Story
Our family adopted Bently right as a puppy, and raised him on a bigger piece of property with plenty of yard to run, play and chase toys. He’s now all grown up and has been an outdoor puppy his entire life, living in a big pen with a house. We currently have moved to a new house with a smaller yard, so his daily life went from a big yard to run freely and be a farm dog to now walks on a leash with limited run time. He is an outdoor and yard/farm dog through and through, and loves to be with people, play with kids, carry a toy around, and lay around his favorite spaces!! He’s super good with all people, kids, other pets, and has never aggressively attacked or bitten anyone. We’re looking for new owners who are interested in a outdoor dog to run around, play, bark, and enjoy his life :)

Story
Bear is a great loving dog! He is about a year and a half old and was very bonded with my husband, whom unfortunately passed away about a month a ago. Bear has been doing ok with him my being here but I feel like he would thrive a lot better in a home that has a yard for him to run around in and he loves playing with my 4 year old grandson, he also is a very good brother to my 6 year old golden retriever, which if I found the right home I would be willing to let them both go, if it meant they would have more room to be dogs then what I have for them. My husband did most of the taking care of both dogs and I still currently work 2 jobs and just feel like I'm not giving them all they need. Please let me know if you are interested in Bear and we can talk about his brother jojo too if you are interested, he is very laid back.

Story
Violet is roughly one year old. We rescued her when she was about 3 months old from a parent that neglected her. She is high energy, loves to play, and she is a lover when she calms down. As a couple, we struggle to get her to settle at most points of the day. She does well if only one of us is present with her, so we believe she is better suited with one parent. She gets anxious in vehicles so we have not been able to socialize her much, but she has had some playdates with another dog in our family and a dog of one of our friends, and she does well in those interactions. She loves to snuggle and we love her so much, but we feel that we are not a great match. We hope to find a loving home where she can live her best life.

Story
Suzzie—also known as Suzzie Q, Suzzie Doo, Suzzers, and a dozen other nicknames—is a sweet, affectionate girl who is happiest curled up beside her person. She is a 7 year old English Cocker Spaniel. When she first arrived, she was very shy and unsure of everything around her. She’s come a long way since then, though she can still be a little sensitive to sudden movements. With patience and gentle reassurance, her loving personality really shines through. She’s highly motivated by snacks (food is her first love) and absolutely adores pets, especially ear scratches. Most of her day is spent snoozing, but the moment she senses activity she’s right there, hopeful for a treat or some attention. Suzzie knows “no” very well and is polite around doorways, often pausing and waiting for permission before going through. She’s mostly learned “sit,” and is currently working on “wait.” Mealtime is her favorite event of the day—she gets so excited that she’ll eagerly headbutt your legs as you carry her bowl, then dash into her crate to wait for it. Because she eats quickly, a slow feeder is a big help. She has bursts of playful energy and loves zooming around the backyard, though she’s still getting used to her collar and leash. (She’s making progress!) Her crate is her safe space—she relaxes there during the workday with a midday break, runs to it when she feels unsure, and sleeps through the night without accidents. Just be aware: if her crate isn’t covered, she may greet the sunrise with a chorus of howls! She’s also enjoyed a few successful sleepovers in the big bed on weekends. Suzzie is great with other dogs but cats are unknown. She is also great with children over the age of 8. All in all, Suzzie is a true gem—gentle, loving, and full of heart. She’s ready to bring so much warmth and joy to the lucky person who welcomes her home. Suzzie is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, Heartworm tested and on monthly Heartworm and Flea Prevention. If interested in adopting Suzzie submit an application at Saveourcockerspaniels.org. Her adoption fee is $350. **Please apply to adopt at www.saveourcockerspaniels.org** SOCKS adopts to families in Florida, Georgia, Southern Alabama, and southeastern Mississippi. If you are out of the state of Florida, you would need to travel to Florida to complete your adoption. Please note that we do check vet references, and your current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing, and be able to provide proof of purchase of heartworm prevention. All dogs and cats in your home must be spayed or neutered. We will not set up a meet and greet until your application has been received, reviewed, and approved.  Adoptions are not done on a first come, first served basis. We will accept applications and then screen all and choose the best match. Only approved applicants will be contacted.

Story
Pork has been with us for a few years now and has had no adoption interest! She’s a chunky lil girl that is full of energy! She does well with other dogs her size but has not been around smaller dogs. She likes loving on the cats through the crates but has not been out with them. Pork was found running on highway 19 during a terrible thunderstorm. She had a skin infection and looked terrible. Thankfully she healed up nicely with some bravecto and medicated baths! She was HW+ and went through fast kill treatment. She has been on ivermectin monthly since. This girl needs a place to call her own. A home with no small children because she is a missile of energy! She would thrive in a home with another dog around her size that likes to play. A fenced yard is a must. If you think Pork would be a good fit for your home, please shoot us a message so we can get you our dog application! Located in lake city FL
