Meet Midnight Oreo A Distemper Survivor with a Heart Full of Hope and Love ❤️ Breed:  Terrier Mix Gender: Male | DOB: Feb 08, 2026 | Weight/Expected Size: 17 lbs  Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Cats: Unknown | Kids ✔️ Medical: ✔️ Neuter ✔️ Three Puppy Vaccinations Completed | ✔️ Microchipped | ⭐ Distemper Survivor Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue provides safe transportation to approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Midnight Oreo's Story Midnight Oreo has already overcome more in his short life than most dogs ever will. As a young puppy, he was abandoned and left to survive on his own. Without a family to protect him, he faced hunger, uncertainty, and the dangers of life on the streets. Thankfully, kind rescuers found him and gave him the care he desperately needed. Shortly after entering rescue, Midnight Oreo was diagnosed with canine distemper, a devastating disease that many puppies don't survive. Thanks to dedicated veterinary care, proper treatment, and his incredible fighting spirit, Midnight Oreo beat the odds. Today, he is a proud distemper survivor who is healthy, happy, and ready to find the loving family he has always deserved. You would never guess everything this little guy has been through. Midnight Oreo is playful, affectionate, and full of puppy enthusiasm. He loves toys, enjoys exploring new places, and is always excited to spend time with people. After a day of playing, he's happiest curled up beside you, soaking up all the love and attention he can get. Midnight Oreo is expected to grow into an intelligent, loyal, and active companion. He is  friendly, eager-to-please personalities, while Terriers add confidence, curiosity, and a playful spirit. Together, these breeds create a wonderful family companion who enjoys both adventures and quiet time with the people he loves. Midnight Oreo would thrive in a home that offers: Plenty of love and companionship Daily walks and age-appropriate exercise Positive reinforcement training Interactive toys and mental enrichment Continued socialization with people and other dogs A consistent daily routine A safe indoor home where he's treated as a beloved member of the family A lifetime of love, patience, and commitment Midnight Oreo has already proven how strong and resilient he is. Now he's ready for the easy part—a family to love and a home where he'll never have to fight for another chance again. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Midnight Oreo is still a young puppy and is learning about the world every day. His new family should expect normal puppy behaviors, including chewing, teething, house-training, and lots of curiosity. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to learn your household routine 3 Months to fully settle into family life Midnight Oreo is eager to learn and will thrive with patient, positive reinforcement training. His new family should continue providing: Positive reinforcement training House-training and consistent routines Daily exercise appropriate for his age Continued socialization Mental enrichment through toys and games Plenty of love, patience, and encouragement With guidance and consistency, Midnight Oreo will grow into a confident, well-mannered companion who will reward his family with endless loyalty and affection. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Bringing home a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes proper veterinary care, training, exercise, and companionship. As part of responsible pet ownership, Midnight Oreo will need: Routine veterinary wellness examinations Completion of any remaining vaccinations as recommended by your veterinarian Neutering when age-appropriate Monthly flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention A balanced, high-quality diet to support healthy growth Daily exercise and mental enrichment Continued obedience training and socialization A safe, loving indoor home where he is treated as a cherished member of the family As a distemper survivor, we recommend discussing his medical history with your veterinarian during his first wellness visit. Most survivors go on to live happy, fulfilling lives, and routine veterinary care will help ensure Midnight Oreo continues to thrive. Story
Gideon Beau invitation to play comes with the cutest little routine: tappy feet, a quick zoom one way, then right back again, all to convince a dog friend to join the fun. It is ridiculously cute, and just a little preview of the silly, sweet boy you’ll get to know. Between his playful antics, his love of toys, and the cuddles he saves for his favorite people, this handsome little guy has plenty of ways to capture your heart. Watch his video and fall in love with this little cutie: https://youtu.be/f_wyE_sSOLQ?si=0IPmm9DoW6uqRLiI Gideon is approximately 8 months old and currently weighs 12 pounds. Our best guess is that he’s a Dachshund/Chihuahua mix, but with animal rescue, breed is always a bit of a mystery! What we do know is that this little boy has plenty of sweetness and silliness packed into his tiny body. Gideon can be shy when he first meets you, so give him a little time to settle in and get to know you. Gentle encouragement, kind words, and tasty treats help him feel comfortable enough to let his personality shine. Before you know it, you’ll have a cute little boy running around your house, showing off his toys, making you laugh, and scooting close for affection. Other dogs are absolutely Gideon’s kind of company! He is fostered in a multi-dog household with both bigger dogs and little ones his size, and he loves having buddies to play with. His adorable back-and-forth zoomies and little tapping feet make his invitations pretty hard to resist. Imagine watching him bounce around with a canine sibling, turning an ordinary afternoon into their own little playdate. A home with a friendly, playful dog would give him a buddy to share all that fun with. Gideon also loves toys and is happy to carry a favorite around or entertain himself with a little solo playtime. He is very food-motivated and takes treats from your hand with the softest, gentlest touch. Those tasty rewards are a lovely way to get acquainted and give him something to look forward to as he learns your routine. Once he feels at home, Gideon is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves cuddling and being close to his favorite humans. Picture little paws pattering through your house, a toy proudly carried into the room, and this precious boy settling beside you after a good round of play. Give him a little time in the beginning, and you’ll get to discover all the sweetness and silliness that make Gideon so easy to love. Story
Flower Lilly Little Legs Big Charm has a long body, little legs, and big doe eyes that could talk you into just about anything. An extra treat? Of course. A few more minutes of back scratches? Absolutely. With her gorgeous black coat and wonderfully low-to-the-ground figure, she’s a very cute reminder that legs don’t have to be long to get you places. Go watch Flower Lilly on YouTube to meet this little beauty and get a glimpse of the sweet girl behind those big brown eyes. Copy and paste the link into your browser to see more! https://youtu.be/ilHzLma5yII?si=uV7IrM2lsMMIbs6x Flower Lilly is estimated to be three years old and weighs 43 pounds—a lovely medium-sized girl with what can only be described as a “Dachsador” body. We’re guessing Labrador Retriever and Dachshund may be part of the recipe, though her age and breed are our best guesses. Whatever the combination, the proportions are pretty adorable. She’s fostered in a loving home with a wide variety of big and small dogs, and her foster describes her as happy, fun, and happy to offer a little management when she thinks the household needs it. Those little legs come with some personality! She enjoys being part of the crew and has a playful, affectionate side that shines in the comfort of her foster home. When we first met Flower Lilly, she took a little time to get acquainted. Even during those quieter first moments, her warm, gentle nature was easy to see. A soft hello and a little patience give her room to get comfortable and let you meet more of the girl her foster knows and loves. Flower Lilly is also house and crate trained, bringing some lovely home-life experience along with her sweet face. She has a wonderful mix of grown-dog manners, a fun personality, and plenty of affection to share. She’d love a home where she can settle in, get to know her people, and become part of the everyday happenings. In return, she offers good company, a little comic relief, and a very convincing argument for giving the short-legged girl whatever she wants. Apply to adopt Flower Lilly and give those little legs somewhere lovely to land. Story
Meet Darrell! This tiny, ridiculously handsome little guy is about a year old and we believe he may be a Dachshund/chihuahua mix. With his short legs, speckled paws, expressive eyebrows, and permanent "I know something you don't know" grin, Darrell looks like he walked straight out of a cartoon. At first glance, Darrell can come across as a tough guy. In reality, he's more like a tiny security guard who takes his job a little too seriously. His job? Making sure his favorite people are safe and properly loved. Watch Darrell in action in his video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTR5fmcZ9EM Once Darrell decides you're one of his people, you're in. He absolutely adores his trusted humans and turns into a total cuddle bug. He's perfectly lap-sized, loves curling up next to his family, and thinks car rides are one of the greatest inventions of all time. If you're headed somewhere, Darrell would like to come too. He also loves having a routine. His crate is his cozy little bedroom, and he happily trots right inside when it's time to relax. Predictability helps him feel safe, and he's the kind of dog who thrives when he knows what to expect. Darrell currently lives with dogs and cats and does very well with both. He's generally pretty aloof with other dogs, preferring to mind his own business rather than get involved in puppy politics. He gets along well with dogs who respect personal space and don't constantly pester him. He also lives with cats and has learned that after one firm feline correction, it's best to mind your own business. Smart guy. Now for the important part: Darrell is not a dog who enjoys strangers getting in his face or handling him before trust has been built. He can absolutely be mouthy when he's uncomfortable and may snap or bite if his boundaries are ignored. He's not being mean—he's just very clear about his feelings and expects people to listen. Because of this, Darrell needs an adopter who understands dog body language and respects that relationships take time. Darrell thrives on routine and predictability. He loves his crate, enjoys knowing what's coming next, and settles beautifully into home life. His foster reports that he has experienced occasional seizures throughout his life, but they have been rare and have never stopped him from being a happy, adventurous little dog. Car rides, lap time, snacks, and spending time with his favorite people are still at the top of his priority list. Because of his medical history and his preference for limited stranger handling, Darrell will be adopted as-is. Future adopters should be comfortable monitoring his health alongside their veterinarian, but overall he continues to enjoy a fantastic quality of life and spends his days doing what he does best: being an adorable little sidekick. The good news? Once he trusts you, he's incredibly loving, loyal, and affectionate. The bond he forms with his people is something special. He's not looking for a hundred friends. He's looking for his family. His ideal home would be a quieter household with older children or adults who appreciate a dog with a little sass and a lot of personality. No apartments for this guy—he can be a bit chatty when he has opinions, and Darrell definitely has opinions. Darrell is the canine version of that grumpy old man who secretly has a heart of gold. He's funny, loyal, adorable, and full of character. He won't love everyone, but if he chooses you, you'll have one of the most devoted little sidekicks around. And honestly? That's kind of what makes him so special. 🖤🐾✨ Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
