Story
A little bit about Primrose:Kids: Unknown history with children. All interactions should be carefully supervised by an adult.Cats/Small Animals: Unknown history with cats or small animals. All introductions should be done slowly over multiple sessions and carefully supervised.Dogs: Unknown history with other dogs. Potential for home with select other dog pending successful dog-to-dog interaction.Say hello to Primrose, a sweet, timid girl that is still learning that the world isn`t so scary! Primrose came to us as a stray, so we don`t know too much about her past, but we do know that she enjoys her treats and they have helped her be a little less scared! Primrose is sweet and kind and will warm up to you once she feels comfortable, and when she is she will let you know my always asking for attention (and butt rubs!). This sweet girl would love a home that can move at her pace and let her open up on her terms, and that can help her become more confident and trusting! With lots of time, patience and treats, Primrose is sure to be your new best friend! Come say hi today!

Story
*Luna is currently on a fur-cation to get a break from shelter. She will be returning on January 30th. Please feel free to email adopt@calgaryhumane.ca for more information!*A little bit about Luna:-Kids: Lived successfully with children when dog was under 3 months old. All interactions should be carefully supervised by an adult.-Cats/Small Animals: No cats/small animals in home, has displayed high levels of prey drive while living with cats. -Dogs: Some history of living with a dog. Potential for home with select other dog pending successful dog-to-dog interaction.Say hello to Luna, a little lady with BIG personality! Luna came to us through no fault of her own and had a bit of a rough start, as she came to us with a broken leg that needed lots of care and ultimately, kennel rest. This led Luna to become bored (as so many of us would be) and now she is wanting to explore the whole world as much as possible! Luna is a total sweetie who loves to meet and play with everyone, she just isn`t the biggest fan of cuddles or hugs and much prefers a good head and neck massage, and even loves kisses on her nose! Luna is still a puppy with lots and lots of energy and learning about the world, and puppies tend to do this with their mouth, so a family that can let her explore to burn off some of that high energy while teaching her the proper doggy manners is ideal! This sweet girl is also very vocal and uses her voice to get your attention or when something exciting is going on, so teaching her to use her inside voice would be great! Luna does have a very high prey drive towards cats, birds, and other small animals, so a home that is small animal free and can keep her on leash while outside is a must. As well, Luna has shown some separation anxiety related behaviors and will often bark, whine, and dig at the floor/door when her people have left her sight, so teaching her that being alone isn`t all that scary would be great for her. Overall, Luna is a sweet, energetic, adorable little lady that loves walks and playtime and is ready for her next big adventure!

Story
Miss Ma`am is currently on a Sleepover with her potential adoptersA bit about Miss Ma`am- unknown history with kids; all interactions should be supervised- unknown history with cats; slow, supervised introductions required- select dogs okay pending successful introductionMeet Miss Ma`am, aka the divine Miss M! A volunteer favourite, this older girl would be a perfect addition to a quiet household looking for a lower energy pup to love. Not is she fully house-trained and trustworthy when left alone, but she also has great leash manners and knows `sit`, `stay`, `lay down` and `come`. Miss M loves to make new friends, but she can be a little timid, so a bit of patience is a must as you get to know each other. Miss M may do well with your resident pets, but she`s not a huge fan of large or high energy dogs; lower key buddies are more her type. Miss M has some mild hip dysplasia that she is on pain medication for, and is also quite overweight; her new family will need to support her with a slow, controlled weight loss plan to ensure she can keep up on all your strolls for many years to come!

Story
A little bit about Winnie: - limited history with children, kids 12+ recommended due to mouthing, over-excitement, and resource guarding - no cats / small animals, high prey drive - limited history with dogs, potential for select other dog in home pending successful dog-to-dogShe`s fluffy, she`s fun, and she loves to meet everyone, it`s Winnie the oh-so-loveable and friendly pup! She lives by the motto `every stranger is a friend she hasn`t met yet` and her cute face is sure to draw lots of attention! But because Winnie get`s so excited when meeting people, she can get a little jumpy and mouthy which is why her new family should be prepared to help her learn proper puppy manners.Speaking of family, Winnie would do best in an active, busy home with older kids that have a strong understanding of dog body language and can recognize when Winnie is getting too amped up! She`d be a great fit for those with an active lifestyle that can offer her plenty of enrichment, playtime, and toys (she loves to play tug!) to keep her puppy brain busy. Winnie is also very food motivated and smart so just imagine all of the cool tricks you can teach her! Due to her high prey drive, Winnie will require a home with no cats or small animals but may do well with an equally active doggy friend. Just be sure to manage meal times and treats because Winnie doesn`t like to share her food!Puppies can be a lot of work but when Winnie is snuggled up by your side or joining you on your next adventure, it will make it all so worth it! Come meet Winnie today and leave with your new best friend!

Story
**Joaquin is a Patient Paw, please ask about their reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!**To set Joaquin and his new family up for success, he will also receive two free post adoption consults and a free session of `No-Pull Pups!`A little about Joaquin:- kids unknown- cats / small animals unknown- limited history with other dogs, potential for select other dog following successful dog-to-dogIf you`re looking for a little extra motivation to get outside and enjoy winter, look no further than Joaquin! Our big, goofy boy`s delightful snow-based antics are guaranteed to lift your mood, and his famously cuddly personality means you`ll never feel lonely again! Joaquin also enjoys making joyful music with the assistance of his squeaky toys, and working on his agility skills. Because Joaquin is a big, bouncy exuberant dog who doesn`t know his own size, he may be overwhelming for smaller kids, or brand new dog owners. He`s still learning how to channel his energy and will do best in a home that can redirect him consistently and provide him with lots of exercise and mental engagement. He`s already house-trained and has some basic manners like sit, he just needs a little extra direction. Having lived with other dogs before, there`s a chance that Joaquin may do well with another dog in the home following a successful dog-to-dog! It will also be important that Joaquin`s family is prepared to feed him a hypoallergenic diet as he is prone to skin issues. So what are you waiting for? Come say hello to Joaquin today!
