Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Meet PAX PAX is a GREAT dog! He is so much fun and is learning so quickly! He would do well in a dog/breed savvy home. The application can be found at: https://www.startrescue.org/adopt Contact is: colleen@startrescue.org Easy - •Crate trained - clean, quiet, and LOVES his crate at bedtime or for car rides •Kennel Run Trained - clean, quiet, non destructive. He loves to hang out and bask in the sun on his elevated dog bed and watch the world go by. •Doing very well with leash training at this point •Solid recalls •medium/high food drive •sweet and affectionate especially when he gets to know you. Loves to “lean” on his people. •athletic - would make a wonderful running, hiking, biking partner. • loves to NAP as athletic as he is he also settles in the house well and loves a movie night and a cozy dog bed. •no accidents in the house at all Medium: •Can be vocal in a new area but settles quickly •can be around farm animals and cats WITH SUPERVISION. With the right handler he won’t bother them. However with his prey drive and how he locks on to them with his eyes. I wouldn’t leave him alone with a cat to find out. •So far has been okay with dog savvy kids - again he does stare a little too intently for my liking so he’s not a dog I’d leave around young kids. •Can Coexist around other dogs well when supervised. Hard: •Needs a Doberman or working breed savvy owner. Although he’s not a hard dog for a Doberman he’s more than the average home can handle. •must have FIRM boundaries or he will walk all over someone. • no little kids •no small dogs - he gets prey locked on them too much for my liking. •no cats or prey animals in the home The application can be found at: https://www.startrescue.org/adopt Contact is: colleen@startrescue.org

Story
Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Vancouver WA. Rooster is fostered by our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Story
MEET PHOENIX! This handsome 8-year-old Dobie-Rottie mix needs a home! He was rescued from a shelter where he was a shelter favorite, and is currently in the Los Angeles area.. He weighs approx. 80 lbs. Phoenix is still an active and loving guy and will do best with an active person or people who can get him plenty of exercise. He has many positive traits - he is affectionate (he loves to give hugs once he knows you!), he walks well on a leash, and he is a very loyal and sweet dog. He will be your best friend for life . Phoenix prefers to have his person or people around, and will howl just a little if he is lonely. But he is not a barker unless its warranted. He can be a bit protective of his people and his property, and as such, he is dog-reactive on a leash. Phoenix would thrive as an only dog, or at least as an only male dog. He would be a great companion for the right person who has experience with strong breeds and who understands the mindset and loyalty of a dog like Phoenix. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M CESAR! I'm a red-and-rust 6-year-old male Doberman Pinscher, in need of a foster or forever home! I was rescued from a crowded California shelter, where I was quite underweight, at 71 lbs. But I'm slowly but surely gaining weight now, and will likely be 82 to 85 lbs. when I am back to normal! Cesar, per his name , is quite magnificent in appearance. He is also gentle and affectionate. Dobermans are often called "Velcro dogs" because they stick to their owners so closely and Cesar illustrates this idea. He wants to be around people and will be truly devoted when he has people to call his own. He is friendly with people and great with other dogs. Given his temperament, he would thrive in a home where his people work from home, or are retired and can spend a lot of quality time with him - because that's what he deserves. He would also benefit from a fenced yard or a person who is active. He still loves to run, and will make a wonderful hiking or jogging companion. Please email for an application.
