Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. These adorable little ones are the proud pups of Duchess, a small, low-riding sweetheart (around 25–30 pounds) who looks like a delightful Dachshund/Lab mix. She may have short legs, but she’s overflowing with love—and her puppies clearly took after her in all the best ways.   Raised by their wonderful mama and with lots of love from us, these puppies are confident, fearless, and full of personality. They bounce through life with curiosity and joy, always ready for their next adventure—whether that’s exploring, playing, or getting into a little bit of harmless mischief.   They are smart, affectionate, and absolutely full of life. They love people, adore each other, and approach the world with happy, wagging enthusiasm. These pups will keep you smiling, keep you moving, and most of all… keep your heart very full.   Simply put, they are bundles of love just waiting for families to call their own. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. We try to post videos for each pet so you can really get to know them. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Concha was saved from a high-kill shelter in Calfornia and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine on Wednesday 3rd August. We post our available dogs in states across the East Coast and Canada to reach as many people as possible in hopes of finding perfect homes and families. We do not transport dogs — families must come to the rescue in Sebec, Maine to meet and, hopefully, take home their new best friend. She’s doing amazing and making great progress on her journey to find her forever home.   **Chewing Improvement**: We’re still working on the chewing, but she’s adjusting well to her chew toys. **Potty Progress**: Nelly is going in and out to potty regularly, though she sometimes uses a puppy pad if she can't wait. **Yard Adventures**: While she’s still a bit hesitant to come back inside from the yard, she’s getting much better at going out by us! **Growing Affection**: Nelly has started to play more and loves coming up for cuddles when we’re sitting down. She’s a little nervous when we stand, but her curiosity is growing, and she’s starting to explore what we’re up to instead of just scurrying away. **Response to Name**: She’s also beginning to respond well to her name, which is such a wonderful sign! **Excited Greetings**: Nelly is now the first to greet us at the door with tail wags and excitement when we come home—it's the best welcome ever! **Couch Snuggles**: She’s getting big on couch snuggles too!   Nelly is a sweet girl with so much love to give, and I know the perfect family is out there waiting for her. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Duchess   True to her name, Duchess carries herself with a quiet grace—but don’t let those short little legs fool you… this girl is full of heart and personality.   Weighing around 25–30 pounds, Duchess appears to be a Dachshund/Lab mix, giving her that adorable low-rider look paired with a soft, loving expression. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and devoted—one of those dogs who simply wants to be near her people and soak up all the love she can.   Duchess has been a wonderful mother, raising her puppies with patience and care, and passing along her gentle nature and love for life. She’s the kind of dog who will happily be your companion through it all—whether that’s relaxing at home or following you around just to be close.   She may be small in stature, but she has a big presence and an even bigger heart. Duchess is ready to leave her mama duties behind and find a family of her own—one who will love her as much as she will love them. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans.
