Liesl is one of eight siblings, our L-litter, who were unceremoniously dumped at a rural cemetery along with their Mom. Who can do this to a sweet family like this one? Mom looks like she is part Dalmatian, but we really are just guessing. Liesl has the most beautiful brown markings and is just a sweet playful youngster who has been at rescue for way too long. Fill out an application please and come meet her and her brothers and sisters! Story
Lula and her L siblings - LIvvie, Lexie, LIesl, Lyric and Lutz - came to us as puppies. Can you believe these beauties are still with us? They are approaching their first birthday, and we do not expect them to get much bigger than what they are right now. Lula is a calm girl, though playful of course, crate trained and gets along with all dogs, big and small. She would do great in just about any household. Our Furry Friendz are available for adoption through a screening process which includes but is not limited to: a completed application, 3 referrals, a home visit, and a vet referral prior to their furever home placement. Story
Mom and her eight babies were unceremoniously dumped at a small rural cemetery. How can anyone do this to this sweet family? Mom is super friendly and has taken great care of her babies who are all weaned and healthy children. The babies look like they will be about Mom's size, a very manageable 40-50 lbs, and of course all are cute as buttons. You can find the five girls and three boys as our "L-litter."

Story
Livvie is a teenager now, but came to Furry Friendzy as a puppy along with her Mom Lucy and siblings. We just do not understand why they have not been adopted as they are all just beautiful! Livvie is calm and friendly, crate trained, and housebroken. She is a little shy at first, but warms up quickly. She loves to play with the other "teenager" at her foster home and gets along with all the "adult" dogs as well, and even the cat. Come meet her or one of her siblings! Our Furry Friendz are available for adoption through a screening process which includes but is not limited to: a completed application, 3 referrals, a home visit, and a vet referral prior to their furever home placement. Story
Luna is a 5 year old Dalmatian/Lab mix She weighs about 50 pounds and is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on leash. She has grown up with kids and is gentle with all ages and loves to give kisses. She loves squeaky toys and snuggles and playing in the backyard to keep an eye on the squirrels! She is highly trainable and super eager to please. Luna was born deaf but was taught hand commands from age 5 months. She responds well to visual cues and is eager to learn more. Deaf dogs are just like regular dogs, you simply communicate with them a little differently! If Luna sounds like the perfect addition to your family but you are worried about her being deaf don't be! We will include sessions with our trainer for any interested family to help make the transition super easy! Luna either needs to be an only dog (as being deaf other dogs can startle her) or potentially with a calm male dog. We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

Story
Meet Skippy – the Dog-Lover’s Dog If dogs could hand out friendship bracelets, Skippy would be covered in them. This boy lives for his four-legged friends! A true social butterfly, Skippy thrives in playgroups at OHAR and is happiest when he's surrounded by canine companions. Whether it’s a game of chase, a sniff session, or just lounging in the sun with a buddy, Skippy is all in.But when it comes to humans… Skippy’s heart is a little guarded. You see, Skippy has been let down more times than we can count. His journey began at the Mesquite Animal Shelter way back in 2017. OHAR stepped in to give him a chance, but his first foster placement wasn’t the right fit. Thankfully, an experienced foster took him in and gave him the time, structure, and love he needed to blossom into the amazing pup he truly is.He found what we hoped would be his forever home in 2020, but sadly, Skippy has found himself back with us—returned because his adopters couldn't provide the guidance he still needs. The one human who has ever made Skippy feel safe was his foster mama. She saw his heart, his potential, and never gave up on him.And we won’t either.Skippy deserves more than just another stop on his journey—he deserves his person. Someone patient, experienced, and kind. Someone who understands that trust is earned, not expected. Someone who will let Skippy shine in his own time.Could that someone be you?Let’s show Skippy that forever really does exist.Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

Personality:We're pretty sure Pattie played competitive sports in her past life because she does everything at top speed and always has to win. Wrestling with other dogs? She wins! Catching that treat in midair? She wins! Learning new tricks? She wins! Is there anything this extremist can't do?!If a constantly wet ball is your thing, Pattie can spend hours playing fetch in the yard - as long as you're by her side. A true best friend, Pattie is waiting to see if you are her match. Contact OHAR to set up a home visit with Pattie!Adoption Process:After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule.
