After a fun outing, I’m the perfect co-pilot who curls up and naps in the car. I’m a bit timid at first but eager to connect with my people. I’ve thrived in a home environment and have done well living with other dogs, though I do appreciate breaks from them sometimes. Introducing, Odele! She is 9 weeks old and ready to steal your heart. The first thing you will notice about this puppy is her cuteness (obviously), but also her unique coloring. Note the black strands on her tail that make it look like it was dipped in ink. The second thing you will notice when you've spent any amount of time with her is that she is really smart. I know all "Mom's" say this, but on her first day she was letting out a bit of a whine on the way to the door when she was ready to go out. Her temperament is fantastic. Everyone is amazed at how well behaved she is. She is doing great in her crate and has not had any accidents in the last week. She has bursts of playful energy and adorable bounciness followed by extended naps. She loves belly rubs and is a great car traveler. She is always wagging her long tail. She will follow you around if you leave the room, but is not clingy. She has been friendly and requested head scratches from everyone. She has also met a few furry friends and small children and is patient and playful with all.She plays independently and is really good at fetch. She eats well but is not food aggressive. Despite her small size, she has done stairs since the day we got her. She is fearless! An all-around great puppy. Say Hi to the happiest and most easily adaptable pup! Beat of My Heart is a jolly and curious puppy who loves to play and to be cuddled (and for some reason, he loves watching tv with you!). He is super treat-motivated, so he learns really quickly -- he already knows how to sit, go to his crate, go to his bed and has made great progress in potty training too. Before getting his food, he knows to sit down and when it's time for bed, all you need to do is open his crate and he goes right into it and sleeps (make sure to add a few teething toys in there just in case he gets bored when he wakes up before you do! He has been socialized around other dogs that we meet during our walks and he is aware of strangers, although he sometimes randomly barks at people walking by us. He also walks extremely well on the leash, which makes him a perfect companion if you also enjoy walks! Raya is a charming 5-year-old, 10 lb. rat terrier and Chihuahua mix with a big personality and a resilient spirit. While she carries a few old scars from a past we'll never know, her sweet heart is fully focused on the future. Raya is a vocal, schedule-loving girl who will endearingly let you know when it's time for meals or activities. Out on walks, she can be a bit barky when passing people or dogs, but she is highly treat-motivated and easily redirected with a tasty snack. When introduced to a resident cat, she showed no interest, so she could potentially live with a dog-savvy cat. Because of a history of painful bowel movements, Raya is currently on a low dose of prednisone (about $10/month). She is doing very well on the medication and has a routine follow-up appointment scheduled to determine whether any ongoing treatment will be needed. Raya loves to be the center of your universe and prefers to have her space respected, so she will thrive best as the only pet in an adult-only home with no other dogs where she can soak up all the love and attention without having to share her humans. She needs a patient, loving adopter who appreciates her routine-driven nature and can offer a predictable, devoted environment.
