Age: 12 Years Weight: 8lbs Good with dogs? Not at this time (Potentially an older, calm, small dog) Good with cats? Not at this time Good with kids? No Energy Level: Moderate Adoption Fee: $125.00 Any other info: Meet Bliss! Bliss is a stunning female senior cat with beautiful orange and white fur that radiates warmth and charm. Bliss's journey has been heartbreaking—she was adopted out a few years ago, but tragically, both of her beloved parents have passed away, leaving her back in the unsettling shelter environment. Bliss is grieving the profound loss of her family and is struggling to adjust to the noise and stress of the shelter. Her heartbreak has even made her lose her appetite, making her time here even more challenging. Despite her current struggles, Bliss's sweet and gentle nature shines through. She longs for a calm and loving home where she can decompress and find comfort once again. This gorgeous girl deserves a peaceful environment where she can heal and feel secure. If you have a quiet home and a big heart, Bliss will reward you with her affection and gentle companionship. The sooner she can find her forever home, the sooner she can begin to heal and be happy again. Here at the shelter she is petrified of every single sound and just hides in the comfort and safety of her soft hideaway bed but in a home she is incredibly loving and seeks out attention and pets from her people. Bliss is around 12 years old, spayed, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and triple tested negative for FIV, FelV, and Heartworm disease. She is beyond ready to bust out of the shelter and be a part of a family again. Ready to give Bliss the loving home she so desperately needs? Reach out to us today, and let's give this beautiful soul the forever family she deserves. If you can't adopt at this time, maybe you would be interested in even fostering her for us to get her out of the shelter. If you have the purrfect home for Bliss, please apply through the link below. https://serenityanimalhospital.net/cat-adoption-application/ Once your application has been processed, our adoptions team will reach out to schedule a meet and greet in person with Bliss. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our adoption fee includes the pets spay or neuter, microchip, up to date vaccines, FelV/FIV/Heartworm test and fecal check. Story
Meet Lemon – Sweet, Shy, and Ready to LoveLemon is a 15-week-old medium-haired black kitten with the fluffiest fur and the softest little meow. She came to us with her equally adorable sisters, Clementine and Mango, and has been learning all about the good life—full of cozy blankets, gentle pets, and tasty treats.Though she’s a little shy at first, Lemon has a gentle, curious spirit and warms up with patience and love. Once she trusts you, she’s all purrs, head boops, and kitten snuggles. She especially loves quiet moments and will happily curl up near you while you read or watch TV.Lemon would do best in a calm home, possibly with one of her sisters or a friendly resident kitty to help show her the ropes. If you’re looking for a sweet, slightly bashful baby to grow with, Lemon might just be your perfect match.Come meet her and see how sweet life can be with a little Lemon. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $100.

Story
Peanut Butter & Jelly (Bonded Pair) Peanut Butter ~ Long Hair Brown Tabby & White Neutered Male Jelly ~ Long Hair Brown Tabby & White Neutered Male Estimated Birthdays: 2/26/2024 Meet our adorable bonded brothers, PB & J! They have always been together and do well around other cats with proper introductions. They have not been around children or dogs, so slow introductions would be needed. All current pets must be fixed and up-to-date on vaccines. Peanut Butter is a sweet cat who loves to adore his humans from afar. His favorite flavor of wet food is Tuna and he goes crazy for Catnip flavored treats. Peanut Butter can take a while to warm up to his human, but with some patience and his brother, Jelly, at his side, he will eventually start showing his quirky personality. He likes to follow his brother around and explore with him. Peanut Butter always makes sure to greet you in the morning as well. He would be good in a quiet home. He loves to be around other cats. Jelly is a curious cat who loves to explore. His favorite flavor of wet food is all of them and he has never had a treat he didn't like. Jelly is a foodie so you will learn fast to keep your food in a safe spot. He gets very excited if he smells chicken fajitas, pizza, and Arby's roast beef. Once he gets comfortable, he will enjoy cuddling with his human and playing chase with his brother Peanut Butter! Jelly will also make sure to greet you in the morning and he loves to be around other cats. Both boys are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and have been treated for parasites. Their adoption fee is $200 as a pair. We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)!
