Story
Meet Snookie: A Loyal Couch Companion with a Heart of GoldSnookie is a 7-year-old American Bulldog mix who is absolutely full of love. She’s happiest lounging on the couch with her people and would be thrilled to spend her days relaxing by your side, soaking up all the affection she can get. Although she loves to lounge, this girl has a playful, energetic side as well, and sometimes underestimates her own strength on the leash when she gets excited!Snookie does best with a consistent routine, as structure helps her feel secure and manage her anxiety. She’s very good at communicating and will let you know when it’s time to eat, drink, play, or simply enjoy some company. Snookie is wonderfully affectionate and does well with people of all ages. She’s looking for a calm, stable environment where her routine can be respected and her gentle nature appreciated. If you’re searching for a devoted companion who’s ready to settle in and share happy, loving days, Snookie may be the perfect match.

Story
Meet Cooper: A Big-Hearted Bulldog Mix with Energy to SpareCooper is a 2-year-old American Bulldog mix who’s equal parts muscle, mischief, and marshmallow. Athletic and high-drive, he thrives with routine, structure, and clear expectations. While he loves his cozy time with his favorite blankie, once he’s up, it’s go time—long walks, durable toys, and mental challenges keep this strong, smart boy at his best. He already knows basic commands like sit and down, and he’s generally good on leash, though a confident handler is key to keeping his excitement in check.Cooper has a very high prey drive, so he needs a home with no cats or small animals. With a proper introduction, he may do well with either a male or female canine companion that is closer to his size. A slow and proper introduction is reccomended, and a Meet & Greet onsite is required if you do have another dog. Due to his strength and tendency to get overstimulated, he’s also best suited for an adult-only home with bulldog-savvy adopters. In the right hands, Cooper will be a loyal, loving companion who’s as happy tackling a training challenge as he is curling up in his blanket. If you’ve got the experience, patience, and a stash of heavy-duty toys, Cooper might just be the bulldog mix you’ve been waiting for.

Meet Ruckus: A High-Energy Hound Ready for ActionRuckus is an 11-month-old Coonhound mix with an incredible amount of energy and enthusiasm for life. Ruckus thrives on activity and engagement and will do best in a home that can keep both his body and mind busy.Ruckus is very selective of other dogs. He is not suited for a home with cats. Due to his size and his tendency to jump when greeting people, Ruckus would be best in a home with children aged 8 and up.Ruckus still needs to learn some manners, but he is a smart, eager dog with tons of potential. With training, structure, and plenty of exercise, he will make an amazing companion for an active household.

Story
Meet Pablo – a hopeful 11-month-old Akbash cross searching for a special kind of home.Pablo is deeply fearful and not well socialized, so the world can feel very big and overwhelming to him. Loud noises, fast movement, and new places are scary right now—but underneath it all is a gentle boy who wants to learn what safe, patient love feels like.Pablo will need a dedicated and experienced adopter who understands fear, can move at his pace, and is ready to commit to building his confidence from the ground up. This isn’t a quick-fix dog—it’s a journey dog. The kind where trust is earned slowly, routines are sacred, and small wins become celebrations.A calm, predictable home with respectful humans (kids 10+), low pressure, and a structured enrichment and confidence-building plan will help Pablo grow. He needs someone willing to show him that the world doesn’t have to be so scary. If you have the heart, time, and dedication for a shy young dog who truly needs you… Pablo is ready to try—when you are.

Story
Meet Wendigo (Wen): A Husky with Heart, Hunger, and HumorWendigo — or Wen for short — is a 3-year-old Siberian Husky mix with a big personality and an even bigger comeback story. He came to us as a stray in very emaciated condition, and because of that, food is extremely important to him. He is highly food motivated and can be protective of his meals at times, though we have not seen aggression. With structure and continued guidance, he has been doing well.In fact, his love of food has worked in his favor. Our animal care attendants taught him how to sit using treats, and he does it with such dramatic enthusiasm we’re convinced he might register on the Richter scale. When there’s a snack involved, Wen is all in.Wen has plenty of energy and loves being outside, true to his Husky roots. Interestingly, he does get cold right now — likely due to his previous low weight — so he may benefit from a stylish puppy parka during chilly weather (at least until he fills out a bit more). He will need leash training and continued work on general manners, but he is eager to learn, especially if treats are part of the deal. Wen is incredibly trusting of people and has very high cuddle-bug potential once he’s had a chance to burn off some energy.Due to his enthusiasm and activity level, we recommend a home with children aged 10 and up.Wen is looking for a committed home ready to continue building his confidence, teaching him the ropes, and helping him thrive. With patience, structure, and plenty of snacks, he’s going to make a loyal, entertaining, and affectionate companion.

Story
Meet Elody – A Spirited Adventurer Looking for the Right MatchElody is a 3-year-old Husky/Hound mix with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life. This girl is a true wild child—full of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for the world around her.Elody loves going for walks and thrives when she can move her body and explore. Because of her excitable nature, she can become overstimulated, so she’ll do best with an adopter who understands high-energy dogs and can provide structure, enrichment, and consistent outlets for both her physical and mental needs. She is seeking an active, experienced home that enjoys being on the go and is committed to continuing her training and helping her learn how to settle and focus. Elody has a high prey drive and must be the only animal in the home—no other dogs, cats, or small animals.Elody would do best in a home without young children. A household with teens (13+) who are dog-savvy and respectful of boundaries may be a good fit. She is very protective of her people and can be wary of strangers, so a quieter, more rural setting with limited foot traffic would likely suit her best.If you’re looking for a loyal, adventurous companion and have the time, energy, and experience to meet her needs, Elody could be your perfect match.
