Darla is good with most dogs, and will be totally devoted to her person. She is a gem and whomever adopts her will be very lucky. She weighs about 69 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M CARTER, a sweet, loving and strong 3- to 4-year-old Doberman/Shepherd mix. I was originally rescued from a California shelter and am now in a foster home! I'm a dream dog! I am house-trained and crate trained (I love my crate), great with other dogs, and am currently learning how to get along with horses. I love running, playing with my squeaky toys, going for walks and cuddling with humans. If you let me, I'll share your bed! I have an easygoing and funny personality, and am looking for someone to offer me a safe and comfortable home. I would do well with a fenced yard as I love to do the zoomies! I'm super smart and I learn quickly: I know the commands of "easy" (when I'm getting a treat), "stay" and I am learning to sit on command. I would thrive in an active, calm, family-oriented environment. I would do well with a single person, a couple or a family. I love kids and other dogs, and would love to wrestle with teenagers! I can also be low energy as I love to lay around and relax, too. I weight 68 lbs. I will soon be needing a new foster, too, so if you can foster or adopt me, please email for an application. I'm a great dog.

Story
Phoenix is a 5-year-old Doberman-cattle dog mix, weighing in at 80 pounds. We are moving internationally soon, and taking her would be way too overwhelming for her. She needs another playful dog to be happy; we cannot give that to her. Her Dachshund brother died a few months ago unexpectedly. She loves long walks and hikes. We go 5 miles for walks a day and 8-12 for hikes on the weekend; she doesn't need a leash for the hikes. She enjoys playing in all bodies of water, even sprinklers. Loves cats as well as other dogs with a proper introduction. She's very smart. She wouldn't do well with kids under 10. She's well-behaved in the house, doesn't use a crate, and can be left alone in the backyard. She had double TPLO surgery a few years ago and is doing great. She has a cute howl when excited and can copy my yawn. She's a character.

Story
Meet Rico! He is currently 5 months old, 25 lbs, and we think he may be a Doberman / Lab mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! We think he will be less than 50 lbs when full grown, a perfect medium size. Meet Rico, the tiny leader of the pack, with a heart full of spunk and a nose for adventure. As the most playful pup of the bunch, he's always leading the charge in games and playtime, turning every moment into a fun-filled romp. Whether he’s chasing after his siblings or bounding around with endless energy, Rico’s enthusiasm is contagious! Watch Rico's video here: https://youtu.be/fYh86J-1fOI But don’t let his fun party side fool you—after all the excitement, Rico loves nothing more than curling up with his favorite humans or snuggling with his siblings for a cozy nap. He’s got a soft spot for giving sweet puppy kisses, spreading love wherever he goes. With his playful puppy antics and affectionate nature, Rico is the perfect mix of energy and cuddles! Rico is a smart little guy too. He's already potty trained and crate trained, giving him a solid foundation for you to build on. He is dog, kid, and cat friendly, making him an easy addition to any home. He would do best in a home with a yard where he can run, play, and sunbathe to his heart's content. He is currently fostered in a loving foster home that is dedicated to setting him up for success with socialization and basic training. Apply today to add this cutie to your family! Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport.
