She is initially shy with new humans. Once she is home with her new family and has had a few days to decompress, she then becomes a sweet cuddler who wants to be held and sleep close to you at nite. she seems to do really qwll with puppies and young dogs and likes to have a friendly buddy to play with.   What Penny Needs     Typical of a Chihuahua mixes, Penny is  very protective of her humans and will bark when strangers come in and shy away from them. Penny require an adult-only home that does not receive visitations from Children and no children reside in the home. Penny would do well with dog savvy, chihuahua savvy owners who can work to give her more human socializing and lots of UNCONDITIONAL love, patience and Fear-Free training..   How Can You Meet Penny    Penny has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. She was terrorized by the children of the home. She needs an adult-only home and preferably one familiar with these breeds. Cici is in training to be housebroken. She is learning to use a doggie door and doing very well. Her foster siblings are teaching her how to be with humans and in a pack. Cici loves having dog friends. She will not do well as an only dog as she has never been without other dogs around her (I.E she has never been alone) Cici has bonded with her foster sister Misty. We would love if they could be adopted together. If Not,m there will need to be one or more small breed and plyful young dogs in the home for Cici to grow up with.
