Story
Meet Silas! A sweet boy with a gentle soul. So gentle in fact, that he doesn't handle his stress well. Silas has chronic cystitis, which is triggered by stress. This dapper gentleman would do best in a home with no dogs, no super young children, and only one other calm cat friend, or no other cats. He's so worth it, he is so full of life and love to give! (NOTE: Silas is located in Pendleton, Oregon but we frequently transport to Portland and surrounding areas!)

Story
Maddox has been with me for 10 years and gone through quite a lot. Unfortunately with the birth of my son she has not adapted well. She is easily spooked but very loving. She needs someone older to sit with her, pet her and most importantly love her. I’m sad that this is happening but she will be much happier in a home that moves slower.

Story
Groot is 3½ years old. He is a very loving & sweet boy with a good temperament. He is shy & gets intimidated by our other cats easily. We have a total of 5 included him. He does great with our 2 older cats that are 15 (female) & 16 (male) which he has created quite a bond with. Our younger males are constantly chasing him & picking on him. This causes him to hide a lot & miss out on the much needed attention he so deserves. I have never in my 40 years of life re-homed a pet. I am devastated, as is our entire family. I believe he would do well as either the only pet or with an older cat or a timid cat as himself. Or possibly even an older, small dog in the home. He has always been around dogs since everyone in my family has them. He has never acted out while they're here, just kinda stays back & watches. He has also created a bond with our bunny rabbit. We have a 9 y/o daughter & 4 y/o son in the home that he adores. I hope to find someone to love him as dearly as we do!

Story
Wanda is a beautiful tortoiseshell kitten ready to meet the family who will take her home and love her forever! Wanda and her sister Willow are very bonded and will be adopted as a pair. They are about 14 weeks old. ** Wanda and Willow will only be adopted as a pair. ** These girls are loving, playful, and confident. They enjoy endless hours playing together and they get along well with the other cats in their foster home. They love all kinds of toys and "chase and rassle" games. We would describe their activity level as 9+ on a scale of 10. Eventually their kitten energy will subside, but they will do best in a home that isn't currently filled with delicate, valuable objects. When playtime is over, they love cuddling in a warm lap and they will expect to be welcomed to sleep on the bed with the people in their new home. All of our kittens for adoption have been spayed, microchipped, are up to date on vaccines, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV. The adoption fee is $150 for a pair. If you are interested in meeting Wanda & Willow, please fill out the adoption interest form at our website (www.pdx-petadoption.org) and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly. Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark. Animal Rescue & Care Fund is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering one of our pets for adoption.

Story
Gilbert and Eddie are two young fellas who came from different circumstances but have become best buddies at their foster home. Both of them get along well with the other cats in their home, but they picked each other as playmates and besties--it's a good thing, because they have a lot of energy! They are looking for a family to take them home and love them forever. ** Gilbert and Eddie will only be adopted as a pair.** These boys are about 2 years old. Gilbert is a brown striped tabby and Eddie is a black and white tuxedo. They are playful, curious, and very sweet. They can be shy with strangers, but once proper introductions have been made, they want to hang out on the couch with their people. Gilbert is a true gentleman, mild-mannered and polite. He is a "near you but not on you" guy, and will never be a bother to anyone. Eddie likes to get up close and personal--a velcro kitty who loves to stretch out next to his person on the bed for maximum contact. Gilbert and Eddie both love toys, treats, and meal time. They have excellent house manners and no special dietary needs, other than the high-quality food we provide for all our rescued cats. Both Gilbert and Eddie have been neutered, microchipped, are up to date on vaccines, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV. The adoption fee is $150 for the pair. If you are interested in meeting Gilbert & Eddie please fill out the adoption interest form at our website (www.pdx-petadoption.org) and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly.
