Story
Name: Sonny Age: Approximately 8 years old (not 100% sure but he was adopted in 2017 and was about a year old at that time) Sonny is a cuddle-ly type of dog. He follows you around the house and always wants to be by your side. He usually very friendly to people of all ages BUT I will suggest to keep him away from toddlers and younger children only because they sometimes play a bit rough with him. He's typically good with other dogs at the dog park as he loves running around with them. In the home, we have another dog that he loves and they get along perfectly. I will suggest no more than one other dog in the home with him because we had a 3rd dog and they didn't seem to get along very well. So I would say he's best as the only dog or with one other dog. He has good energy and used to love going for a walk around the neighborhood, he's house broken as well.

Story
Sinnamon, 4 yr old male. Looks to be a chihuahua mix. Weighs 18 lbs and should be 15 lbs. Very friendly, sweet and loving. Enjoys being outside. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

THIS IS A COURTESY POST PLEASE REACH OUT TO EMAIL BELOW ali.mentana@gmail.com   my BIL found him abandoned in a crate (with no food or water!) on the side of the road on 5/19. He was microchipped but the woman he was registered to claimed to have given him away a year ago, though she refused to provide any contact information. GCAS took him in but let us do a friendly finder for him so he did not have to actually stay at the shelter. His stray hold was up on 5/31 so he was neutered last Monday and is now ready for adoption!   LOCATION OF DOG: In foster (Lilburn, GA) NAME: Short Round MALE OR FEMALE: Male  AGE OR DATE OF BIRTH (best estimate): 3.5 yrs old WEIGHT (best estimate): 32 lbs HOUSE BROKEN : Yes BREED or MIX (best guess): Corgi/Lab mix SPAYED (females) OR NEUTERED (males): Yes, Neutered VACCINATED: Yes IF VACCINATED- Can you provide documentation/vet records to support their vaccine history? Yes ON HEARTWORM PREVENTION? Yes - he is HW negative ON FLEA/TICK PREVENTION? Yes GOOD WITH KIDS: Yes GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS: Yes (though he can be a bit bossy!) GOOD WITH CATS: Unsure - shows more interest in our cat than we are comfortable with; he may just want to play with her, but it's hard to tell.  PREFERRED CONTACT METHOD & INFO: email -  ali.mentana@gmail.com OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT THE DOG: Short Round is a very happy-go-lucky dog who loves everyone he meets! He can be a little jumpy and wants to be in your lap whenever possible, but he is responsive to verbal correction and knows some basic commands so with a stable home and a little training he will be a wonderful dog! He loves to play with toys and balls and is very treat-motivated. He pulls a little on the leash but is small enough where he is easy to control. Story
Cooper is a super sweet, two-year-old male. He loves to play fetch or tug of war or snuggle up on the couch with his humans. He is a great companion. He gets along with my cat and has gotten along with any children I have seen him around, youngest being 6. He is gentle and really just wants to be loved on. No behavioral issues aside from some car anxiety. He comes with a car seat cover, a bed, any toys I have, a GPS tracking collar, and any food and treats I might have leftover. He is microchipped as well. The adoption fee can be discussed as long as he is going to a loving home!

Story
Short Round LOVES to play with toys, balls, and other dogs. I think he would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he could run around, ideally with a dog companion, but he would also probably be fine as an only dog as long as he gets a lot of human attention. Found abandoned in a crate on the side of the road with no food or water. Was already microchipped but the woman he was registered to claimed to have given him away a year prior and refused to provide any further information. According to the microchip, his name was originally Sonic, but we renamed him Short Round. Age: 3.5 years old approx  Weight: approx 32 lbs  Temperament: Gets along with adults, kids older than 5, dogs but not cats Training: house trained, crate trained.  Vetting: Neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative  For questions about Short Round, please email.  ali.mentana@gmail.com   &#226&#128&#139To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself June 17, 2024, 7:44 pm
