Story
Jackson Jr. is a very handsome medium hair gray tabby with white on his lower face, neck, belly and feet. He looks like he is wearing white boots and white gloves. His owner had to surrender him after having him for 3 years, so he is a little shy at first. You can pick him up and pet him but not for very long. Once he is in a home again, he will probably turn into a loving lap pet. He would be best as the only cat in a home with no children or dogs so he can get his owner's undivided love and attention. He has been neutered & is up to date on his vaccinations. All of our cats are fostered in Tennessee, but we transport to most states. This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Laverne is an adorable, energetic and sweet kitten who came to Fancy Cats within days of her October birth from a crowded shelter.  Her mom is Tolkein and her siblings are Shirley, Lenny and Squiggy.   Laverne is a quiet young lady – when she meows, only a tiny squeak comes out.  Laverne is very friendly and the “bravest” of her siblings.  She is the first kitten to climb new heights, tackle stairs and run around the foster’s house. Laverne is too busy being a typical kitten to be carried around but loves to climb into a nearby lap when she needs to take a rest from chasing her siblings.  Laverne is very interested in toys and shiny objects.  She’s athletic and loves to climb the cat tree.   Laverne is healthy, uses her litter box faithfully and is learning to use her scratching post…..however, she is still a baby and will need oversight and reinforcement to keep these good house manners.  Laverne has met her foster home’s resident dog and cat – she was very curious and would likely do fine in a home with other pets as long as an appropriate introduction protocol is followed.  Laverne loves food and is always ready for mealtime.  Laverne has a fluffy black and white coat – it’s too early to tell how long her hair will be but it’s likely that she’ll have medium or long hair so her new family should be prepared to brush her regularly to keep her looking gorgeous.       Please note it is Fancy Cats' policy that kittens have an age-appropriate playmate in the home. We also do not adopt kittens to families with children under six years old without seeing appropriate history/experience with cats.   Adoption fee: $250, includes 1 st  FVRCP, deworming, deflea, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
Penelope is a 10 year old domestic medium hair with a soft, even coat and a gentle, shy nature. She is very timid at first but incredibly sweet—there isn’t a bad bone in her body. Penelope is usually still watching us from a distance, but her coming out on her own is big progress in just a few days. She was so unsettled she wouldn’t even eat when she arrived at the shelter and it took 2 days here for her to start trusting us; now, after just a week in our home, she reliably finishes full meals and is beginning to relax. Penelope accepts lap time in short, affectionate portions and enjoys quiet, gentle petting, though she does not want to be held a lot so far. Penelope seems content either alongside her brother Ezra or on her own. While she might be happiest with her brother, she also appears perfectly capable of settling into a single pet home. She would likely thrive best in a very quiet household with a calm, predictable routine and patient introductions. Penelope is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and litter box trained. An adopter who offers a peaceful environment, steady reassurance, and respect for her pace will find a devoted, tender companion in Penelope.   Adoption fee: $100, includes all shots, sterilized, dewormed, deflea, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have.
