Story
Meet Lilly! Nickname: Princess Lilly Breed: Dachshund Rescue: Albert’s Dog Lounge Age: Senior Weight: 15 pounds Background: Lilly was surrendered with another dog and some kitty friends after their elderly owner went into assisted living. Foster home: Fox Point, WI Activity level: Low Friendly with: Dogs, cats, and respectful children. She is chill like that! Meals: Lilly eats 2x/day; a dollop of wet food with any meds tucked in, topped with about 1/3c of sensitive stomach kibble for small breeds Sleep style: Until her IVDD diagnosis, Lilly loved sleeping in the big bed with humans and other dogs, and easily used a long ramp to go up/down as she wished. She’s not big on being under the covers; she overheats. She will also sleep in a crate, as she’s been doing since the IVDD diagnosis and needing to keep her more still. Snore-o-meter: 1/10. Maybe a little purr now and then. Bark-o-meter: 1/10. A princess doesn't bark. It's unseemly. Shedding meter: 2/10. Just a few sparkles on your floor. Walkout song: "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" by Pat Benatar. Despite everything life has thrown at her, she keeps getting up and living her life. Favorite pattern: Hot pink! Best accessory: A tee shirt knotted 80s style. Reeboks with scrunchy socks. If she could, she would rock a side pony tail. Dream job: Peanut Butter sommelier. That's a thing, right? Best feature: her soulful eyes. They look right into your heart and steal it. Favorite season: Summer. Sunbathing would definitely be her jam. Give her some Sun-In and a bottle of baby oil (the 80s are BACK baby!) Personality: Snuggle bug, quiet, chill, sweet, easygoing Medical: Lilly’s current seizure meds are approximately $90/month. She takes 250mg Keppra 3x/day and recently added 75mg Zonisamide 2x/day. Lilly is temporarily taking Gabapentin and Carprofen to treat IVDD pain. She is very easy to dose; she will swallow pills easily in her food; she takes her Keppra easily with a dab of peanut butter. Lilly has a seizure disorder and was recently diagnosed with IVDD. She has lost almost 3 lbs since coming into rescue, and will need to keep extra weight off to help her back. She very recently had a dental, and 15 teeth were removed. She needs to strengthen her back legs/back end, so she walks with a cute twisty little swagger! Lilly will benefit from continued acupuncture and cold laser therapy for her back. Microchipped Spayed Housebroken, Lilly was left in a home with only one daily visit for food, so she is working on refining her potty habits. She will stand at the door and bark politely to go out, however she also likes to play a game of only actually going outside the third or so time you open the door! She will consistently use potty pads, especially during bad weather. Crates are perfectly fine, and a great place for a private snooze! UTD on vaccinations UTD on preventatives Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Story
So my name is Betty! I am a beautiful long hair 6 year old Dachshund. My coat is rich redish brown with tan markings. I have big soulful eyes and short little legs. My favorite thing is to snuggle on a lap. I recently arrived in foster care with Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue. I have already showed what a sweetheart I am. Betty is not fully housetrained, but she is catching on quick. She is also learning what that leash thing is and how it works. Betty gets along with the other dogs in the foster home and even the cats. My foster mom, Maggie thinks a home with people teenage and up would be best. If you are interesting in adopting Betty please put an application in at tinypawssmalldogrescue.org.

Story
Breed: Dachshund Gender: Males Available Date: June 7th, 2026 Adoption Fee: $800 (includes vaccines, microchip & future alteration surgery @ one of our partner vets) Personality Plus! Fun-loving, sweet, and absolutely bursting with character, these two beautiful boys really shine when it comes to personality! They are true puppies through and through, which means they are ready to provide you with endless hours of entertainment, goofy antics, and the absolute best puppy snuggles you could ever ask for. Their Story (And a Quick Science Lesson!) These cute little weenie dogs were surrendered by a breeder because they have a condition called Pinnal Alopecia on their ears. What does that mean? It is a strictly cosmetic hair loss on the ears. The breeder claims that the color combination of the two parents caused this outcome. Well, his loss is your gain! This minor cosmetic quirk doesn't slow them down for a second, and it just means they have a unique look to go with their stellar personalities. What These Little Guys Need Because they are just babies, they require extra care, patience, attention, and routine puppy training to help them grow into the best doggy citizens they can be. Due to their tiny stature and delicate backs, homes with small children are not recommended to ensure they stay safe and sound. Adoption Details & Medical Package The adoption fee for these boys is $800, which is a fantastic investment in their health. Their adoption package includes: Official Health Certificate Current vaccines Microchip Simparica Trio (flea, tick, and heartworm prevention) Neuter Coverage: Their neuter is fully covered at one of our approved rescue vets when they reach the appropriate age. You will be required to sign a contract agreeing to have this done. (If you prefer to use your own personal vet, we will happily reimburse you $100 after receiving proof of the alteration). How to Meet & Apply! Want to see these handsome fellas in person? They will be making their grand debut at the Buffalo Grove Pride Parade on Sunday, June 7th! Come out, say hello, and fall in love. They will be officially ready to head to their forever homes on June 7th. Don't waitget your application in today! Story
4 years old (estimated) Neutered Male  18 lbs.  Has done well with another dog  Did well meeting a cat  No known experience with kids Meet Seacole, a certified lap dog and all-around sweetheart who is happiest when he’s close to his people! This little guy has a big heart and an even bigger love for snuggling, often curling up for a cozy nap right by your side. Seacole adores stuffed animals and enjoys carrying them around or snuggling up with them like his favorite companions. He’s also highly motivated by one of his favorite treats—string cheese—which makes him even more charming. Friendly, goofy, and endlessly sweet, Seacole brings joy and warmth wherever he goes. If you’re looking for a devoted cuddle buddy who will happily keep your lap warm, Seacole is your perfect match. The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.June 5, 2026, 7:25 pm

Story
Marigold – The Sunshine Wildflower 🌻🐾 Marigold is pure warmth in puppy form—sunny, social, and wonderfully tender-hearted. She has a gentle, open way of engaging with people and a sweet presence that makes her easy to love the moment you meet her. She enjoys connection, leans into affection, and brings a soft, happy energy to every interaction. Marigold has a naturally affectionate, people-focused personality that makes her feel like a little ray of sunshine in your day. Born around December 25, 2025, Marigold is a small, mixed-breed puppy who is just beginning her journey and ready to learn what it means to be part of a home. Like all young puppies, she’ll thrive with routine, positive reinforcement, and everyday life experiences—everything from potty training to leash walking to learning new environments. This is the fun part of puppyhood: watching her gain confidence, build skills, and grow into her own personality with your guidance and encouragement. Marigold has been spayed and is up to date on age-appropriate veterinary care. Her adoption fee is $500. If you’re looking for a warm, loving puppy with a bright spirit and a big heart, Marigold is ready to light up her forever home. 🌻💛 Apply to adopt: https://www.adoptablefriends.org/adopt
