They were surrendered with medical needs and facing a looming deadline as their family prepared to move. We knew we had to keep them out of the shelter system and offer them a safe place to land.These boys are now ready to find a family that will love them through their golden years! Chester, the more reserved of the two, is a true napper, content to snooze most of the day. He likes to keep an eye on you from a comfortable distance, occasionally coming over for a gentle pet. Walks are enjoyed at his own charming waddle! Gunner, a bit more energetic, loves to play with toys and run for a bit before settling down for his own naps. He’s a snuggler, enjoying couch time, and moves at a faster pace on walks than Chester. Both boys are treat-motivated and are doing well with a consistent bathroom schedule. Taking in owner-surrendered pets like Chester and Gunner – especially seniors and those with medical needs – is part of our mission. In many cases, these pets would end up in overwhelmed shelters. We can only save them when space is available or have an adopter. MAXIEN is a baby, sweet, loving and playful. She is in a Kill shelter needs a hero to adopt and save her. She is dog friendly. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This girl was brought in with babies when her owner couldn't take care of her. She was not socialized very well so will need some work. She will need a very patient person to get her to come out of her shell. She was kept outside so she has no house manners, nor has she been with cats. She does do well with dogs her size and seems to like to play with them. She deserves a new chance to be a loved dog and companion. She will take a lot of time and investment but deserves a chance!
