Story
Oakley Long Hair Orange, Brown Tortie Spayed Female Estimated Birthday: 8/13/2025 Meet Oakley! This beautiful long-haired torbie (tortie/tabby) kitten is the gentlest soul with the softest fur. She’s a laid-back, shy girl who prefers to take things at her own pace, quietly observing the world before deciding to join in. Once she feels safe and comfortable, her sweet personality shines—she’ll happily roll over for pets and soak up affection from her trusted humans. She enjoys simple pleasures like batting around toy balls and lounging in the most unexpected cozy spots. This little lady thrives in a calm, predictable environment and would do best in a quiet home without dogs, where she can establish a steady routine. A home with older children who understand how to respect her boundaries could be a great fit. With patience and love, she’ll reward you with gentle companionship and tender moments that make earning her trust extra special. Oakley would love to go to a home with her sister, Willow, or to a home with another feline friend to show her the ropes. Oakley is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and has been treated for parasites. Her adoption fee is $125, or $200 as a pair with Willow. All current pets must be fixed and up-to-date on vaccines. Fill out our online application to get approved for a meet and greet: http://www.tigerlilyrescue.com/adoption-application/

Willow Long Hair Orange, Brown Tortie Spayed Female Estimated Birthday: 8/13/2025 Meet Willow! This stunning long-haired torbie (tortie/tabby) is a quiet kitten with an observant nature and a heart full of sweetness. She’s the most shy of her siblings and prefers to take life slowly, often choosing to lounge comfortably and watch the world from a safe distance rather than dive into the action. Toys don’t interest her much—she’s much happier relaxing nearby and keeping an eye on everything. Her favorite spot to lounge? In her foster family’s guinea pig cages. Once she feels safe and settled, her affectionate side comes definitely comes out. She adores gentle pets and will happily soak up attention from the people she trusts. And if you’re looking for the quickest way to her heart, food is definitely the answer—she’s a big fan of tasty treats and mealtime routines. She would thrive in a quiet, dog-free home where she can establish a predictable routine and continue building confidence at her own pace. A household with older, respectful children may be a good fit. With patience, love, and a calm environment, she’ll become a loyal companion to her forever family. Willow would love to find a forever home with her long haired counter part, Oakley. Willow is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and has been treated for parasites. Her adoption fee is $125, or $200 as a pair with Oakley. All current pets must be fixed and up-to-date on vaccines. Meet Axel! Axel is a gentle, fluffy, and very handsome boy who truly loves attention. Being picked up, petted, and adored is right up his alley—and he’ll happily come running when you call his name. Axel enjoys being close to his humans and has a funny habit of stealing your seat the moment you stand up, just to keep it warm for you. He has an easygoing, affectionate nature that makes him a wonderful companion. He shares a strong bond with his sister, Dora, and the two are often found together. Axel also gets along well with other male cats and keeps things peaceful, with very little bickering. Axel would be a fantastic addition to a loving home—especially one where he can stay with his sister and continue soaking up all the affection he deserves. ##2628498##

Story
Meet Mister Mustache – A Distinguished Gentleman with a Big Heart Mister Mustache is a truly special soul—a dapper, long-haired gentleman with a one-of-a-kind look and personality to match. With his striking mustache markings, charming meow, and impressive resilience, he’s sure to steal your heart. This sophisticated tripod has adapted beautifully to life with three legs. Despite his front-left amputation, Mister Mustache navigates his world with confidence and grace. He’s also FIV+, but remains in great health and continues to thrive in his loving foster home. Mister Mustache is a cat who values trust and connection. Once you've earned a place in his heart, expect tender interactions, soft meows of conversation, and gentle nudges asking for chin rubs and ear scratches. He even enjoys having his luxurious fur brushed—turning grooming time into bonding time. He’s also blossoming into a furniture companion, often lounging nearby and occasionally testing the waters of lap life. His communication is crystal clear: when he's had enough pets or play, he might give a gentle warning nip to let you know. For that reason, he’s best suited to an experienced cat guardian who understands feline body language and boundaries. Mister Mustache prefers the quiet life—he’s not looking for feline roommates and would do best as the only cat. A calm dog might be a fit, but what he truly wants is a home where he can feel safe, understood, and adored. His favorite treats? Freeze-dried minnows and duck! His favorite habit? Hiding when nervous—but meowing for permission to rejoin you, tail swishing with curiosity. If you’re ready to open your home to a cat with depth, dignity, and a whole lot of love to give, Mister Mustache is waiting to meet his person. Let him charm you—with one paw, three legs, and an unforgettable heart. Mister Mustache is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org. Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Story
Hi, I’m Baby Ruth! I’m a gorgeous, fluffy long-haired tabby just over a year old, and I used to be a *very* busy mom. I raised all six of my Candy Bar babies after we were found trapped in an apartment complex. I took my job seriously and loved every one of them—but now that they’re grown and finding homes of their own, it’s finally my turn to be someone’s baby. I can be a little shy at first, but once I feel safe, my quirky and affectionate side comes out. I *love* being brushed (it’s one of my favorite ways to bond), and I’m always down for chin rubs and booty scratches. If you’re extra lucky, I may even allow a belly rub—those are VIP-only. When I want to play, I flirt. When I want to relax, I’ll curl up next to you on the couch and enjoy a cozy movie night. I also very much desire a window perch where I can lounge, watch the world go by, and look absolutely stunning doing it. I get along well with the cats in my foster home and even the mellow dog, and I’d also be perfectly happy as your one and only. I’m thriving now that mom life is behind me and would do best in a calm, quieter household with older kids who understand and respect gentle souls like mine. I’ve taken care of everyone else. Now I’m ready to settle into a home where I can be brushed, adored, and loved forever. Baby Ruth is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
