Story
Bolt is available through our `Adopt From a Foster Home` program. If you are interested in scheduling a meeting, please fill out the request form here: Adopt From Foster Form. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as he is not available to meet on site.Bolt is a big personality in a very handsome package! This energetic, toy-loving guy is always ready for action, whether that means a spirited game of tug, chasing toys around the house, or showing off his adorable vocal “commentary” while he plays. He’s incredibly affectionate with the people he trusts and absolutely loves snuggling up for cuddles and brushing sessions after a busy day.In the home, Bolt has shown himself to be quite content and has settled nicely with his foster family. He has done well being left alone for short periods and enjoys spending time close to his people. He’s smart, knows his name, has great recall, and forms strong bonds with the humans in his circle.Bolt would benefit from a family that can provide him lots of structure and understanding as he navigates his new life! A family that can help him direct his excitable energy into appropriate channels and help him learn his best leash manners would be ideal!Bolt is also a dog who will need understanding, structure, and ongoing support from his future family. He is a very high-energy dog who can become easily overstimulated, especially around toys and during exciting situations. Sometimes his enthusiasm can come across as intimidating — he may bark loudly, jump up, or become very fixated on toys during play. His foster family found that calm voices, slow movements, and clear boundaries helped him settle and make better choices.Bolt is looking for an active, experienced home that will embrace both his lovable quirks and his challenges. With the right people beside him, this playful, snuggly, larger-than-life dog has so much potential to shine.A little bit about Bolt: - Kids: Can live with older kids, preferably 10 years and older! All interactions must be actively supervised by an adult.- Cats/Small Animals: No history with cats or small animals. All introductions should be done slowly over a period of time and heavily supervised.- Dogs: Potential for another medium/large dog, pending a successful dog-to-dog interaction.

Story
Layla is a striking, sensitive dog who is beginning her journey toward understanding what life in a home can look like. She is currently looking for a very patient, experienced adopter who can help her continue building confidence at her own pace.In the shelter environment, Layla has shown that she can be cautious and slow to warm up to new people and situations. She has had moments where she prefers space and needs time to process what is happening around her, especially in busy or unfamiliar settings. At times, when feeling overwhelmed, she may communicate her discomfort through clear body language and a need for distance.Once given the opportunity to move at her own speed, Layla has shown that she can engage with her environment and explore more comfortably, especially when she feels safe and unpressured. Her behaviour suggests a dog who is still learning how to navigate social interaction and trust in new settings.Layla will do best in a calm, adult-only home that understands canine body language. She is not suited for a home with other dogs or cats at this time, and a quieter environment outside of busy urban settings may help set her up for success. While Layla is still a work in progress, she has the potential to grow with the right support, structure, and understanding. For someone experienced and compassionate, she offers the opportunity to help a dog truly learn that the world can be a safe place.A little bit about Layla:-Kids: No experience with children. Recommend an adult only home.-Cats/Small Animals: No experience with cats or small animals. Recommend no cats or small animals in the home.-Dogs: Limited exposure to other dogs. Recommend only dog in the home.

Story
Meet Braunnie, a lovable Golden Retriever with a big heart, a goofy streak, and enough full-body wiggles to brighten anyone`s day! This handsome guy absolutely adores people and loves being part of the action. Whether he`s greeting friends, heading out for a walk, or proudly carrying around one of his favourite toys, Braunnie approaches life with enthusiasm. He`s happiest when he has something to hold in his mouth, and you`ll often find him proudly showing off a stuffed toy as he follows his people around.Braunnie is an affectionate and social dog who enjoys spending time with his humans, but like many dogs, he can become overwhelmed when he`s excited or stressed. When big feelings take over, he may try to grab clothing or hold onto sleeves as a coping mechanism. His new family should be prepared to continue helping him learn more appropriate ways to manage his excitement! Before coming into our care, Braunnie lived with another large breed dog, however, his interactions with this dog were not always positive. Braunnie has also displayed dog reactivity in shelter and on walks. We would be happy to try an introduction with any resident dogs here, though! He has not lived with cats before and any children in the home should be at least 13. Braunnie is looking for a patient, understanding home that will celebrate his progress, appreciate his quirky personality, and help him continue building confidence. In return, you`ll get a loyal companion who will greet you every day like you`re the best thing that`s ever happened to him.A little bit about Braunnie:- Kids: 13+ due to excitement levels.- Cats/Small Animals: Never met cats. All introductions should be done slowly and all interactions supervised- Dogs: Previously lived and came in with large breed dog. Potential for another dog in home with successful dog-to-dog interaction.

Eva is available through our `Adopt From a Foster Home` program. If you are interested in scheduling a meeting, please fill out the request form here: Adopt From Foster Form. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as she is not available to meet on site.Meet one of the sweetest pups - Eva! Eva is an exceptionally snuggly lady, never happier than when she`s cuddled up on the couch with her humans! She gives LOTS of kisses, so be prepared for a face wash if you`re giving her some lovin`. She greets her people with a wiggly body and wagging tail (which sometimes feels more like a whip!). But watch out for her mischievous side - Eva likes to use her big nose to sniff out snacks! She also has the tendency to chase small animals on walks, but quickly gives up when she realizes it`s a lost cause. She absolutely loves her daily walks and will never turn down a game of fetch! Not much is known about Eva`s past, so we`re hoping to find a home that can be patient while she settles, offer lots of opportunities for cuddles, walks, and playtime, and keep building Eva`s confidence around absences. Her foster family has noticed some nervousness around men, so any male-presenting friends or family members should be prepared with a little extra patience. This delightful dog and her happy smile will bring a smile to your own face! Reach out to meet Eva today!A bit about Eva:- unknown history with children; all interactions should be supervised- unknown history with cats; slow, supervised introductions required- unknown history with dogs; okay pending successful introduction- may require slow introduction to absences
