He and his family had a Ruff start - abandoned in a homeless camp next to a busy CA freeway. An amazing Rescue team got them to safely and now they currently in Washington State foster homes. :) At about 10 weeks old, he's wee - about 6#. They are also low and long... so maybe Chiweenie? Forester also has a cute little tail curl... it's how we tell him from his sisters when they are bouncing around. He is the only boy in the litter and is active and silly... a typical puppy in every way, social, loves to play. And he loves cuddles! Of course we always love another friendly dog in a home with a puppy! These puppies are pretty confident... love playing with the resident Aussie. Due to this puppy’s smaller size, we aer looking for homes with children over the age of 6. This puppy is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated to appropriate age when they go home. They will need more puppy shots at 12 weeks, and at 16 weeks, including rabies. Puppies are good with dogs, cats, kids and more. Being a puppy, they will need lots of training, including housebreaking. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop... a lot! The 3-3-3 rule is a guideline for transitioning a rescue dog into its new home and helping it to settle in. It suggests that the first three days should be used for adjusting to its new surroundings, the next three weeks for training and bonding, and the first three months for continued socialization and training. Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption. Adoptions typically take place in Stanwood. We don’t hold puppies, adoption applications may be approved in just a few days depending on how quickly references respond. At about 11 weeks old, she's in the 10# range. Both her parents are under 25# pounds, so we think she will be in that size range. She is active and silly... a typical puppy in every way. The family couldn't keep them and by the time they came to us, they were already 6 months old. Mommy is a long haired chihuahua - but they were unusual looking so we did DNA and fell on the floor when the results just came in. 18% of their DNA is Malinois. It's obvious daddy was a bigger dog. With their long bodies, we actually thought dachshund or corgi. Ha! Beanie is only about 11# at 6 months old. We still think they will be under 20# like mommy. Beanie is currently in a foster home, learning all things puppy - crate training, leash walking and more. Once settled in, she's pretty silly and sweet. She loves to play with the resident dogs and would enjoy another dog in the home. This puppy is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Puppies are good with dogs, cats, kids and more. She has quite the history... her puppies, and another family, including daddy, were abandoned at a homeless camp next to a busy freeway. Rescuers stepped in and got the entire family to safety. Audi was a little stressed on transport day - but then quickly showed her true personality. She's very lovey - and silly. The veterinary team guessed she's about 3 years old. It's fun to watch her play with her puppies. We get the feeling she would love a family that is home often, likely being raised with people around her often. She likes to jump in laps and really deserves a home where she will be loved and adored! She's 15 pounds. Audi went to a foster home, separated from her puppies. She is doing great on housebreaking, the routine in her foster home has helped a great deal - she's even asking to go outside to potty! Audi prefers the company of women... she seems fearful of men, giving a little warning at first. She does warm up and will eventually cuddle - but given a choice, it's all about the foster Mom in the home. She is also learning to live with cats - super responsive to a verbal correction - she tried to chase the resident cats, was told no... and has not done it since. Good Girl!! She appears to have some type of breed that has the naturally weepy eyes... it does not bother her - just a breed thing. There has just been a lot of change in her life and her new family will give her patience and go slow until she's settled. She would love a home that provides lap snuggles and leisurely walks. We think an adult only home would be best. This dog is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. She's heart worm negative. Born around August 4, 2024 , and weighing in at a sturdy 15.9 pounds , Mowie is the definition of a "tough guy with a heart of gold." He was discovered hanging around the guard shack at Randolph AFB just as a major ice storm was rolling in. The kind-hearted guards had been sharing their lunches with him to keep him going, but they knew he needed a warm hearth to survive the freeze.
