Story
Meet Moose – a 7-year-old, 100lb Doberman mix with a heart full of love and loyalty. Moose is the kind of dog who just wants to be by your side, always ready to offer quiet companionship and gentle alerting without excessive barking. He’s food-motivated, easy to train, and already knows his basic commands. He’s great on a leash, has solid recall, and doesn’t wander—even in an unfenced yard. Moose is medium energy: happy with a daily walk and even happier just being near his person. He’s potty trained, well-mannered, and wants nothing more than to be your good boy. Rehoming him is incredibly hard, but he deserves a life with more time, attention, and love than I can give right now. If you’re looking for a loyal, calm, and devoted companion, Moose is ready to be yours. I’m happy to answer any and all questions about him.

Story
MEET DARLA! Darla is a sweet and gentle 6-year-old purebred Doberman Pinscher. (Purebred verified by DNA testing). She is elegant, pretty and very affectionate -- and she gets along great with other dogs. Darla was rescued from a crowded California shelter, and now is a big favorite with volunteers, who call her a "real sweetheart". She is a well-behaved girl, but is quite strong, and will pull when she sees squirrels on a walk! Darla is in good health. She dos have a small lump on her underside, but this has been vet-checked and determined to be a benign fatty tumor, not a source of potential trouble. Darla will be totally devoted to her person. She is a gem and whomever adopts her will be very lucky. She weighs about 65 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M CARTER, a sweet, loving and strong 4-year-old Doberman/Shepherd mix with so much love to give. I love humans and being around my person or people. I was originally rescued from a California shelter and am now in a foster home! I am house-trained and crate trained (I love my crate) I love running, playing with my squeaky toys, going for walks and cuddling with humans. If you let me, I'll share your bed! I have an easygoing and funny personality, and am looking for someone to offer me a safe and comfortable home. I would do well with a fenced yard as I love to do the zoomies! I'm super smart and I learn quickly: I know the commands of "easy" (when I'm getting a treat), "stay" and I am learning to sit on command. I'm very receptive to training and am food motivated and super smart! I'm good with some dogs but not others, but I learned quickly to be with horses in a respective way. I would thrive as an only dog, only because I love attention from humans so much! I would also do well in an active, calm, family-oriented environment. I would do well with a single person, a couple or a family. I love kids, and would love to wrestle with teenagers! I can also be low energy as I love to lay around and relax, too. I have a few areas where I'm a work in progress: I can pull on a leash during walks, and be protective of the home and my people. Overall, I'm a wonderful dog with so much potential. I am a gentle giant who will thrive in a home where he’s given structure and consistent training. With lots of love and training, he will continue to improve and be an amazing companion. I weigh 68 lbs. I am currently in a foster home but may also need a new foster home soon. Please email for an application!

Story
MEET BLITZ, an 85-lb stunning Doberman male who is waiting for his forever home. Blitz is a large Dobie, almost 2 years old. He is a dark red, almost chocolate color and is magnificent in appearance. Blitz is currently in training to overcome some fears and quirks he has had in the past. He is affectionate with people he knows but in the past was tense and suspicious with strangers, especially if he is in a confined space. He can also be a bit stubborn, though his training is helping tremendously. Blitz gets along great with other dogs-- he has previously lived happily with a female Doberman in his foster home. Because of his size and strength, a home without small children is mandatory. Blitz has high energy and would benefit from having a yard, where he can run and play. Blitz is hypo-thyroid so is on inexpensive thyroid medication, which will likely be forever. We believe Blitz is of European ancestry and like all Euro-Dobies, he has heavier bones and a larger head than the more petite American Dobies. Blitz is without question a lot of dog! But he is a lot of really good dog. Doberman or large-dog experience is a must for his adoption. Please email for an application.

Story
Tyk is a handsome, sweet, friendly 9 year old red Doberman male that was saved from euthanasia at the last minute in California. The shelter staff lobbied to get him out as he is such a great dog. He is a typical Doberman in that he's a terrific watch dog and a velcro guy who loves humans. Tyk is presently in a foster home and doing well. He is house trained and crate trained. The perfect forever home for him is someone who wants a nice dog to keep them company hanging out in the yard or watching tv. He will help you cook dinner, do housework and yardwork. He does not require much exercise at all. He is very playful with other dogs but can play a bit rough. He cannot live with cats. Tyk has Wobblers Syndrome, a spinal condition that is common with large breed dogs. His symptoms are currently being treated with medication and restricted exercise and he is doing well. Basically, what Tyk needs is an adopter who will take care of him in his golden years.

Story
Phoenix is a 5-year-old Doberman-cattle dog mix, weighing in at 80 pounds. We are moving internationally soon, and taking her would be way too overwhelming for her. She'd love another playful dog; we cannot give that to her. Her Dachshund brother died a few months ago unexpectedly. She'd appreciate an active owner. She loves long walks and hikes. We go 5 miles for walks a day and 8-12 for hikes on the weekend; she doesn't need a leash for the hikes. She enjoys playing in all bodies of water, even sprinklers. Loves cats as well as other dogs with a proper introduction. She's very smart. I not sure if she would do well with kids under 8. She's well-behaved in the house, doesn't use a crate, and can be left alone in the backyard. She had double TPLO surgery a few years ago and is doing absolutely great. She has a cute howl when excited and can copy my yawn. She's a character.
