Freya is such an engaging and energetic pup! She is always ready to play and will follow you around the house, eager to join in on whatever youre doing. She is a big girl so the size of her current home is too small and low-energy. We hope she goes to a home with lots of space, engaging owners, and ample stimulation. Perhaps someone she can be a lap dog to! Lately, because of the anxiety of her living situation, she has developed a skin picking habit and she licks anything on her coat out of the fur. This makes it difficult to apply and keep oils on her skin, such as flea preventative. With attention, care, and patience, this habit does clear up. Overall, though, she is very friendly! She adjusts quickly to strangers, loves rowdy kids, plays with the cat, and greets everyone with a big tail wag! Freya is not a dominant dog and doesn't get aggressive. She prefers to lay down when other dogs come by to make herself smaller, as well. She just wants to fit in as your new best friend!

MEET DARLA! Darla is a sweet and gentle 6-year-old purebred Doberman Pinscher. (Purebred verified by DNA testing). She is elegant, pretty and very affectionate -- and she gets along great with other dogs. Darla was rescued from a crowded California shelter, and now is a big favorite with volunteers, who call her a "real sweetheart". She is a well-behaved girl, but is quite strong, and will pull when she sees squirrels on a walk! Darla is in good health. She dos have a small lump on her underside, but this has been vet-checked and determined to be a benign fatty tumor, not a source of potential trouble. Darla will be totally devoted to her person. HI - I'M CARTER, a sweet, loving and strong 4-year-old Doberman/Shepherd mix with so much love to give. I love humans and being around my person or people. I was originally rescued from a California shelter and am now in a foster home! I am house-trained and crate trained (I love my crate) I love running, playing with my squeaky toys, going for walks and cuddling with humans. If you let me, I'll share your bed! I have an easygoing and funny personality, and am looking for someone to offer me a safe and comfortable home. I would do well with a fenced yard as I love to do the zoomies! I'm super smart and I learn quickly: I know the commands of "easy" (when I'm getting a treat), "stay" and I am learning to sit on command. I'm very receptive to training and am food motivated and super smart! I'm good with some dogs but not others, but I learned quickly to be with horses in a respective way. I would thrive as an only dog, only because I love attention from humans so much! I would also do well in an active, calm, family-oriented environment. I would do well with a single person, a couple or a family. I love kids, and would love to wrestle with teenagers! I can also be low energy as I love to lay around and relax, too. I have a few areas where I'm a work in progress: I can pull on a leash during walks, and be protective of the home and my people. Overall, I'm a wonderful dog with so much potential. I am a gentle giant who will thrive in a home where he’s given structure and consistent training. With lots of love and training, he will continue to improve and be an amazing companion.
