Story
Hi, my name is Posey, but my foster mom affectionately calls me Potato. I had a rough start to life, but despite this, I am full of energy and love.I love to make muffins and be pet while I eat. I am super food motivated, so I will remind you when it is time for breakfast and dinner by meowing and running to my food bowl! I love to be in the kitchen while you are cooking or eating. I will sometimes even try to steal your food, which my foster mom thinks is really cute.I absolutely love the cat-friendly dogs in my foster home. I will try to be near them as much as I can. I am curious about the resident cats, but I mostly stay away from them because they haven't warmed up to me yet. I think I would do really well with another friendly kitty or a cat-friendly dog. I even did really well with the energetic foster puppies that were in the house!I love pets and behind-the-ear scratches, but I am also still young and will try to play bite when I've had enough pets. I am obsessed with catnip and string toys. I get the zoomies during the day and love to run around the house and parkour off of doorframes. I would love a home with lots of toys and cat furniture to climb on.I have been fully vetted, including full bloodwork, and I am a healthy kitty! If you are interested in adding me to your home please email adoption@columbiahumane.org.For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgJune 5, 2023, 7:00 am

Story
Callie is a 10 month old, petite, female calico. White with orange and black markings and striking blue eyes, she is as pretty and darling as a kitty can be! She loves affection, purrs and climbs over her foster for pets, and enjoys being with her human. Fun loving, she chases her bird toy and amuses herself with her toys and paper bag she climbs into. Easy to hold, trim nails, medicate, she is an easy cat to have.As a young kitten, she was assaulted by a dog that reportedly caused her to have seizures for a short time. Because of this, she was followed by a vet specialist for several months and determined to be fine. No seizures have been observed and she was spayed, chipped, vaccinated, etc.Callie would do best in a home with no dogs or young children. Ideally, a home that can give her plenty of attention would be great. She can be an only cat or with a cat friendly kitty that could be a playmate, preferably a gentle, playful male to avoid territorial problems. Vet reference preferred. If you are interested in Callie please email adoption@columbiahumane.org in order to obtain an adoption contract. Please note that due to Callie's medical issues she will only be allowed to go home on a foster to adopt contract at this time. Once she has been cleared medically by our vet her foster home will have the first right at adoption for her.For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgJune 5, 2023, 7:00 am

Story
I am a special girl with funny view on the world. My eyes don't work the best but I can still see enough to be a goof ball and a lover. One of my eyes is like looking though a dirty windshield, my other eye is more clear but only half open. I love to talk whether its meowing for attention or trilling while looking out the window and running around with other cats. I take a while to get used to new cats but once I get used to them we become best friends. I love to wrestle with and then clean my friends. My best friend is Nikki. I was hand raised since I was about 10 days old so I am great at being handled, as long as you aren't playing with my eyes. I will sometimes flinch when you first touch me if I don't realize you were approaching or I don't recognize your scent. My biggest down fall is I occasionally pee in the wrong spot, I don't know why but the humans seem to think my anxiety is the main cause. I recently went through an period where I could walk very well. The humans found I had Luxating patellas but that was not the overall cause. After many vet visits and tests they figured out I had an infection that was effecting my muscles. They put me on this gross meds and after a few days I had no more pain. I now continue to be a playful girl that just wants to be with people. I love wrestling and grooming other cats as well as playing with kicker toys or stuffed toys. I have been through a lot in my life but I am ready to find a place of my own that will love me the way I am. Kids: Older or adult onlyCats: Friendly and playful yes, slow introduction. I would love to stay with Nikki if possible.Dogs: They don't seem to bother meSpecial/Medical: Visually impaired, Anxiety, Inappropriate urination, Luxating Patellas

Story
Albert is the more social of the brothers. He will reach with his front right paw to get pets. He has a tiny squeaky meow that really only comes out when he wants food. He has a tendency to be overweight, but has lost weight quickly on light food. I would recommend keeping him on this diet. He likes to be pet and tolerates being held better than his brother. He is a good cuddler, but usually only at night. He LOVES other cats and kids. I think both Albert and Alvin would tolerate dogs just fine. These boys are a sweet pair and will make a wonderful addition to anyone's home.Cats: Yes, must be adopted with AlvinDogs: OkayKids: YesSpecial: Prone to URI's, on a supplement added to foodAdoption Fee: $150 for the pair

Story
Rufus is a gentle, quiet guy who likes to be picked up and held. He will melt into your arms when you are standing, though he gets restless once you sit down. He is not really a lap kitty, but if he is tired enough, he will let you cradle him like a baby and will sleep in your arms while you rub his belly. His default sleeping place is at the foot of a bed, and he may wake you up in the morning by walking up the length of your body while purring and wanting attention.... and food. He'll usually rub against your legs when you are in the kitchen, hoping you will give him some canned cat food. He generally seems indifferent to attention most of the time, but he is very friendly and will always allow you to pet him anywhere on his body. He's especially fond of firm scratches around his haunches. Rufus especially loves to play with things that he can roll around on the floor, and he often packs his toys all over the house. Rufus loves being around his people. He doesn't like to be on the other side of a closed door from you and cries for a few minutes when you leave the house. Rufus is a super sweet guy we're sure you'll fall in love with. He does not let his FIV+ status slow him down, and he is in really good health. He enjoys wrestling with his buddy, Meatball, who is also FIV+. They are bonded.Cats: Needs to be adopted with Meatball and could live with others as wellDogs: UnknownKids: olderSpecial: FIV+, indoor onlyAdoption Fee: $180 for the pair
