Story
Lebo came to me as a temporary foster. His owner had health issues and needed someone to care for him during a rehab stay. The gentleman's condition worsened and he was unable to resume care of Lebo. We have worked on Lebo's manners, and he has made huge improvements! He is eager to learn and please! He has been great with other dogs and my cats. He can occasionally be possessive over very high value items. He has a great personality, is loving, and is always doing something that makes us laugh! He is a great mix of energetic play and couch potato. He loves hiking and outdoor play and absolutely adores being close and cuddly. Once it was clear that his owner was unable to take him home, I began trying to find a home for him, but my network is small and I have been unable to find a stable and loving home for him. My landlord has given me a date till the end of December to find him a home, or take him to the shelter. Lebo thanks you for taking the time to read his profile!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Wilson is a wonderful, loving boy. One would wonder why? He and another small dog were left abandoned when the owner moved to another home. They were left with no shelter. Thankfully a neighbor fed and watered them and eventually, reached out for help. He was adopted out to a wonderful family but unfortunately, they have another dog and he and the other dog would periodically have a quarrel. There was an incident and the adopter felt more comfortable having him placed into a home without other pups. He would do best in a home where his adopter just wants a companion animal... someone to love them unconditionally. He is such a good boy. He is crate trained but does not need one. He LIVES for treats and loves to go on long walks. If he sounds like your boy applications for adoption are on our website www.onedogatatime.us.  When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. All applications are run prior to choosing an adopter.. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Mr. Poppy This adorable little fella is a spitfire to say the least. He came from a hoarding situation with a lot of other dogs. When he came in he was petrified. We took in several dogs from this home and with each drop-off... they told us these were the last dogs in the home. The dogs were not handled much and he will still run from you if he feels threatened or knows you want to put him in his crate. He can be crated and should be when you are not home, but he really doesn't care for it. Mr. Poppy will require a home with at least one other smaller to medium sized pup or a home where his people are home more often than not. He prefers adults and is what we call our "Parrot dog". He is happy to be laying with you, in your lap, or lounging on your shoulder watching tv. He does currently sleep in bed with his foster mom and dad, so he will need a home where this is ok and furniture is not off-limits. We would suggest a home that is not extremely active as he is reactive to strangers when they first come into the home. He does not do well on car rides, so he will be happy to just hang out at the house with you, rather than going on trips to the store, etc. We are recommending no children under 15 for this little guy. He wants to be the only "kid" in the house. If having a companion who thinks you are his world is what you are looking for and are willing to deal with his limitations, then Mr. Poppy is your boy! When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. All applications are ran prior to choosing an adopter... This process takes time and we do not adopt out on a "first come first served" basis. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please say hello to Beth! Beth is a Bernese Mountain Dog/ Husky Mix. She was born December 7, 2018. Prior to coming into rescue she lived her life in a small kennel inside of a barn, breeding puppies over and over. She had no name, they called her 'Dog.' Beth is learning a whole new life outside of the farm. She is playful but will need time to open up. She is scared of new things and has only lived in a barn stall her whole life. She loves being outside so will require a fenced in yard and a home with older children. Beth loves playing with other dogs so a home with another dog would be fine. But she can be an only dog. She loves playing with stuffies and will lay with them. She has never lived in a home so it will all be new. She will need patience from adopter so she can trust them. Beth will be a committed companion. Once Beth is comfortable she is good with anyone. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you would like to to welcome sweet Beth into your family, please apply at www.onedogatatime.us When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. All applications are ran prior to choosing an adopter..
