Story
Molly was born on September 11, 2024. We adopted her from a family in Clovis, CA. when she was 12 weeks old. Molly is sweet, and very playful. Molly has been spayed by Woods in Atascadero, CA. We are looking for a loving family for Molly, she needs more attention than we are able to give to her as we both have demanding full-time jobs. Molly would be wonderful with children, she loves to play and would be ideal for a family who has time to dedicate to her, walks, runs, etc. Molly is very smart she can sit on demand.

Story
Io has been our family dog for the last 7 years. He is incredibly affectionate and cuddly. He weighs in at 27 pounds and is 3/4 Boston Terrier and 1/4 Boxer. We have papers for him, as we adopted him when he was one. We have taken Io on many camping, hiking and family adventures. He is agile and loves to be active, yet still is happy to cuddle with you if you want a lazy day. One year ago we adopted another puppy for our 10 year old son. That puppy is now 68 pounds. The two dogs get along 99% of the time, however Io has started to resource guard and has attacked the larger dog over something simple (like a dropped chip). The larger dog defends himself, and Io has sustained injuries as a result. We have spent a lot of time with a trainer to try to get both to cohabitate, but the reality is, it’s safer for both boys to be in separate homes. Io would do best in a home where he was the only dog, or a home with a dog that is his same size. He has cohabitated with other dogs in the past.

Story
This is Birdie. She is incredibly smart, thoughtful, and has a good drive for learning — not a high-energy dog, but one who truly benefits from regular exercise, structure, and mental stimulation. She would be an excellent match for someone who enjoys training and engaging with their dog beyond the basics. Birdie’s previous owner unfortunately wasn’t able to put in the consistent time she needed, and due to current life circumstances, I haven’t been able to fully give her the outlet she deserves. I want to find her a home where she can truly thrive. A few important things to know about Birdie: • 🧠 Very intelligent and eager to learn • ⚡ Moderate energy with a solid working drive when engaged • 🐕 Some dog reactivity, which I genuinely believe could improve greatly with proper exercise, structure, and consistent handling • 🐱 Loves cats • 💕 Loyal, affectionate, and people-oriented • 📏 Big girl weighing approximately 90 lbs • ✂️ Spayed female, 4 years old (turned 4 in September)

Story
Cattle Dog mix, maleMeet Rodney!  He came from King’s County along wi3th two other pups. Rodney is around 1 year old, a cattle dog mix.  He is a small/medium sized guy at 35 lbs.   Rodney is very submissive and nice.  He’s sweet and wants to give paw.  He is cautious but great with the entire pack.  He's a combination of respectful and no nonsense! Completely appropriate, he defers to the dogs already here, and gently tells other dogs to step off if they try to steal Rodney's cow hoof!   Check out this beautiful young guy. Dog social. Respectful of everyone! Rodney is a pleasure here. Easy keeper! Rodney is neutered, chipped, and up to date on vaccinations.  Rodney is in Templeton, CA. Story
Australian Shepherd mix, femaleWelcome Molly! Her beauty is unmatched and her spirit even lovelier. She doesn’t know a stranger and touch is her love language. Her fosters have taken some time to get to know her and here is what they have to report:Molly is 100% sweetheart. She loves her people to the Nth degree. Scratch that, she loves ALL people to the Nth degree. Arguably maybe too much sometimes. If you get down on the ground, you will have a dog right up in your face, and if you're not careful you're tripping on her. She's moderately treat motivated, but 100% affection motivated when it comes to training. She responds really well to gentle correction. She's 1.5 years old and 50lbs but she acts like a big puppy. She's a little ornery, and very bouncy and goofy. She’s working on leash and house manners and picking things up quickly. She’s bunked up with a few cats and the verdict is still out there as to whether or not we can say she’s bombproof with them. Doesn’t chase the indoor cat but outdoors it’s game on and by that we think she’s just trying to play. She curious and cautious around livestock and managed to be quite helpful to her foster dad in rounding up a stray cow. Molly is looking for an active, training forward home with another young (or young at heart) dog to show her the ropes. She’ll need more than leash walks to remain fulfilled. She is people, dog, and dog-savvy cat social. Housebroken. All around good girl who is still very bouncy, free spirited, and puppy-like.Molly is located in Templeton, CA. She is microchipped, spayed, and UTD on vaccines. She appears to be an Australian shepherd mix. Story
Aussie mix, femaleChica is a 4-yr old, 59 lbs. Aussie mix, probably with German Shepherd. She came in from Kern County. No room there for a big girl.  She's absolutely lovely with my dogs. And went without saying, she's very respectful of people. Gentle too. Doesn't jump, very nice on leash.  Chica needed some exercise and attention.  She's got a routine. She knows where she's eating, sleeping, walking. She hasn’t been on an off leash walk yet, but you can tell it's imminent. It's just that she didn't know this name. But she sees the whistle brings everyone. So we're doing long line recall with the whistle on our walks. She's doing great!  Chica is spayed, chipped, and up to date on vaccines. Chica is in Templeton. More photos and updates:  https://www.facebook.com/www.cchdrescue.org/  search in posts and photo albums.
