Story
Frito lives for love, a true companion that has an endless supply of cuddles and affection for you. Frito is an adventurer at heart, but his favorite pastime is lying next to you or on your lap if you’ll allow it. Bonus, his love is not exclusive to his owner; he shows the same affection to all humans. Frito is always ready for play, a run, a walk around the neighborhood otlr through the woods, or a hike, and he will fearlessly follow you on any adventure. He has big energy compressed into a pocket sized body. He’s just a silly little meatball. He is great on a leash when you’ve got his attention, and behaves himself when passing other dogs and people. Frito has great recall in the house and outside. He is crate trained and potty trained. Frito has been left behind in his past and as a result he has quite a bit of separation anxiety. He displays this anxiety by whining and crying. As he learns to trust he does quiet down, but he would not be best suited for apartment living as neighbor noises will surely m lake him think he's being ignored and they'll be able to hear him. When you get home Frito is the happiest boy, jumping and running around, he explodes with excitement. Frito will need time and dedication to completely correct his overly excited behavior. Frito would do best in a home that is committed to his training him to be the best boy he can be. Frito LOVES kids - like extra loves kids. He is good with cats but does like to try to play so an understanding cat would be ideal, or the cat having a place to have some peace. Frito is good with dogs of all sizes, though his energy could be a lot for some, so a tolerant friend, and slow introductions would be best. Are you ready for endless cuddles and entertainment? Are you a strong leader looking for a lovable, active, pocked-sized sidekick? Then Frito is just the pup for you!

Story
Do you love your dogs big on love but little on legs? You have found yourself right where you need to be if so because this girl is a half-pint lover girl! Betsy is her name and she is a deeply loving, people-oriented girl who believes closeness is the greatest love language. The bonus for you is that not only is she loving but she has a great personality, keeps the humor high, and is about the cutest mini-mix around. Take a moment to watch her video and see just how short her legs are and just how big her love is. Meet her then come back to read more: 👉 https://youtu.be/JYDZZkD0bzs Betsy is estimated to be 2 years old, she weighs 26 lbs, and may be a Dachshund / Lab mix. Of course, given she is a rescue we cannot guarantee breed or birthday. I honestly could not get over how quickly connection came with Betsy. Seriously everyone who met her was in love within a few minutes simply because of how loving her connection is. She approaches new people with an enthusiastic, warm hello- the kind that feels like a life-long friend. That deep bond and connection comes from a sensitive heart which means when her people leave the room, she may paw or whine at the door because she wants so much to stay close. With patience, structure, and reassurance, she will continue learning confidence and independence, but her truest joy will always be near her people. Betsy is so fortunate and is living in a loving foster home while she waits for her adoption day. This means her foster has a front-row seat to her personality while she continues to learn the best house manners. Betsy lives with other dogs and loves the fun of canine companionship. She has a confident nature with other dogs and is quick to jump in and play with new friends. On leash, Betsy walks nicely when the world is quiet and calm. Around other dogs on leash, she can get excited and bark, especially when she wants to meet them (which is almost always.) Once greetings move to an off-leash setting, she relaxes, loosens up, and shows her happy, playful side -especially with friendly, medium-energy male dogs who enjoy chase-style play and also know how to take breaks. She currently lives successfully with both big and small dogs in her foster home, and would do best with dogs who are social but not overly pushy. She also shares affection well alongside another dog, which is a sweet reflection of her big heart. Now Betsy is perfect in every sense but that does not means she is without some areas of “no thank you.” Betsy is not a match for a home with cats and she will do best in a house with a yard rather than an apartment, since her chatty leash moments are best managed in low-traffic, controlled environments with off-leash introductions to resident dogs. What she offers in return is something super sweet and special. Betsy is warm, loyal, deeply loving, and wonderfully family-minded. She wants to be included, to curl up beside you, to follow you from room to room, and to live life as someone’s beloved bestie. For adopters who appreciate closeness, cuddles, and a dog who loves with her whole soul, Betsy will feel like home from day one. Questions about Betsy? Story
This cutie is Alesie. She is currently3 month old. We think they may be a dachshund mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from us, it saves their life as well as the life of another in its place. Watch Alesie’s playful personality here: https://youtu.be/_73_P-NTZmw?si=wCVvxT1QwF9o1XdS Alesie is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. She loves to play with his/her siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! We pride ourselves in being able to give you good personality and behavioral information to help ensure this baby is the right fit for you. You are also welcome to do a Facetime call to meet your new baby before signing paperwork! Alesie is still very young and will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. A puppy is discovering new things that shape their personalities with each passing day. Implementing routine, structure, setting boundaries, and proper socialization is key from the start. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy starting immediately when arriving at their new home, which will help with potty training, energy management, and the overall development of a well-rounded adult dog. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
