Story
Bubba & Bistro are best buds. They came from a multi-cat home where someone passed away. During the rescue process they always followed us around showing concern for where their friends were going. Bubba & Bisto were rescued separately a couple weeks apart and during the time apart, they each were sad and lonely. When we were able to reunite them into the same foster home, their happiness to see each other confirmed their bond and strong pairing. They are 2 peas in a pod that love snuggling together. They are extra gentle and loving, friendly, and trusting. They love people and greet you with joy. They follow you around, come to you for petting, love to be pet and scratched. Bubba looks up at you with adoring eyes, while Bisto licks your hand to give you a kiss and thank you for your attention. They are loyal, sensitive and empathetic types that will make great companions for someone. Their personalities are mellow, laid-back, quiet but not shy, well-mannered. They will make great buddies for someone who likes to chill and hang out. Bubba is the handsome black & white shorthair, a bundle of love. The brown cat is Bistro, a magnificent longhair, possibly a Mainecoon/Norwegian Forest. They are both fixed and fully vetted. About 5 years old.

Story
Hello! My name is Moonpie!I`m a very handsome longer haired tuxedo kitty!I was originally adopted out as a kitten, but unfortunately my family could no longer keep me due to no fault of my own, and I find myself back at MCAC in search of my true furever family. I will need regular brushing to keep my coat nice and healthy!I`m a couple pounds overweight per the vet, so in order to focus on my summer bod, I`ll need my food intake monitored and an increase in my activity will help me get back to my appropriate weight! With your help I`ll be back to a healthy weight in no time! I`m a little shy at first, so please give me some time to adjust to my new home! I`ve been around other cats in my previous home and got along great with them; I`ll need a slow supervised introduction to any new cats in your home to set us all up for success. I`ve not been around dogs or small children, so supervised introductions are a must.I`m up to date on my vaccines, just please make sure that I see my new veterinarian regularly! If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $50!

Story
Meet Linus!Sweet, Affectionate, and CuriousLinus is a charming 3-year-old domestic long hair who`s ready to bring some extra love and joy into your home. This handsome fellow is not just a pretty face; he`s also incredibly friendly and enjoys the company of other cats. Linus is the perfect companion for a household with feline friends!Linus would thrive in a home with older children, ideally 10 and up, who can understand his need for gentle interactions. While he`s open to the idea of sharing his space with a canine companion, he`ll need some time to get used to the idea. Slow introductions are key to helping Linus feel comfortable around dogs.Being a long-haired kitty, Linus requires regular brushing to keep his luxurious coat in top condition. Additionally, due to some matting issues, Linus recently underwent a grooming session where he needed to be shaved. But don`t worry, his fur will grow back beautifully with the proper care and attention!Linus may need some time to adjust to his new home and surroundings, so patience is key. With a little time and lots of love, Linus will settle in and become an integral part of your family. Are you ready to open your heart and home to this charming gentleman? Come meet Linus today and discover the purrfect addition to your family! If you`d like to meet Linus or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control they are open M-F from 10am-4pm. They will also be open on Saturday 6-15-24 from 10am-3pm. Come and meet your new best friend. My Adoption fee is $50.

Story
Hi, I`m Gramps, a courageous kitty who has been through a lot in my life. At around 6 years old, I was rescued from a difficult hoarding situation. Despite my tough start, I`m slowly learning to trust and am on the path to becoming a loving companion.I’m quite shy and need time to come out of my shell. New environments and people can be a bit overwhelming for me, so I appreciate patience and gentle interactions. Once I feel safe, I start to show my sweet and gentle side. When I first arrived at the shelter, I was very sick. But thanks to the amazing care here, I’m getting better every day. I`m now up to date on my vaccinations and am being closely monitored to ensure I continue to improve.I need a calm, quiet, and stable home where I can feel secure and loved. Someone who understands my unique background and is willing to give me the time I need to adjust would be perfect. Slow introductions to other pets and a patient approach will help me feel at ease. I may hide at first and need plenty of time and space to feel comfortable. Building trust with me will take time, but the rewards are immense as I begin to show my true personality. A home that can provide a safe haven where I can relax and feel secure is essential for my well-being.By adopting me, you are giving a deserving cat a second chance at life. Your home will be filled with love and gratitude as I slowly reveal my loving and unique personality. Your compassion can make all the difference in my journey towards a happy, healthy life.If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $25.00

Story
We have to look for a new home for our beautiful cat because our young child is highly allergic to cats. We have tried everything, nothing works. The cat is 6.5 years old. She is vaccinated, chipped, healthy and neutered. She is insanely affectionate, very attached to the owner. Loves to eat and sleep, as well as attention and affection of the owner. Will live perfectly in a family with children as well as with elderly people. As she is a calm and affectionate cat.
