Story
This is Jason Bourne and he is a 1 year old, 48 lb dobie/pointer mix. He has a beautiful soft black and tan coat. Jason has the sweetest disposition. He is a very confident boy that loves affection from humans! It takes him some time to warm up to new people but once he does he’s all yours! Jason has a very soft mouth and will sometimes jump but it’s more of a soft jump to receive affection. He loves to have his head and belly rubbed and will lean into you for affection. Jason is great on a leash and will not pull. He will walk right next to his handler. He will pull some when meeting a new dog but will not bark. Jason gets very excited when he meets new dogs but responds to correction well and will eventually settle down. He is crate trained as far as we can tell and would do best in a home with a fenced in yard where he can run and play and get out all his zoomies! This boy has LOTS of energy! His new family will need to work with him on continued training and socialization. Especially because he becomes excited when meeting new dogs and will try to pull to get to them. He would be an excellent hiking partner since he is does so well on a leash. The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Cali really is a wonderful dog if you have the time/attention to dedicate to her. She needs daily exercise and lives for playing fetch and bringing you her toys. We recently had a baby and we dont have the same time to give to her that we used to. She deserves a home where she can play and run around much more than we are able to do for her now. She is okay around strangers in public as long as you keep her focus but has mixed reactions in private areas, notably with small kids. She is very loyal to the family (incl. baby) but not outsiders, so a house without frequent new visitors is ideal - or a home with a designated safe space during visits. She received some veteran service dog training and is quick to pick up commands when practiced regularly. If you have space, time, and will let her sleep on the bed with you (she needs snuggles), then you may be a good fit! We are heartbroken at this decision and will be vetting new homes thoroughly.

Story
Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Vancouver WA. Rooster is fostered by our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Story
MEET PHOENIX! This handsome 8-year-old Dobie-Rottie mix needs a home! He was rescued from a shelter where he was a shelter favorite, and is currently in the Los Angeles area.. He weighs approx. 80 lbs. Phoenix is still an active and loving guy and will do best with an active person or people who can get him plenty of exercise. He has many positive traits - he is affectionate (he loves to give hugs once he knows you!), he walks well on a leash, and he is a very loyal and sweet dog. He will be your best friend for life . Phoenix prefers to have his person or people around, and will howl just a little if he is lonely. But he is not a barker unless its warranted. He can be a bit protective of his people and his property, and as such, he is dog-reactive on a leash. Phoenix would thrive as an only dog, or at least as an only male dog. He would be a great companion for the right person who has experience with strong breeds and who understands the mindset and loyalty of a dog like Phoenix. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M HANNAH! I'm a 1-year-old Doberman Pinscher in need of a new home! I was rescued from a California shelter, where I was kenneled with another female dog. I do great with other dogs and I love, love, love human attention and affection. I would do best with an active single person, a couple or a family with older kids as I love to give hugs! I'm still a bit of a puppy - a little over a year old now - and would do great with someone who can take me for walks, hikes an other outings. I weigh about 53 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
Hi friends, I’m Keef! They tell me I’m a big doberman mix but my foster mom says I’m also part doofus, spaz, and maybe a little bit giraffe. I like to be sweet and have cuddles, but I also like to get outside and wander around eating grass and sniffing all the good things outside. I love to run, and I am so fast, like The Flash! But, even though I like to run around and explore, I also like to lay around and be with the family. I'm a goofball in the house, I hop up and down when it's mealtime, I get SO EXCITED! I like everyone. Even people that I’m frightened of, I still want to meet and be their friend. Sometimes, with new people, I shake a bit, but if they’re a little patient with me, and give me a second to adjust, we can be the best of friends. I’m sometimes scared of silly things, but when I get scared I don’t get mad or growly, I just look for a safe space. I don’t like when my foster mom and dad make me go in my crate because I would much rather be with them, but I am quiet in my crate, and I definitely like to have my crate available for when I feel uneasy or just want to chomp on my chewy. Even though I’m a big dude I still like all the snuggles, I’ll press my head into you when I want love. I especially love pets on my head, on my nose and around my ears. I like other dogs a lot, and I really like all the dogs in my foster home but they don’t seem to want to play with me, even though I’m always telling them how much I want to play with them. I’ve tried to get the cat to play, but she’s no fun either! I would love to find some friends to play with me. I like kids a lot, and I know I need to be more gentle with them. I can be silly sometimes, I don’t always know how to control my long legs and look kinda goofy. I know I have lots to learn about how to be a really good boy, like what things I should chew and how to be a good listener. I like food a lot, but when it comes to learning new things I don’t really care that much if you have treats. We just need to find our best way to communicate with each other. I would really love a home of my own, a family to go on adventures with and who will help me be the best me I can be!
