Story
Blue is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd, about 20 lbs, with the prettiest blue eyes that inspired his name. He's gentle, affectionate, and full of personality. I bought him as a puppy from a breeder, and he's been loved and well cared for ever since. Blue is crate-trained, knows several commands, and graduated two training classes. He's great in the car, enjoys long drives, and has done well at dog daycare and overnight boarding. He's a bit shy at first, then becomes a sweet, loyal shadow who loves walks, playtime, and quiet evenings by your side. His white Tuxedo chest, little smile that shows one tooth when he relaxes, love of sunbathing, and excitement nibbling at snow make him truly one of a kind. I'm moving overseas and sadly can't bring him, so I'm looking for someone who'll cherish his loving nature and give him a forever home where he'll be safe, happy, and adored.

The new owner found them in a small pen and contacted SPCHS for help. Teller is afraid of cats, and is dog and people friendly. Crate trained. Likes to be near his human. Loves attention and is just trying to learn how to enjoy his life.

Story
🐾 Meet BALBOA 🐾 Small in size, big in spirit — and a true survivor. Balboa’s story could have ended far too soon. He was near the top of of the euthanasia list at the shelter — simply because he’d been there too long, and because he’s a pit bull puppy in an overcrowded system. But when we came to rescue another dog, we couldn’t leave this sweet face behind. Now safe in foster care, Balboa is proving just how much love and life he has to give. At just 6 months old and around 25 pounds, he’s still growing — but already has a huge heart. 🐶 What makes Balboa so awesome? 💫 Happy, playful, and full of joy 🐕 Great with other dogs 🐱 Respectful of cats 🧸 Loves toys, people, and attention 🩺 Vetting scheduled soon — he’ll be fully up to date! Despite what he’s been through, Balboa is resilient, affectionate, and eager to belong. He would love a home where he can run, play, and curl up next to someone who sees beyond the label and recognizes the treasure that he is. This little underdog already beat the odds — now he’s just waiting to win your heart. 🧡 📩 Apply to meet Balboa and let his next chapter begin with you!

Story
Meet River! 🌊🐾 River’s story is one of true resilience. He was rescued from a horrible, overgrown pen with only green water and no food. At intake, he weighed just 18 pounds. Now, after love and care, he’s up to 25 pounds and thriving! The vet estimates he’ll top out around 30 pounds once fully grown. This sweet boy is under a year old and has made a remarkable recovery. He can be a little shy when meeting new faces, but once he knows you, he loves, loves, loves his people! He’s affectionate, playful, and so ready for the next chapter in his life—whether that’s foster or adoption. River is leash-trained and house-trained. He enjoys attention and isn’t shy about letting you know if he feels ignored. Boarding at the vet hospital has helped him heal, but he’s getting restless and truly needs a home of his own. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with a gentle heart and a survivor’s spirit, River may be the perfect match for you!

Mya was rescued from a kill shelter with her sister Mia after far too long in that situation. They were adopted once but returned due to changed family circumstances. The girls are wonderful sweet dogs, a little curious about cats but not aggressive. Mya follows her foster Mom like a shadow and would make a wonderful companion.
