Hi! Im Opie. Like Opie Taylor from the Andy Griffith show! I am roughly 13-14 years old and my family is going through some pretty tough times. Its not their fault. And the new home mom and dad can afford after those hard times cant except me..they are very very sad about it. I was fought over in a divorce and kept from my dad for almost a year. And I was not treated right and neglected. Dad finally got me back fixed me up the best he could, but sadly he cant afford it anymore. Dad had me since I was 2-3 and he rescued me from a bad situation. And hes been the best..but sadly I am allergic to fleas and dad cant afford my meds. I am a little itchy and have hair loss on my rear. I am very loving cuddly and I am a certified emotional support animal. For anxiety and heart rate. I stay by your side until you are okay. I sleep on the bed for cuddles and I will cuddle your kids to no end! Mom makes the best snacks and sneaks me some. I love riding on boats and in the car. I love to sleep.

Riley is absolutely the best dog I've ever known! He is about 3 years old, is totally house broken, a good watch dog, is good with cats and chickens and is very obedient. There is nothing bad I can say about him. However, a recent change in family dynamics has caused a problem; Riley was my husbands dog and my dog Maggie has become extremely jealous. I have to keep them separated now; it breaks my heart because they used to be playmates, Riley needs a home where no one will be jealous and appreciate him for the wonderful boy he is. I would love to see him go to a home where he can be Alpha!! , , , he certainly deserves it. I will refund your money if you don't fall in love with Riley!!!

Hi, I’m Polly, a 4 yr old, 34 lb BEAUTIFUL English Cocker! I’m a happy, wiggly girl who’s had quite a journey, but I’m loving life in my foster home. I came into rescue after my previous owner could no longer care for me. I’m deaf and have a cute little head tilt from a couple of snake bites in my past, but none of that slows me down—I’m too busy enjoying every moment. Here’s what I love most: I really enjoy chewing on bones, sprinting around with toys (and okay… sometimes destroying them), and playing with my foster brother. I’m also a world-class snuggler and love giving kisses. I don’t bark much—only when I’m super excited about food or when I’m left alone and worried. I have a bit of separation anxiety, but I do great in my kennel when my people leave the house. I’m a smart cookie! I know how to lay down and how to “place,” and I listen with my eyes and body since I can’t hear. I wear a special vibrating collar that helps get my attention on walks, but honestly, I’m already great on a leash and I love going for walks. I have been going through personalized training with my foster mom and I’ve picked it all up quickly. Outside, I like to stay close to my people—being near them makes me feel safe and happy. A few quirks to know: I do get a little protective of my food or toys around other animals—I might give a growl if they get too close but I won't snap at them. I’ve never shown this behavior toward humans, and I’m easily redirected. Overall, I’m a sweet, joyful girl who loves life, loves people, and gets along with everyone, other dogs and cats included. I’m just looking for a family who will love me back, keep helping me feel secure, and let me be the silly, snuggly, wonderful dog I am. I am up to date on my vaccinations, Heartworm tested and on monthly flea and Heartworm protection, microchipped and spayed. Adoption fee is $400. **Please apply to adopt at www.saveourcockerspaniels.org** SOCKS adopts to families in Florida, Georgia, Southern Alabama, and southeastern Mississippi. If you are out of the state of Florida, you would need to travel to Florida to complete your adoption. Please note that we do check vet references, and your current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing, and be able to provide proof of purchase of heartworm prevention. All dogs and cats in your home must be spayed or neutered. We will not set up a meet and greet until your application has been received, reviewed, and approved. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first served basis. We will accept applications and then screen all and choose the best match. Only approved applicants will be contacted.

Sweet Tart has been here a long time and is ready to mingle for a home of her own! Sweet Tart was found at one of our board members job sites with her leg basically blown out the back. It looked TERRIBLE. We brought her to the vet where they immediately agreed she needed her leg amputated. She had her surgery and recovered beautifully! She was fostered by Kaitlyn for a few months and she did fantastic with her two German shepherds. She does have prey drive given her breed so a home with no smaller animals is a must. She does well with the cats through the crates, but accidents do happen and you can’t train out genetics. This girl has really bad storm anxiety. If she’s out with you, she’ll just be up your butt. She loves to snuggle in bed. If she’s in her crate, she can destroy a normal crate in minutes. She will come with her high anxiety crate if you’d like it. She plays well with the dogs here. She is a bit more dominant with her play style but she’s never gotten into a fight and has been in groups with several of the dogs here. She is very energetic and so a home with no young children would be best. She weighs probably 60-70lbs. She’s a little on the heavy side, she’s currently on a diet to make sure she doesn’t get too big since she does only have 3 legs keeping her in shape is vital. A fenced yard is required as she loves to run and play! She does well on a leash. Pork has been with us for a few years now and has had no adoption interest! She’s a chunky lil girl that is full of energy! She does well with other dogs her size but has not been around smaller dogs. She likes loving on the cats through the crates but has not been out with them. Pork was found running on highway 19 during a terrible thunderstorm. She had a skin infection and looked terrible. Thankfully she healed up nicely with some bravecto and medicated baths! She was HW+ and went through fast kill treatment. She has been on ivermectin monthly since. This girl needs a place to call her own. A home with no small children because she is a missile of energy! She would thrive in a home with another dog around her size that likes to play. A fenced yard is a must.
