Story
Reign is a stunning blue female Doberman who we rescued out of a California shelter after she had been there over a month. Reign was very neglected and underweight. We are working on showing her the good life in foster and helping her gain weight! *** Reign's adoption fee has been waived because she does have some behaviors that will be best managed by someone who knows Dobermans well or who is dog savvy. *** - 57 pounds but needs to gain another 5 pounds - Approximately 3 years old (this is an estimate by our vet) - Adores both men and women. She even climbs into her foster dad's lap for cuddles and falls asleep. Total Velcro dog with the typical Doberman lean into you. She can be reserved with strangers and may bark a few times initially. This is pretty typical Doberman behavior. She warms up quickly with treats. Be a human treat dispenser and within about 5 minutes Reign becomes friendly with new people. - Dog selective and needs slow introductions. Does best with calmer dogs who also enjoy playing. She is fostered with a female Shepherd mix and her foster family did slow introductions the first few days and now both dogs are good friends, playing and even sleeping cuddled up together. If you have a dog social dog and are willing to invest the time into a gradual introduction, Reign can live with another dog in harmony. - No cats and no small dogs. She does seem to have a prey drive. - No access to furniture for Reign. She has air snapped once at her foster mom and once at the 8 year old child in her foster home while on the couch. They have since implemented a no furniture policy for Reign and that has seemed to solve the issue. Reign did not make any contact with a person during the air snap and does not have a bite record. - Great mix of energy when you want it and the ability to relax and settle into the home when you want to have a more chill day. - Huge food drive. Her food drive makes her super fun to train though! She loves learning and is very motivated to work for you with treats. Knows sit, down and shake. - No kids, teenagers may be ok. - Very much loves soft beds, blankies and a cozy indoor life. She will appreciate sweaters and jackets to keep her warm during cold Oregon months. Dobermans have thin coats and don't generally appreciate the rain. - Sleeps in her crate at night and does well with that. It can take her a couple minutes to settle but she then sleeps through the night. - Perfect potty habits in foster so far - Good on leash but does seem interested in chasing cars that pass. Her foster family is working on this tendency since they live in a high traffic area. Reign wears a prong collar and that has helped immensely with her pulling. She can be a strong puller, but the prong collar has been a game changer for her to walk easy on leash. She can also be reactive on leash seeing other dogs at times but this has vastly improved. Reign is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. Adoption fee waived to help Reign find a home. Story
Freya is such an engaging and energetic pup! She is always ready to play and will follow you around the house, eager to join in on whatever youre doing. She is a big girl so the size of her current home is too small and low-energy. We hope she goes to a home with lots of space, engaging owners, and ample stimulation. Perhaps someone she can be a lap dog for! She has been prescribed anti-anxiety medication because of nervous behaviors such as skin picking. This seems to be clearing up as the medication starts to kick in. Overall, though, she is very friendly! She adjusts quickly to strangers, loves rowdy kids, plays with the cat, and greets everyone with a big tail wag! Freya is not a dominant dog and doesn't get aggressive. She prefers to lay down when other dogs come by to make herself smaller, as well. She just wants to fit in as your new best friend!

Story
Stella is a very petite and stunning beauty that came from a high kill shelter in California, she came to us last summer and found a home quickly but unfortunately things have changed in her current situation and now she is looking for a home again. She is young and energetic and loves other dogs she also tolerates cats but also like to chase them, unfortunately she didn’t receive much training or guidance from her current owners but she is super smart and eager to learn also she barely got any exercise and we love to find her a home better suited for a young energetic pup like her. She can be chilled and a couch potato but also needs to experience the world around her and go on adventures. Plus call us if you’re interested in adopting her. 360 2580702 ❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️

Story
Chipa is a 3 yo M blk/brn doberman foster notes   Chipa would do best with someone experienced in working dogs.  He's high energy  and needs mental & physical stimulation.  Absolutely no cats, kids or small dogs at least at this stage.  He is pretty good with size appropriate female dogs but has a rough play style and does resource guard food and some toys.  He's crate trained, doing better on leash and still learning to pay attention.  He's food motivated, sweet and silly.  Slightly suspicious of strangers and could be destructive left to his own devises.  Seems to like the water so a good candidate for swimming.  I recommend adopters get him into something like scent work, obedience and trick training. or spend time hiking or biking with him ##2574877##

Story
Meet sweet old man Tempo! He is a 10 year old gentle Dobie. He is very affectionate, mellow, easy to walk. He likes to play with toys and hang with his humans, and is fascinated by other dogs. He likely has some sort of neuro condition, as he often turns in circles, but he doesn't let it dampen his spirits... he just wants to live out his golden years with a family who is willing to see past his circling and enjoy him as the positive being that he is. If you are ready to open your heart and your home to this social soul, please ask to meet Tempo Tempo has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her for a meet and greet and see if we're a match! Check out his playgroup video below ##2580665##
