Story
Ellie is a 5ish year old, little (at about 17lbs) female Golden mix being surrendered to GRRAND due to a change in living circumstances with her family. They tell GRRAND: "Ellie is a loving, friendly dog who has been a wonderful companion to our family. Unfortunately, due to changes in our living situation and resources, I am no longer able to provide the space, structure, and care that she deserves long-term. This decision has been difficult, but I want her to have the opportunity to be placed in a home that can better meet her needs and give her the attention and stability she deserves." We have also been told: "Ellie is house trained and can be trusted to roam freely in the home. She is leash trained and enjoys being around people. She does not do well in a crate and will bark when confined, so she has not been regularly crated. She responds to basic commands but has not had formal training. Overall, she has a friendly temperament and adjusts well to family environments. Ellie is affectionate, enjoys being near her people, and does well with children. She would likely do best in a home where she can receive regular exercise and attention. She has moderate energy and enjoys companionship. She sleeps comfortably with family members at night and is used to being indoors most of the time." As we get more info, we will update, but if you would like to meet Ellie, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2681737##

Story
Oak and River are approximately 18 month old, both male and very large (about 80ish lbs or so) Great Pyrenees littermates. They are new to GRRAND so we are still learning about them, but one thing is for sure, they are so sweet and loving and they love to be petted! They were surrended as they were supposed to be trained for their Large Guardian Dog duties, but we are told by their previous owners that: "They were Initially raised to work as farm dogs, but due to our inability to spend the proper training time with them, they have spent most of their time in a kennel with no attention. They need a more caring and attentive environment – they are very sweet and docile dogs and we feel they need better care than we can give them." Neither of these boys have messed in their kennel run, and they are prepped to get a nice bath and brush. We think it's best to split these two up as Oak gets jealous if River tries to take his human's attention. GRRAND has had them with some of our easy dogs with no issues.  These guys need to go to homes with secure above ground fenced yards as they are Guardian dogs, and their job is to patrol and protect and they do this best in a secure and safe space, also they have never been on leash before coming to GRRAND. Great Pyrs have some differences than Goldens, so you should do a bit of research on the breed before you apply.  More to come on these two, but if you are interested in fostering or adopting one of these handsome floofy boys, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2681729##
