She’s doing amazing and making great progress on her journey to find her forever home. **Chewing Improvement**: We’re still working on the chewing, but she’s adjusting well to her chew toys. **Potty Progress**: Nelly is going in and out to potty regularly, though she sometimes uses a puppy pad if she can't wait. **Yard Adventures**: While she’s still a bit hesitant to come back inside from the yard, she’s getting much better at going out by us! **Growing Affection**: Nelly has started to play more and loves coming up for cuddles when we’re sitting down. Harley 2 is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish him as a family member. He is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want his transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities (listed below!). Sissy was brought into a tobacco store in a busy tourist area in Tennessee by a homeless man who was struggling to care for her. After asking an employee for a cigarette, he ran out of the store—leaving Sissy behind. When police located him, he admitted he could no longer care for her. They suggested she be taken to an already overcrowded shelter… but thankfully, that’s not where her story ended. The employee, Mary, knew Sissy deserved better. She reached out to rescue partners, and from there, Sissy got the second chance she so desperately needed.
