Story
Freddy is a high-energy, happy-go-lucky boy who is great with dogs and kids! He loves to do big zoomies in a circle, then race right back to you for cuddles. After a long day of playing fetch—where he happily chases the ball, even if he doesn’t always bring it back—Freddy is more than ready to snuggle in. If you’re on the couch, expect him to curl right into your back and soak up the love. Freddy is a joyful, affectionate boy who is absolutely ready to find his forever home. If you want it shorter or extra playful, I can tweak the tone too Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out the application at www.woodscreekrescue.com. Filling out the application is not a commitment to an adoption and needs to be done prior to any further questions you might have or information you are seeking. Our Process is the following: 1. Fill out an application 2. Once the application is approved, you will be called or emailed about setting up a day and time to meet me. 3. After a "Meet and Greet" then a decision for both the rescue and you will determine if this is a good match. After this is determined, we will schedule a home check which can be the day of adoption depending on how things go. Want to see more of me? Check us out on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok. We love having new followers.

Story
Hi there… I’m Bella I’m a tiny little Chiweenie lady weighing about 10 pounds of pure cuddle talent. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who believes personal space is optional, we might just be soulmates. My Personality I’m what you’d call a professional companion. I don’t just like being near my person — I need to be where you are. Kitchen? I’m supervising. Couch? I’m snuggling. Bathroom? Moral support is important. I used to have a best friend named Roscoe, and I miss him very much. Because I’m used to having a buddy, I’d really love a home where someone is around most of the time or where there’s another sweet little dog for company. I’m happiest when I’m not alone. When I’m really content, I make the cutest little happy grunts. That’s just me saying, “Life is good and I love you.” The Important Stuff • Housebroken - check! • Leash trained – I walk like a polite little lady • Great with other dogs (especially small ones!) • Wonderful with kids • Sleeps in the bed with you or in my dog bed • Greets you at the door every single time • Follows you everywhere because you are my favorite I can be a tiny bit shy when I first meet someone, but give me a little patience and I turn into a full-time cuddle bug. My Ideal Home I would love: • A fenced yard so I can enjoy sniffing around safely • A home where someone is around most of the time • Maybe a calm dog friend • A cozy couch (non-negotiable) I love being outside when the weather is nice, but I’m not a wild child — I’m more of a “sunbeam and fresh air” kind of girl. Health & Glow-Up I’m currently on a diet and doing great! I need to lose a little weight, and I’m already feeling better and getting more pep in my step. With steady meals and gentle exercise, I’ll be my healthiest, happiest self. My Story I was in a shelter before coming into rescue, and after losing my brother Roscoe, I really learned how special a loving home is. Now I’m just looking for a soft place to land and a human (or two) to adore. If you want a chill, loving, shadow-dog who will cuddle like it’s her full-time job… I’m your girl.

Story
**Now fostered in Seattle, WA** Meet Tuck – Your New Best Friend! Tuck is a sweet and gentle dachshund with a heart full of love and a true talent for cuddling. This little guy is the definition of a lap dog and thrives in calm, quiet environments with people that enjoy having their dog with them wherever they are, and where he can enjoy the simple pleasures of life—like sunny naps, leisurely strolls, and cozy evenings on the couch. Tuck has experience living with other dogs, but he’d be perfectly content as the only dog in a home, especially with a singleton or older adult looking for a loyal companion. Tuck is also great with cats! He can live very peacefully with a feline friend, as he currently does in his foster home. He’s wonderful on leash and will happily accompany you on walks, or enjoy the freedom of a secure yard where he can sniff and explore. Tuck does great out in public, greeting all the friendly faces, and would be an excellent brewery dog! Tuck is really easy going, and as long as his people are near, he is just happy, happy, happy :) If you're looking for a devoted, low-key companion who will adore you endlessly, Tuck might just be your perfect match. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!   You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!    The adoption fee is $1,200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!    We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.    Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!    Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.   Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:   Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!   Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!   Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms.
