Meet Blackjack – this stunningly gorgeous boy is estimated to be about three years old … and is an absolutely fabulous cat. Although it is hard to see in the photos, his coat has a smoke coloration. Instead of having fully-colored black hairs, there is a white underlayer to the roots – giving him a unique look. Blackjack came to us after being abandoned by his previous owners and left to fend for himself. We are happy to report that he has now been neutered and vaccinated and has learned to love his new inside digs and all the toys, cat trees and wet food dinners. This dear one gets along well with other cats and, after being on his own for some time, has learned that he loves people and attention. Please note we have a minimum adoption age of 25, and homes must be indoor only, though catios are awesome.The first step in our process is to fill out an application at www.havenrescue.org/catapplication

Meet Miss Mia. This stunningly gorgeous girl came to our rescue when her lifelong guardian passed away. Mis is a sweet and gentle girl. And she is aching for a new lap to call her own. Mia is a bit on the quiet side but still loves to play — and cozy cuddle time on the couch, while snuggled in blankets, is her favorite thing. Mia has tested positive for FIV. Research shows that FIV cats can live as long and healthy as non-infected cats, though they may have a weakened immune system, making viruses and infections easier to catch and harder to fight. Overall, they have the same needs as any other cat: high-quality nutrition, a clean, stress-free, strictly indoor environment, regular veterinary visits, and lots of love. Please note that our cat adoptions also require indoor-only care. To Haven, indoor-only means the cat is not left unattended or free-roaming outside.Kitten adoptions require all children in the home to be over five years old.The first step in our adoption process is to fill out the interested party application for cats here. KitCat has been with us since she was a kitten. She is a calm cat with moments of high activity (especially for her age [11], she is still very youthful). She enjoys playing with her laser and feather pole toys, and she loves to "parkour" around the home and especially loves it when we lay random large objects around to create temporary obstacle courses. She loves to snuggle on our laps and purrs loudly when she is comfortable, though she also likes her alone time for deep slumber. She is very into "cat TV", in which she sits for long periods of time watching birds and other wildlife through a window. My allergies have gotten significantly worse over the last year, so unfortunately we have to re-home her. Due to IBS issues, she is fed an affordable special raw food diet. It is imperative that her diet not change. She would be best for a laid-back owner who has time for and wants a lap cat. Indoor only.
