Meet Alfredo! He's an incredibly sweet boy who is both chill and playful. He loves attention and basking in the sun. He gets along great with the cat and dog in the home and he always uses the litter box. His long fur requires lots of brushing but luckily being brushed is his most favorite thing. I think he likes being brushed more than he likes food. Alfredo had all of his teeth removed due to severe dental disease but that doesn't stop him from eating anything; he loves canned food, dry food and every type of treat he's come across. Alfredo would do best with someone who will be patient with him while he settles in and who will put in the work to gain his trust. Preferably a home without small children, but he would really like a feline friend. To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Story: Tofu was rescued from a kill shelter in Puerto Rico. We are so happy to have him with us in a foster home. Tofu is a happy and sweet young cat. He spends his days cuddling and playing with his foster family and chasing all the fun toys they have. The fee to adopt Tofu is $200 ($325 for two kittens). This covers the cost of his neuter, vaccines appropriate for his age, the collar he’s wearing, and his care in foster. I am searching for a new home for Precious, our five and half year old, mixed-breed cat. She is very timid; however, once she warms up to you, she loves sleeping under the covers right next to you or on top of the covers between your legs. She also loves to be brushed with a brush and can be talkative. She is neutered and up to date on all her shots. She can and does use the litterbox; yet she is completely stressed in our house, so she sprays in different spots. That stress is from our 14-year-old dominant cat and our 2 1/2-year old GS. She used to have her own room; however, no longer does due to renovations. I've tried everything and really want her to have the quality of life she deserves. Now she spends most of her time under the bed.
