Molly was found starving and less than a third of what her ideal weight should be. She was running around in the streets when she was caught and brought to us. Since then she has begun to put on weight and has started to learn her basic necessities for being adopted such as house training and her name. She is very eager to learn and loves people, wanting to do what she can to make anyone happy. She is very food motivated and very sweet, but still has her puppy like energy and would love to play tug or learn how to fetch. She would benefit from having another canine companion to help show and teach her the ropes. She would do well with kids, though she would be best with kids over the age of 10. She is still healing from everything she went through but Molly is a bright bundle of joy looking forward to the future. So here I was, minding my own business at the Target store.... when I was saved by a nice couple who saw me giving birth in the parking lot :( It was cold and it was scary and no one knew if i had puppies anywhere else or if my single puppy was going to live ;( It was a scary time...luckily the rescue had a foster who took me home and I proceeded to give birth to 7 more little ankle biters that day!!! And now my little puppy torpedos are almost old enough to be adopted and I am getting ready to find my real home too!! I am now fully in the POST PARTUM part of my life! My babies are all grown and OUT of the nest and I am ready for a family of my own!! (preferably one that DOESN'T shop at Target :) I have the sweetest and most loving personality. You might recognize my name from the famous character Director Nick Fury of the Marvel movies, I'm kinda like him: I love being the center of attention and don't like it when people take my stuff! I am a big dog! With my mixed Doberman Pinscher/Black Labrador genes I am a whopping 52#/lbs and have a ton of energy and muscle that needs to be worked! Because of this it would be best if I was paired with an active family who knows how to keep a dog mentally stimulated and respects my boundaries well. No apartment living for me please! No cats or small children either! My caretakers have learned some important things about me: I am a chow-hound and will try to eat anything I can get my hands on! So please leave food out of reach from me or I'll swoop it all up. Secondly, I would prefer if people didn't grab things that I have in my mouth, it's mine not yours hehe! Honey is a sweet two year old Doberman/husky mix. Sadly, her mommy has a terminal illness and has reached out to us to find Honey the perfect forever home. Honey is spayed, up-to-date on all required vaccines, HW negative and micro chipped. Honey is sweet and affectionate but a little awkward. She just needs a little bit of training to become that perfect dog. Training her mom just hasn’t been up to lately. Honey has one beautiful blue eye and the most adorable ears I’ve ever seen. She weighs about 55 pounds. She would do well with older children that wouldn't be knocked over as well as a good natured doggy sibling. Forever in Foster CareReina will be a forever foster in DRM's Program and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. Meet Reina! This girl is 7 years old and is handicapable! Reina was originally rescued from a high kill shelter by an all breed rescue. It was apparent she suffered from neurological issues, but nothing could be found on x-rays of her spine. DRM then stepped in and welcomed Reina into our program to get the help needed so she can thrive! Reina was born with a condition that caused the nerves from her back legs to brain to not map completely. Sometimes she can be a bit wobbly and sometimes she suffers from incontinence. She is on a special diet that has helped a lot with her potty issues though! Reina’s favorite activities include snuggling her humans, chewing on bones, going for walks, playdates with her friends and exploring the yard. She also LOVES to chase rabbits and squirrels! When she’s tuckered out, she’ll sunbathe looking out the window or hang out with her foster family. Reina has lived with other dogs and cats – she’s awesome with dogs but can be very curious about her feline friends. Reina is super smart and knows all the basic commands. Her recall is great (as long as she’s not scouting for bunnies or squirrels) and she is very food motivated to learn anything else you’d like to teach her.
