Story
Jo Jo is a 3 year old Cane Corso. May have some black lab, she loves water. She is very friendly, loves to play with people and other dogs. Very sweet, but needs to be with her human. Will chase, but just needs more training and consistency. She would be an excellent choice for a sweet and fun companion. Definitely can be single owner or a family environment. Her "little brother" is Boss, who is also listed on this site. Would be great to keep them together, but not required.

Story
Boss is a big teddy bear, although his looks might make a stranger think otherwise lol. Boss has great personality, and is probably the best dog I've ever had. He loves to play with people and other dogs. He's still not aware of how big he is at 2, which is about 135-140 lbs. Boss would benefit from some good obedience training. Boss wants nothing more than the companionship you're looking for.

Story
Brownie is looking for a safe and loving forever home she is A 2 year old pit-bull mix lab as I was told she loved toys and treats! She is a picky eater, brownie loves walks but freaks out when other dogs bark at her. Brownie loves baths, Brownie is NOT neutered so please be careful with other dogs she is a rough player with other dogs. I’m not 100% sure how she is with other cats I only have 1 and she never had a problem with the 1 cat we have. She never had a problem with the family kids Brownie does need some training as she is becoming a bit a biter and I also notice she not really a fan of of strangers I want brownie to be in a loving home and taken care of and I hope she finds a family that will give her the love as I would. She is potty trained and knows when she should go potty she always loves to cuddle and sleeps inside the house.

Story
Boston is a full bred miniature pinscher and a great little guy who loves his humans and wants to sit in a lap whenever possible. Found as a stray in SLO county this little guy ended up at the bottom of the list of wanted dogs when the shelter filled up and his age did him in, 12 is a guess but Boston is full of nice energy and may be younger. He is really cute. Great with dogs and cats and house trained. He makes funny sounds and is pretty talkative. Really cute in real life and rather a character. Funny little guy who has been here a long time now.

Story
Please read the last two sentences before proceeding. This little guy was found in the Avenal area then transferred to Corcoran then scooped up by a local humane society. But Russo wasn't loving a kennel environ so he came here. He is shy and fearful but not aggressive and loves the company of other animals. He seems to thrive in a pack. He will come for treats and will approach to say hello and ever day seems to warm up more and more. He is now allowing petting. We think he has great potential for a patient adopter who will let him see how great being a people dog can be. He is a youngster at about two years old. And CUTE as a button! Great size too, He will take patience but will be so worth the time. He should not be an only dog. Russo needs a playmate or two. he plays great with dogs and that is his comfort zone. Right now we deem him feral and not ready for a home. It might be a huge set back, catching him will take a lot currently..

Story
Dana came to us from King's County Shelter because she had won the hearts of the staff. She is blind, but can hear well and gets around great. Dana is shy and will nip before she knows you, but is happy to take treats, and affectionate once she warms up. Make sure you watch the video that came from the shelter; it is behavior we have seen at the rescue as well. Dana is incredibly confident and intelligent and cool looking with a long strip of fur down her spine. She stands to come out of her turtle shell and make someone a most interesting pet. I wish someone special with dog savvy would step up for her. I would love reports of her finally trusting totally. She dances and twirls when she hears familiar voices. SMART sad dog! What fun Dana will be... You wont trip over Dana...she is brighter than most people..
