Story
Hammer is an absolute gem with the most delightful personality! She is a survivor of parvo and although she gave us a few scares, she managed to pull through and is now a happy, healthy girl. This sweet pup will eat just about anything you put in front of her - she's not picky at all! Hammer gets along great with people, dogs, and kids. While we haven't tested her with cats yet, we can do so upon request.Hammer is a total love bug who adores cuddling up with her favorite humans. She's a smart girl who has been with us since birth and is now a year old old. Her mom, a Bull Terrier, came to us pregnant, but we're unsure of who her dad is. Hammer is eagerly waiting to find her forever home. She can be a bit territorial over her food and toys, but it's nothing to worry too much about - just a minor quirk. Hammer loves to play with other dogs and while she's not the most gentle, she's also not too rough - she's just right in the middle! She enjoys playing with all kinds of toys, whether they're hard, bone-like, or stuffed.Overall, Hammer is an incredible puppy who will grow to be the perfect medium size - not too big, not too small! If you're interested in adopting this amazing pup, please fill out an application on our website at www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions. Let's find Hammer her forever home!July 11, 2024, 10:16 pm

Story
Meet Lupita, a 1.5-year-old bundle of joy weighing 18 pounds. She's a young, gentle soul, with a mellow demeanor that radiates calmness. Lupita is a bit shy at first, but don't let that fool you. Behind her timid exterior lies a brave, independent spirit waiting to blossom. She loves to cuddle, offering comfort in her own quiet way. Lupita's shyness may mean she takes a little time to come around, but once she does, her love is truly rewarding. She's looking for a patient and understanding family who can help her come out of her shell. Adopting Lupita means gaining a loyal, loving companion who will make every day brighter with her gentle presence. Story
****ADOPTION APPLICATION HERE*** Hi, my name is Susie! I’m a one and a half year old Dachshund /Jack Russell terrier mix. My story started off sad but keeps getting better every day. I found myself at a local shelter only days away from giving birth. The kind ladies there reached out to CARE who took me in. I gave birth to seven beautiful babies who are all finding their forever homes. I was told by my foster parents and the sweetest and most loving little Foster doggie and I was a good mother. I’m so happy for my kids finding homes but now I hope it’s my turn to find a forever family. I get along with other doggies, and I get along with all the other dogs that I have met. Please consider making me park of your family. To find out more information on this dog please apply to adopt on our website at www.caretx.org/adopt and CARE will be in touch with you ASAP! This dog was rescued from a kill shelter or the streets and has been evaluated for medical and temperament to prepare for a forever home and is in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas* and is ready to fly to its final destination once adopted. The adoption fee of $995 covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, kennel that it travels in and air transport. Please email adoptions@caretx.org * CARE rescue is in San Antonio, TX where we have a serious pet overpopulation situation. CARE is a non profit 501c3 rescue that has been saving lives for over 14 years and with your adoption, we can help save even more deserving urgent adoptable pets! We fly our pets to approved adopters all over the US, especially in low kill and no kill markets where there is a demand for rescue pets!
