Story
This is Tiger, a ex-friend asked me to baby sit him a year and a half ago and never came back. Tiger is a very sweet boy, is is 10 years old, he is neutered. He loves to cuddle and is sweet for the most part. Unfortunately I have my own cats and he does not get along with them whatsoever and is aggressive with other animals. I cannot keep him at my home. He does love to get pet, and he will tell you when he has enough (which is pretty fast) but I think that’s because he can smell my other cats. Tiger is a strictly indoor cat only. He does eat hard food and prefers to drink out of a cat fountain (if it’s a bowl he likes to go fishing lol)Tiger is very vocal and loves to have conversations with you.He was rehomed 3 months ago, but unfortunately the person could not meet tigers needs at that time. When he is in a new environment he does get a bit angry and prefers to hide until he feels confident and comfortable, which is why he needs someone who is experienced and patient with him.

Story
Sterling is a 5-year-old solid grey gentleman ready to be the center of your world. A true "velcro cat," he’ll follow you room-to-room and narrate his day with sweet chirps. While a little nervous at first, once he feels safe, he is the ultimate lap cat. He is very social with other cats and loves to play wrestle, so he would do great with a resident cat friend. He is also good with respectful, active children. Sterling is neutered, up to date on all shots, and has perfect litter box habits. He is strictly an indoor-only cat. Most importantly, Sterling needs to be near his humans at night. He is looking for a home where he is encouraged to sleep in the "big bed" with you. He has a very hard time being shut out of the bedroom and thrives on that overnight closeness. If you are looking for a sweet grey shadow who wants to be part of every moment, including bedtime snuggles, Sterling is the perfect match for you.

Story
Dolly and Smokey are a beautiful brother and sister duo looking for a new home where they can enjoy the outdoors and keep watch over a barn, shop, or rural property. Both cats are used to spending most of their time outdoors and occasionally coming inside or relaxing in a heated garage. They currently live with other cats and are mild-mannered and easygoing. Dogs do frighten them, so a dog-free environment would be best. Dolly is the shy one of the pair, but once she feels comfortable she enjoys attention and especially loves gentle head pets. She’s a calm girl who likes to lounge and observe the world with her gorgeous golden eyes. Smokey is a little more active and curious. He enjoys exploring, lounging nearby, and absolutely loves belly rubs. He has striking lemon-yellow eyes and a friendly personality. He occasionally teases his sister during the day, sending her running, but at night they still settle down close to each other. They are buddies and enjoy each other’s company, but they do not have to be adopted together. These two would do wonderfully as barn cats, shop cats, or farm companions where they can have safe shelter and space to roam while helping keep rodents away.  These cats are currently in Salem with their caregiver and their adoption fee is $50 for the pair.   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the owner for follow-ups and meeting arrangement.  Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 3:44 pm

Story
Dutchess is a very sweet, gentle cat who would thrive in a calm, predictable home. She can be a bit anxious in busy environments, and our household—with two working parents and active teenage boys—has proven to be a little overwhelming for her. She shows affection in her own quiet way, often brushing against your legs when she’s ready for attention. Once she feels comfortable, she’ll happily relax beside you, and when she feels especially safe, she even enjoys belly scratches. Dutchess is not very vocal and prefers a peaceful atmosphere. We love her dearly, but we’ve come to realize that our home may no longer be the best fit for her. With frequent changes in routine and people coming and going, she tends to feel nervous. While she tolerates our other cat, we believe she would be happiest as the only pet in a quieter home where she can truly relax and feel secure.  Dutchess lives in Vancouver with her family and her rehoming fee is $50.   For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Story
Meet Paisley, a sweet 1.5 year old Tuxedo who is social and loves her people. She is currently being fostered with another adult cat and they are being rehomed as their owner has been  deported.  ICE agents put the cats outside and left them there but fortunately the neighbors saw what happened and took the two inside to care for them.  Paisley will need slow introduction to other cats but has lived in a mult-cat household in the past. Paisley prefers one on one time with her foster family.  When Paisley first arrived, she hid behind the washer until she felt comfortable and safe with her new surroundings but once she came out, she blossomed into a playful sweet cat.  She has had some experience with a gentle cat-friendly dog although she may be fine as your only pet.  Older cat-savvy children may be ideal for her as she would love the playtime and attention.   She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.  Paisley lives In Beaverton with her caregivers.  Paisley's adoption fee is $125 and she is an inside only cat. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Story
Tricky is a lovely 4-year old adult girl who is the definition of calm and cozy. She’s an independent, semi-solitary cat who truly thrives in a peaceful home where she can be the center of attention—no other pets needed. While she may not demand constant interaction, she forms a deep bond with her person and shows her affection in the sweetest, most gentle ways. Her favorite pastime is curling up on a soft, blanketed lap for long, peaceful naps. She’s a champion snuggler when she’s in the mood and absolutely loves warm, comfy spots where she can relax and feel safe. Tricky would do best in a quieter home where she can enjoy her independence while still having a loving human nearby and she will be a low-key, affectionate companion who will happily keep you company during cozy nights. Tricky is 4 years old and lives in Forest Grove with her family. Her rehoming fee is $50   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Story
Looking for a loving forever home for my sweet senior cat, Caper   Caper is my 16-year-old tabby, and I’ve had him his entire life. He’s one of the sweetest, gentlest little guys in the world. Truly a cuddle bug. He’s only ever lived in McMinnville and Newberg, and he’s been an indoor/outdoor cat his whole life. Recently, he lost his longtime buddy (they were together for about 10 years), and since then he’s just been… sad. On top of that, I now have two high-energy Australian Shepherds. I keep them separated from him because they’re too curious, but it means Caper spends most of his time alone — and that breaks my heart. Caper deserves a peaceful home where he can spend the rest of his life being loved, snuggled, and not stressed. I truly believe he would thrive with: • An older couple • A single person • Or anyone who wants a calm, affectionate companion He’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and just wants someone to hang out with. He would love a quiet home where he can be someone’s little shadow again.  I love him deeply and just want what’s best for him in his golden years.  Caper live in Mcminnville and his rehoming fee is $50.   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Story
Selina is a stray I have been taking care of for about 3 years now. The last time she saw a vet they thought she was about 4 years old or so. I would say she's about 6 now. She has been an exclusively indoor cat since she has been in my care, but was an outdoor cat before that and could probably transition to indoor/outdoor. Our current residence has a lot of cats in the area which has lead to spraying and we rent so we can longer keep her. She's a very cuddly cat and loves to always be touching. We have had friends stay at our place and while she is shy at first she warms up quickly. She spends a lot of time sleeping/relaxing, but does have bursts of playfulness. She is also very talkative and will happily talk to you for as long as you talk to her. She rarely scratches furniture as long as she has scratching posts around. Doesn't chew on things, though she does like to lick.We have a large cat tree, toys, scratching posts, and food that we can include as well

Story
Clue is a wonderful kitty who needs to be the queen bee of the house. She is your stereotypical “cat”. She is very shy, nervous, and spicy to strangers but once she accepts you she will be your best friend. Once she loves you she loves to snuggle and will sleep in your bed with you every night. She is a five and half year old pure blood bengal and has a wild side that comes through often. She loves to jump and be high up. She is harness trained and enjoys exploring outside. She can be very stubborn and has a sensitive tummy. She has been trained how to sit and is very open to training. She really thrives in a home without other pets or children as she can be aggressive with other animals and small children.
