To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application!Bindi is 1 yrs old Bindi is as sweet as Valentine’s Day candy and oh so loving. She’s a happy girl, though Bindi hasn’t shown any interest in playing with toys just yet. Bindi’s greatest joy in life is being with her people. She is housebroken and doesn’t chew on things she shouldn’t. Bindi is also great with other dogs and doesn’t react to bunnies, squirrels or deer. She walks on a leash tolerably well but would benefit from some additional leash and obedience training. Because Bindi is high energy, her foster mom believes she would do best with older children. Like most collies, she barks to alert and “speak.” Bindi is patiently waiting for her forever Valentine, who she will lavish with love and attention.     Dont forget to visit our informative website, www.almosthomeohio.org, for valuable information and interesting features.May 26, 2026, 3:02 pm

Story
To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application!Bello is 6 yrs old and new to the rescue.  Looking to double your joy? Meet Bello and Jacoby, an instant collie family! This bonded pair will be adopted together, and once you meet them, you’ll see why. Both are incredibly sweet, with Jacoby helping her shy best friend Bello feel more confident and happy. Bello, a handsome tri-color, prefers to take it all in from a cozy safe spot. He doesn’t need to be crated and has wonderful house manners. While he may be shy, he still wants to be near his people, just on his own terms. At night, he’s perfectly content snoozing beside the bed. Bello thrives on routine. His dream forever home is a quiet household—whether that’s one person or a whole family—where someone is often home. He gets along well with other dogs, but has not been around cats. He is a gentleman outside, whether wandering the yard or walking nicely on a leash. Bello did take a little time to adjust to his foster home and is startled by loud noises or quick movements, but he’s truly blossoming as he learns he’s safe and loved. Gentle and sweet-natured, Bello enjoys hugs and a good petting session. Jacoby, a beautiful smooth-coated collie, is Bello’s security blanket and confidence booster. She’s more outgoing, friendly, playful and also curious. In a fenced yard, she’ll happily bark at any deer or squirrels to let them know she’s got her eye on them. She does especially well with a routine for going outside. Whether inside or out, Jacoby is also interested in what is going on around her; she’s engaged and curious. She enjoys meeting new people, chewing on her Kong, and is very polite with both dogs and humans, but she is not fond of thunder. Coming from a more suburban home, she’s still getting adjusted to areas with more visible traffic, but the fosters feel she will get used to it. Jacoby is elegant, sweet, she also shares Bello’s appreciation for a good brushing. If your heart and home have room for two, Bello and Jacoby are ready to bring twice the love to their forever familyDont forget to visit our informative website, www.almosthomeohio.org, for valuable information and interesting features.May 26, 2026, 3:02 pm

Story
To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application!KC is 5.5 yrs old Besides being a gorgeous lass, KC is the perfect dog for someone who wants to be loved, followed and cuddled. She is the definition of couch potato, unless her person leaves the room. Then she’s more than happy to follow them just to be close.    KC asked me to pass along her wishlist for her perfect forever home. She promises she won’t be much trouble at all because she has no need for long walks and really doesn’t care to be active. She’s not looking for her forever person to be her entertainment. She just wants to be loved and give love. KC asks for a quiet home without any children and definitely doesn’t want any dog siblings. If you like to read or watch tv, she will be right there with you basking in your presence. KC does seem to like the foster’s cat, but she tends to be a bit too exuberant for their kitty and hasn’t learned when she’s playing rough. So, KC might be fine in a home with a dog-savvy cat. She hopes her person or people will be home a lot, because she gets a bit anxious when left alone. She also says she doesn’t like to be startled by anything. KC wants you to know she doesn’t need to be crated. She also wants to share that she has room in her heart for more than one person and is more than happy to snuggle right between two people and soak up all the affection.    How much love can your heart hold? If you’re looking for companionship, KC would love to meet you.  She is unconditional love personified: a living world’s best stuffie with that beautiful coat to pet and hug. To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application!Stevie is 5.5 yrs old and new to our rescue. Absolutely beautiful describes 5-½-year-old Stevie. Her adorable tri-colored face is matched by an equally loving personality. Her foster family says she’s slowly engaging in play with the family dog and has become his friend. When at rest, they love to lie next to each other, happily napping together on the floor. In fact, Stevie loves dogs so much that she’ll whine on walks to get their attention! This friendly trait extends to humans as well—expect some whimpering until she gets the pets she’s hoping for. She is a vocal communicator, but she is also obedient and will settle down when asked.   Stevie loves to explore the outdoors and especially loves to play ball. A good game of ball is her favorite activity, even engaging in play in the home. A real people-pleaser, she loves to learn new things and will do tricks for treats! She already knows the commands: sit, shake, down, stay and wait. Whether you want to play or relax, this friendly gal is for you. She adores people, so don’t be surprised if you find her in your bed, happily seeking out belly and body rubs, and giving plenty of snuggles and love in return!  Dont forget to visit our informative website, www.almosthomeohio.org, for valuable information and interesting features.May 26, 2026, 3:02 pm

Story
FENCE REQUIRED Zane came into the world with dust on the wind and a restless spark in his bones, the kind of spirit that always sees the good in life. At nine months, he is all legs and motion, a tri-colored rough Collie with a coat that caught the light like the wide-open plains at sunrise. There is a little mischief in him, sure enough—something a little wild and untested—but that’s the way of young things meant for bigger horizons. He rides close to his people, not by saddle but by instinct, keeping watch with bright eyes and a heart that knew loyalty before it knew caution. When the trail bends long and the day wears thin, Zane is there, trotting ahead as if the land itself had whispered directions only he could hear. And when night settles in, he stays near, a quiet presence wrapped in fur and warmth, as steady as a campfire glow. Folks might say he is a little zany, and they wouldn’t be wrong. But beneath that restless energy is something finer—a dog ready to grow into his place, ready to carve his mark alongside the ones he trusts. Out on the range, where the world stretches wide and unforgiving, there’s no room for anything but truth. And Zane, for all his youth and foolish bursts of energy, is as true as they come. He isn't finished yet, but you can see it in the way he stands against the horizon, ears high, eyes forward. He is going to be something worth remembering. This is one special boy! If Zane strikes your fancy and you are ready to help him continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don't wait! And if Zane is not your cup of tea, we have many more Collies of all ages coming in weekly. Please visit https://tristatecollierescue.org/how-to-adopt/ to complete the adoption application. Zane is being fostered in GA (Atlanta area) If you are interested in this dog; and wish additional information, you MUST submit an application on our website. Once we receive your application, an interviewer will call you and try to answer any additional questions you may have. In order to continue our rescue efforts and help more dogs, we require an adoption donation ranging from $75 - $500, depending on the age, breed and the expenses incurred on the individual dog. Our application can be found at http://www.tristatecollierescue.org/ under the adopt tab. Thank you.
