Story
Cooper is approx. 35lbs, 18 inches tall and 28 inches long. He was born on September 23rd 2024 to a stray Red Tick Beagle. Since then he has had a rough life in this short time. I gave 3 of the pups to someone that I thought would be a good home but it did not work out (So don't mind if I am very nosey and ask many questions of you). During the day he loves to play catch with us and keep away with our golden retriever. He is definitely NOT an outside kept beagle. In the evenings he loves to cuddle on the couch while watching TV with us. He has his own bed that he sleeps in at night. He LOVES walks. All you have to do is get his leash and he is ready to go. Cooper rides in the car great. He has had Cytopoint injections for his allergies. He is quite active so he must have an active household. A fenced in yard would be a great idea for Cooper. He spends a lot of time just laying outside or chewing on a bone. Sometimes he can be very independent other times cuddly. He is ready 4 LOVE!

Story
Moana came into my life after being found alone, pregnant. We took her in and fostered her through APL which is a local shelter. After she had her puppies, they got transported and adopted out. Moana was left behind. After this the rescue was being investigated for illegally dumping dead dogs' bodies. So naturally I reached out to the other rescue I fostered for, LPC. LPC stepped up, got her microchipped, UTD on shots, provided food etc. Last year (2025) I thought I was moving, so as a responsible person I notified the rescue of this and after finding out I wasn't moving I also informed them of this. They then took Moana off their site and noted her as adopted when she was in fact not. Moana is estimated to be around 4 y/o. She is spayed and UTD on shots. She does NOT know a stranger. She has been known to be female dog selective but, in the past, has co-existed with 4 different female dogs. She is cat friendly, potty trained, and crate trained. She is ready to be your couch potato!

Story
Rocky is a wonderful companion whom we've had since a pup. He's had the freedom to roam our 200 acre farm for his entire life, but we have now relocated and having difficulty with him fitting into our new location and lifestyle. He's been a wonderful faithful companion and would make anyone a great friend. He gets along with others well and loves to play - fetch is his preferred activity. He's been loving daily walks, but ultimately longs to be outside.

Story
Ellie is a very loving companion who we've had since a pup. She is very typical of the breed in that she ALWAYS wants to be the center of attention and be near her master. We feel her best fit would be with a person who has experience with Shepherds, and potentially as their sole pet. We have relocated from our farm where she was used to having 200 acres to roam and protect and we are having difficulty dealing with her in our new surroundings. While she will tie well for short periods she does not like to be in a pen, but a fenced in yard may work.

Teller is 55 lbs and approximately 3 years old. Teller was abandoned at a property when the property was sold. The new owner found them in a small pen and contacted SPCHS for help. Teller is afraid of cats, and is dog and people friendly. Crate trained. Likes to be near his human. Loves attention and is just trying to learn how to enjoy his life.

Story
Sammy came to us after rescue by the local Sheriff's Department. Sammy was chained up 24/7 and the chain was so embedded in his neck it caused a very deep gash that took extensive surgery to correct. He was so starved he weighed less than half what he should weigh. The prior owners are in jail. Sammy has come a long way, but from the moment of rescue, has been the happiest of dogs. He's in a stage of arrested puppy time, making up for all those months/years chained without freedom to run. His wound has recovered and he is now neutered. He is still learning to EAT SLOWLY as he was so hungry that he wants to wolf down all food. We feed him in aKONG so he has to work to get it out. He needs a home with safety, and lots and lots of exercise. He is NOT cats tested and is quite strong so will need care. He will always need to be walke with a HARNESS in order to protect his neck. He is such fun though, any home will be fortunate to add him as a companion.
