Story
Lily! This approx 6 month old 20 lbs little lady is Lily. We really have no idea what her mix is - she is definitely part WhyAreYourLegsSoShort, part OhhhhYouCute and 100% GoodGirl. Our best educated guess is maybe some sort of dachshund/terrier type mix. Lily is a really sweet dog. She was in a temporary foster home and lived happily with other friendly dogs. She has tested well with cats and kids. Lily is a typical young pup who would appreciate an adopter who understands the commitment of a puppy and are willing to continue to work with her on training and basic manners. She does well in a crate. Lily's adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations to date and microchipping. She is also up to date on preventatives and basic vetting. Lily is available for meets starting 2/24, and we are accepting applications for her now. Please go to https://www.dogtownrescue.org/online-adoption-application to complete an online application. Story
Meet Trixie! Trixie is a 5yr old smoothcoat Dachshund with possibly a slight mix of another small breed. There’s also good reason to believe that she may not be a mix at all. Without genetic testing, Bubbas Station can’t be sure. We are sure that whatever she may be, she is an absolute darling, smart, & friendly dog just looking for a friend. Trixie spent the first several years of her life in the Lancaster puppy mills as a mill momma. The first 3-4 yrs of her life she was used as a puppy maker and milk machine. Once she stopped producing the way the “Man” wanted her to, she had to go. She then landed up for sale in a pet store. A woman bought her and took her home to her apartment where she spent the next 1-2 yrs. Trixie’s owner recently moveed and does not have accommodations for Trixie, once again leaving Trixie homeless. Bubbas Station learned about Trixie’s situation and was able to intervene, thus keeping her out of the Philly shelter. To say this pups life has been a sorted journey, is putting it mildly. As we’ve spent the last two weeks getting to know Trixie, her resilience is to be admired. She has been nothing but a joy to us and each of our volunteers. She is completely housebroken, doesn’t chew anything that was not given to her in the first place. In true Dachshund form, she has nothing but love bubbling over to share with a forever human or a forever family. Trixie being 5 to 6 years old, would be happiest in a calm home, where her humans would be around more often than not. Although we are certain that she would never harm a child, or anything at all, we feel that a home with small children would be too much for Trixie. Therefore, we are looking for a home without small children. Trixie loves all dogs! If you have a playful dog at home that you’ve been considering finding a friend for, Trixie may be a perfect addition! Trixie has shown us that she likes to have a lil privacy when she goes to the bathroom. While leashed just won’t work for her so a fenced yard is a must for her. If you have any interest in adopting, Trixie, please visit our website www.bubbastationrescue.org, click on the adopt tab to fill out an application.

Story
Cooper is an 11 month old neutered male dachshund/terrier mix who weighs about 14 lbs. Cooper and his sister, Pearl, are looking for new homes after being left behind when their owner moved. Literally, left behind! How cruel. Thankfully, a neighbor reached out for help, and they were brought to safety. Being a loved and cherished pet is a new experience for them, but they are quickly getting the hang of it. We have no doubt they'll be wonderful companions: riding happily in the backseat on the way to the next adventure, hanging out in the backyard during a family BBQ, or snuggling in on a chilly evening watching movies. They are learning how to walk on leash, where to potty appropriately, and their basic commands. Cooper is a playful boy who loves toys and tussling with his canine friends. He is sweet as pie and very eager to please his people. He's still learning his manners while playing, so older kids would be ideal. We adore this handsome little man and can't wait to find him the perfect forever home... could that be yours??Interested in adopting? *ADOPTION PENDING*Pearl is an 11 month old spayed female dachshund/terrier mix who weighs about 13 lbs. Pearl and her brother, Cooper, are looking for new homes after being left behind when their owner moved. Literally, left behind! How cruel. They are learning how to walk on leash, where to potty appropriately, and their basic commands. Pearl is a total lap dog! She loves to be held, petted, and even carries around like a baby. She is excelling with her house-training and hasn't had an accident in the house lately. She plays nicely with other dogs and loves her people! We cannot get enough of her sweetness and adorable scruffy face!! Please help us find Pearl the forever home she so desperately deserves! Interested in adopting? Hi everybody! My name is Lucky. I am a little nervous about being here because I am not as exciting as all the other doxies at DRBC and I am afraid no one will want to meet and love me. You see, I need a unique home. I need a fenced yard...I really do, because I love to run around and love to sit in the sun and tan. I am really a good boy and I have so much love to give. So if you have a little time to work with me and need some love here I am. Just fill in the application and then let's set that meet and greet date. I can hard wait. See you soon :)! I'll know you...you'll be that extra special human. Lucky is an 2 year old neutered black and tan male doxie who is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative and has been placed on the DRBC long life diet.
