Story
*****Requirements****** No apartments* No children* No other petsMeet Carlos, an 8 lb Chihuahua with an 800 lb personality that's cute as can be! He's a complete blanket fiend and loves to snuggle under them no matter the weather. Carlos was bounced around multiple homes before finding his way to JR's and it takes him longer than usual to get comfortable as a result. When he first arrived at his foster home, he was super nervous and preferred to spend time alone. Now that he's comfortable in his foster home, his playful side has emerged he's very silly. He loves playing with toys, both independently and with foster mom and gets the zoomies every night before bed. He does a very cute tippy tap dance when he's excited about something. Carlos does great with new adult humans, but doesn't jive with small children so he's looking for a kid-free home. Although Carlos is currently living with other dogs, he's really looking for a forever home where he can be your one and only pet. He's very protective of foster mom and tries his best to make sure the other dogs aren't bothering her. In typical Chihuahua fashion, he isn't afraid to give bigger dogs a piece of his mind. Despite the best efforts of some of the dogs in his foster home, he's completely uninterested in playing with other dogs, regardless of their size. Carlos is low energy and spends most of his day snuggled up in a blanket on the couch or a bed. He does ok on a leash but doesn't enjoy long walks and needs to go at his own pace. He's very independent and is ok spending the day in a different room than foster mom. He does like to snuggle for short bouts at his discretion when the household is relaxing in the evening. He speaks his mind and randomly breaks out into song, so apartment living is not a good fit for him.Carlos is potty trained but not a fan of the cold so needs coaxing to potty outside during winter. He does well in his crate as long as he has a comfy blanket to snuggle into, but is a very good boy and can be trusted outside a crate when foster mom is gone. Overall, Carlos is a typical Chihuaha personality (though maybe less snuggly than normal) that makes foster mom laugh every day with his antics and provides a lot of cute photo opportunities with his blanket shenanigans. You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about Carlos on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet him today!!Adoption fee: $525All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations.
