Story
Hi, my name is Bailey. I'm an Akita mix, about 3yrs old. I've been here for such a long time! No one has asked about me or anything! I'm sweet and I'm pretty good with puppies. I'm up to date on all of my shots and I'm neutered. I weigh about 66lbs.(the last weight taken was about a month ago) I love people and I'm walking pretty well on a leash. I do have some Akita traits. (The stubbornness!) But I want to be with you. I've started housebreaking and as long as you get me on a schedule, I'll do well. I never pottied in my crate. I really am a good boy who just wants his furever furfamily. I am people friendly! Can I be part of yours?❤🐾

Story
Meet Willow. Willow became a mom, we think at her first heat cycle. She ended up in a Texas kill shelter when she was full term. We pulled her and she went to a foster and she had 12 babies 48hrs later! Fast forward she has now weaned her puppies and 5 have been adopted. Willow has been spayed and is utd on her shots. Willow is timid at first as she's had so many changes in her young life. She is sweet and will get attached to someone who shows her love and attention. She would probably do best as an only pet. She'll need all of the love and security she can get as she's never had it. She needs more training but hasn't fought a leash. She does want to be with you. It's obvious that humans haven't been kind to our sweet Willow. She's very unsure of them. She just takes a bit to warm up as she waits to see what you'll do. She hasn't been very treat motivated as she's a bit fearful at first. Willow will be a great family member. The loving heart is there inside of her, waiting for the right person or family to give her the patient love she needs to thrive and be the best fur baby she can be. Willow is approximately 65lbs. She could stand to gain another 15-20lbs. We've been giving her puppy food for the calories and protein. As she's (best guess) about 14-18mos old, she should really still be eating puppy food anyway. Plus she likes it! We aren't sure what Willows breeds are. Some type of hound mix. She has a gorgeous brindle coat. If you are looking for a sweet, relatively quiet, large dog, Willow would be a great choice. She is also a great guard dog and let's us know if anything is in the yard that shouldn't be. Please open your heart and home to Willow. She so deserves a loving furever furamily.❤🐾 Idk which pics would be best for Willow so I chose several from different times since we pulled her. She still needs to be tested for Ehrlichia and Heartworms as those tests were both done in Houston and weren't definitive. I just figured we needed to get her posted as soon as possible. My vet isn't open on Mondays so I'll have to call them for quotes for both the tests and the treatments. We may have a sponsor from the Houston area that'll cover her expenses for them. If I missed any other important information about her, let me know!❤🐾 Chi Miigwich!
