Harley 2 is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish him as a family member. He is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want his transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities (listed below!). Adoptions are finalized in advance so that Harley can hop off the transport and right into your waiting arms. We stand by our pups for life—in the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Harley is never without a safety net; he will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until his perfect home is found. Meet Harley 2! 🐾 A social, sweet 1.5-year-old Chiweenie with a heart of gold. Harley 2 is a little guy with a lot of love to give! He is a charming Male Chiweenie who is just entering the prime of his life. After being surrendered to a local shelter, he’s now looking for a fresh start with a family that understands his "little dog" perspective and is ready to welcome a loyal companion. Why We Love Harley: A Friend to All Paws: Harley is quite the social butterfly and gets along well with other dogs! He’d be a great addition to a home with a resident pup to show him the ropes. To make sure he feels safe and confident, we are looking for a home with children aged 5 or older (or an adult-only household) where he can thrive in a calmer and smarter environment. His adoption includes: Fully Vetted: Harley is already neutered and up-to-date on all his essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP series, and Bordetella). Prevention: He has been dewormed, is heartworm negative, and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Safety First: To ensure he is in tip-top shape for his new family, he will be microchipped and receive a fresh fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate—all performed within 10 days of his transport date. Meet Bode!!! Bode is a 6 month old long haired mini dachshund who was born with some vision abnormalities. This handsome guy is just a bundle of fun. He loves everyone he meets… people, dogs and cats! If he isn’t playing with the other dogs or snuggling with his people you can find him playing with the cat. It is his morning ritual… find the cat and jump on her to start playtime (she is bigger than him). They are hilarious to watch because the cat typically ends up pinning him and he thanks her with some kisses, it’s the cutest thing to watch. He also loves to be outside exploring the yard. He will go from running to doing this adorable little hop as he checks out every smell in the yard. And he loves toys of all kinds… squeaky toys, crinkle toys and bones!!! Bode is doing amazing with his potty training, he is the first out the door when told potty time. He is still young and does have an occasional accident and regression is common when changing environments. He is not a fan of being crated and will bark… a lot. He does well being gated off in a puppy safe room with one of his foster siblings if his foster parent is out during the day. His foster parent checks the cameras and sees them playing or napping together. Bode is up to date on vaccines, altered, microchipped and on monthly preventatives. He also recently underwent surgery to have his micro eye removed and is now all healed up from this surgery. Bode has visual impairments with his remaining eye. His eye is always out to the side, (think lazy eye) he knows to turn his head to be able to see you. He also has a cataract in his eye which comes with its own set of complications. His cataract can cause his vision to be cloudy or blurry and in some cases can cause blindness. He’s forever family will need to consult with a veterinary ophthalmologist on what the best course of action and treatment would be. Due to his breed he will also need regular grooming to prevent matting and knots. His forever family will need to brush him regularly and make sure he is properly groomed. Because Bode has only one eye and has limited vision out the eye he does have, he relies heavily on canine cues to learn routines, build confidence, and develop healthy social behaviors. He thrives when he has another friendly dog to follow, play with, and model after. A fenced in yard is highly recommended for this little guy. He needs to learn his territory and be able to map it out and remember it so he doesn’t walk into things. Lola is a 9 year old brindle Chihuahua Daschund mix. When we first got her we did not have any children for two years and she was treated as our only child. We now have two toddlers and a newborn and the added responsibility of a dog who needs more attention than we can give her now weighs on us daily. She is a high energy dog who would love to go on walks, She would prefer to be in a more quiet home with less chaos/anxiety inducing activity going on around her. She is very anxious when in a crowd or when new people are over and the unpredictable nature of kids seems to scare her. Ideally we will find her a loving home with no children or other pets. We have all of her vet records/receipts from over the years.
