. A good home for her will have another dog around her age who can play with her & show her the ropes when it comes to doing her business outside. She's spayed, vaccinated, & microchipped.
