This sweet little guy has a gentle soul and is looking for a patient home to help him come out of his shell. Hitch is loving and affectionate, but he can be a bit shy at first and takes some time to warm up. Once he feels safe, he absolutely loves to cuddle, hang out in your lap, and enjoy treats with his people. He is a “dog’s dog” and gains a lot of confidence from having another canine companion around. Because of this, Hitch will need a home with a well-adjusted, confident dog who can help show him the ropes and support him as he learns to navigate the world. Hitch is still building confidence with things like walking on leash and the outside world, so he’ll do best with patient adopters who can go at his pace and help him continue to grow. A quieter, predictable home environment will be key to helping him feel secure—he would do best in a home without young children and outside of busy city living.
