Story
https://foha.org/pet/milo2024/ ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Hi, I’m Milo (pronounced MEE-LO)—a small dog with a big heart! I’m a sweet, speedy little guy who loves both playful adventures and peaceful moments. I have a cute routine of carrying a chew toy in my mouth when I’m getting ready for walks. I enjoy spending time outside soaking up the sun and doing my lightning-fast zoomies. After a fun outing, I’m the perfect co-pilot who curls up and naps in the car. I’m a bit timid at first but eager to connect with my people. I’ve thrived in a home environment and have done well living with other dogs, though I do appreciate breaks from them sometimes. I’m loyal, intelligent, and affectionate—just the right companion for active yet cozy days. And make sure to scroll down past my bio to see all the AMAZING videos my foster mom has posted! You can really see how much I thrive in a home, and maybe it’ll help you see how I could be in your home and heart! HOW AM I WITH DOGS: Good with dogs with proper introductions. I’ve lived with multiple dogs and did great, but I may need patience and breaks from them occasionally. HOW AM I WITH CATS: I am a bit too interested in cats and would do best in a home without feline friends. HOW AM I WITH KIDS: Unknown. I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS: Sit, stay, come. MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: I have good house manners! THINGS I LIKE: Chew toys, sunny yard time, car rides, cuddling, zoomies. THINGS I DISLIKE: Storms, sudden dog encounters in public places. FOHA ADOPTION POLICIES AND PROCESS – https://foha.org/pet-adoption/adoption-policies/ ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet. My adoption fee has been covered by a generous donor!!

Story
The sweetest pup I’ve ever foster. He’ll curl up on your lap like a baby but will also run around chasing you when he’s in play mode. He doesn’t cry at all and do very well in car ride. If you’re looking for a pup with enough level of energy to be active with you but also love to cuddle like a teddy bear, this is the one. Adoption Day: March 7th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Some pups may stick around until 11:00 AM for the public event—check our Facebook page closer to the date to see if this pup will be attending the extra fun! ##2661442##

Story
To learn more about Ralphie, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org If you are looking for a dog who will truly, deeply love you, Ralphie is your guy. A classic "Velcro dog," Ralphie believes that life is a team sport. Whether you are working from a home office, cooking in the kitchen (sous chef is his favorite role), or relaxing on the couch, Ralphie wants to be right there with you. Ralphie can be a little skittish in new environments and may feel some anxiety during his first few days in a new home. He is looking for a patient adopter who understands that the best things in life are worth the wait. Once he relaxes, he transforms into the most energetic, super affectionate, and devoted dog. But don't let his sensitive side fool you—this boy is an athlete! Being a Feist mix, Ralphie has a high-octane engine and is the perfect match for a hiker, runner, or anyone who loves the outdoors. Also true to his Feist breed, he is happiest on squirrel patrol. For this reason, a fenced yard may be preferable. Snacks are also a key to Ralphie's heart. He will do almost anything for a treat, making him a dream to train and a fun partner for anyone who loves teaching new tricks. Second to treats, he loves belly rubs - but be warned, once you start, don't plan on stopping! Ralphie is a unique guy who will reward your love and patience many fold as a fun and devoted companion!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire athttps://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/generic.You can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.Dog's Name:   Merle  (MER0925SCOMN)Estimated Breed:   Feist MixApproximate Age:  1-2 yearsApproximate Weight:   34-35 lbsCurrently Living at:   BoardingAdoption Fee:   $400DOG'S DESCRIPTION:   Meet Merle — the medium-sized heartthrob you didn’t know you needed!     This young cutie pie is as sweet as cotton candy (sticky with love and totally irresistible).  Merle is calm, cool, and collected — basically the canine equivalent of that one friend who always remembers to bring snacks, gives the best hugs, and never gets mad when you pick the wrong Netflix show. He’s friendly with people, dogs, AND cats, making him the ultimate social butterfly (minus the wings… although, with his charm, he might as well fly).     Looking for a buddy who’s sweet as can be, adores life, and is ready to love you unconditionally? Then Merle is your guy. Don’t wait — apply today and scoop up this cutie before someone else does. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. This bundle of cuteness came from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. The shelter is a scary place for a little puppy, fortunately she has been rescued by K-9 Lifesavers and landed a nice foster home. Noelle is now ready to find her forever home. Could that be with you? Noelle is very sweet and great with other dogs. She can be a tad shy at first but warms up very quickly.  She will need another pup in the home to help her with her confidence and a fenced in back yard.  If you are looking to add a playmate for your current dog, she would be an amazing addition!  At her young age, Noelle is in her prime for training and socialization too. If you're looking for a companion who will love you unconditionally and bring a sense of joy and companionship to your home, Noelle is the perfect choice.
