Story
Pork Chop was purchased from a breeder. He is a 6 month old Doberman Husky puppy. Due to unexpected health issues (owner) we have to find a new home for him. He is current on all vaccines except his rabies shot which is due in march 2026. He is still intact. Pork Chop has lived with children and is very good to them. He lets them climb on him and hug him. He is not food aggressive and has been trained to sit and stay while serving him food until you command him to eat. He is also trained not to fly into the house after being in the backyard. We have trained him to sit and stay until you command him to come in.Pork Chop has been trained to "Sit", "Stay", "Down", "Lay Down", and "Come." Due to being a puppy, continued training from an experienced dog owner is a must. Pork Chop is kennel trained with a kennel cover when we have to leave the house and going to sleep. Pork Chop's personality is playful, loving, and inteligent. He wants to be with his owners and loves people.

Story
Meet Ares, a 4-year-old Doberman who is much more of a "lover" than a "warrior!" This striking boy is incredibly sweet and social, trading the traditional tough-guy reputation for a wagging tail and a heart of gold. While he's a total pro at making new friends and has a serious passion for treats, he's still working on fine-tuning his "gentlemanly" manners and can get a bit over-excited in his enthusiasm for life. Ares is looking for a patient leader who can provide the structure and training he needs to reach his full potential. If you have a soft spot for big-hearted dogs and a pocket full of biscuits, Ares is ready to be your most loyal-if slightly unpolished-companion. 🐾🦴⚡ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 83 Age: 4yrs 0mths 0wks

Story
Reign is a stunning blue female Doberman who we rescued out of a California shelter after she had been there over a month. Reign was very neglected and underweight. We are working on showing her the good life in foster and helping her gain weight! - 45 pounds but should weigh 55 pounds - Approximately 3 years old (this is an estimate by our vet) - Adores people and has no stranger danger. She loves everyone, men, women, gentle kids. She even climbs into her foster dad's lap for cuddles. Total Velcro dog with the typical Doberman lean into you. - Good with other dogs and prefers slow introductions. She is fostered with a female Shepherd mix and her foster family did slow introductions the first few days and it's going wonderful. Both dogs are even sleeping next to each other now. Reign would do best with calmer dogs that are not dominant or very hyper. - No cats. She does seem to have a prey drive. - Great mix of energy when you want it and the ability to relax and settle into the home - Huge food drive. This may be in part to Reign's starvation state but she is very food motivated and a fast eater. A slow feeder bowl really helps her to slow down at meal times. She does need boundaries around food with people and other dogs as she tries to gobble what food she can get. Her foster family feeds her in her crate during their meal times so that she enjoys her own food while they are eating theirs. - Good with gentle kids and fostered with kids ages 7+ years old. We are recommending kids ages 7+ if there are kids in the home. - Very much loves soft beds, blankies and a cozy indoor life. She will appreciate sweaters and jackets to keep her warm during cold Oregon months. - Sleeps in her crate at night and does well with that. It can take her a couple minutes to settle but she then sleeps through the night. - Perfect potty habits in foster so far - Good on leash but does seem interested in chasing cars that pass. Her foster family is working on this tendency since they live in a high traffic area. Reign is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. $350 adoption fee Fostered in SE Portland, Oregon APPLY TO ADOPT REIGN ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
Freya is such an engaging and energetic pup! She is always ready to play and will follow you around the house, eager to join in on whatever youre doing. She is a big girl so the size of her current home is too small and low-energy. We hope she goes to a home with lots of space, engaging owners, and ample stimulation. Perhaps someone she can be a lap dog for! She has been prescribed anti-anxiety medication because of nervous behaviors such as skin picking. This seems to be clearing up as the medication starts to kick in. Overall, though, she is very friendly! She adjusts quickly to strangers, loves rowdy kids, plays with the cat, and greets everyone with a big tail wag! Freya is not a dominant dog and doesn't get aggressive. She prefers to lay down when other dogs come by to make herself smaller, as well. She just wants to fit in as your new best friend!
