Story
Hiya! They call me Pootsie! I am a 2 year old, large size, spayed female, and I'm looking for my fur-ever home! I'm a fun and frisky kitty that loves playtime, chatting, and nibbling on tasty treats! I would love to find a home where I can be the center of attention. My ideal family would be with someone who is familiar with active and opinionated cats like me. I would do best with adults or teens in my new home, and as the only cat, as I tend to get overstimulated which means that sometimes I just want some alone time. I love to play with toys and will jump at the chance to chase a feather wand. If you are looking for a feline companion who will keep you entertained- perhaps I'm the gal for you? Ask for me by name!! Pootsie ID# A936188  Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010. Story
Hi there!  My name is Zelda and I'm a 1 and a half year old, spayed, Domestic short hair cat. I'm a gentle little sweetheart who can be on the shy side, but I love being pet! I'd do best in an adult only home or one with older kids. I will roll around and purrr to show you I'm happy. Once I'm comfortable, I enjoy playing with toys! For more information, just ask Customer Service about Zelda!!  ID# A944857 This cat tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).  He/she otherwise appears to be in excellent health.  Cats with FIV can usually live for many years with no medical problems.  Usually at some point however the virus will start to affect them.  The most common thing that happens is that they get sicker than a normal cat would when they get a cold or other condition.  FIV is transmitted almost exclusively via bite wounds. For this reason we recommend that this cat should be an only cat and not be allowed outdoors.  New owner should be prepared to have expenses relating to veterinary care in the future. Please ask to speak with a PHS Veterinarian to learn more about this cat and FIV.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010. Story
Video Available! Hi everybody, my name is Sooty! I am a 14 year old, spayed female, medium sized, domestic shorthair kitty looking for a loving home in which to spend my golden years. My foster family can tell you what my personality is like once I'm comfortable: Sooty is a super friendly and loving cat who enjoys hanging out with her family. She is a master cuddler and loves getting lots of pets and affection from her favorite people. She even likes her belly rubbed! Sooty knows the key to longevity is exercise and enjoys walking throughout the house chatting you up about her day with her sweet, soft meows. She takes advantage of sunny afternoons by taking long, cozy naps and she will happily serenade you with her snores. Sooty also likes to look good - she enjoys being groomed and comes back for more. She is very easy going and is friendly towards the other cats in her foster home. She is a cat nip and fish-flavored food fanatic with world class litterbox skills. Sooty promises endless love, gentle headbutts, and a lifetime supply of warm cuddles. If I sound like the purrfect kitty for you, please come visit me at the PHS Adoption Center and ask for Sooty! Hey friend, I'm Clover! I am a 1 year old, spayed female, medium sized, domestic shorthair kitty looking for my furrever home.  I am a bit overwhelmed by life right now, but I am gaining confidence fast! I would love to go home to a cat-savvy family that can help me with my socialization. Right now I enjoy playing with toys and receiving gentle pets while I eat, but I remain a bit hand shy. I'd do best in a home with teens or adults only due to my shyness. If you have the patience to help a timid little lady get out of her shell, I'm your girl! Story
Hello, I am a short-haired Torbie girl who craves love and attention. My mom was a feral and my siblings and I were rescued and socialized after we were born. I am shy and timid at first so please be very patient and once you earn my trust, I'll be your BFF. I'm playful, litterbox trained, spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, not a picky eater and will snuggle next to you in bed. My fur is very soft and I LOVE to be brushed. I would thrive in a quiet, mellow household preferably with another furry companion.

Brothers, Dougie and Tristan were born at the college of San Mateo. They were older than the other kittens that had been trapped when they were rescued so they took longer to socialize.  Now they are love-bugs who are initially a little shy but not for long. Dougie is the shy brother while Tristan is much more outgoing. Tristan loves pets down his back while Dougie love tummy rubs. They both love to play with ribbons and get treats from your fingers. The boys are a bonded pair so want to stay together. Is yours the family for two wonderful brothers?
