Nicki IS AVAILABLE (updated 01-23-2026). To meet any of our dogs, complete our online adoption application on our website: http://www.coastalgsr.org/dogs/nicki Introducing 18 month old Nicki, the embodiment of irresistible charm and unyielding spirit! Nicki is a gorgeous girl who was born with cerebellar hypoplasia, a brain condition that has slightly impacted her motor development. It is not degenerative or contagious. She also has some limited vision impairment along with wobbly legs but she can navigate perfectly after being in a home for a short time. Don't let her wobble stop you from considering Nicki as a member of your family. Nicki is near perfection in a pooch! She's a quick learner, mastering potty-training and the doggie door, and she gets along splendidly with both dogs and cats. This social butterfly thrives in the company of other pets and would make a fantastic addition to an active household that can match her high-spirited energy. While Nicki may not be the next agility champion or dog sports superstar, her zest for life is boundless. She's not really limited, just somewhat clumsy. In Nicki, you won't just be adopting a dog; you'll be gaining your most steadfast and loving best friend. Let Nicki's resilience inspire you every day, and embrace the wonderful wobbles that make her the extraordinary, adoptable treasure she is. FYI, Nicki's sister Nadia has the same condition and was adopted by an active family who takes her hiking and camping. Nothing slows Nadia down and she plays and keeps up with the other German Shepherds in the home. The minimum adoption donation is $375 for adults and $500 for puppies. This helps cover vet care, boarding fees, and other expenses. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.January 23, 2026, 5:15 am

Ethan IS AVAILABLE (updated 01-23-2026). To meet any of our dogs, complete our online adoption application on our website: http://www.coastalgsr.org/dogs/ethan Ethan was the smallest of the litter and he is a little love bug who would like to be your companion. Ethan is also the most mellow of the boys. He has been crate trained and is 90% potty trained. He had all of his puppy vaccinations and is microchipped. Ethan is a happy pup who would be thrilled to join your family. Backstory: The six â&#194&#128&#194&#156E litterâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 puppies were found in a shelter drop box. They were very dirty but appeared to be surprisingly healthy. There were five boys: Echo, Easy, Elton, Ethan, and Everest, and one girl: Emma. They are 4 months old and weigh around 20-25 pounds. Emma and Elton are light blond; the others are black and tan. They are German Shepherd mixes but how much GSD, we arenâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t sure. They are in a foster home where they have settled in nicely and their foster mom is learning more about each of their personalities. The minimum adoption donation is $375 for adults and $500 for puppies. This helps cover vet care, boarding fees, and other expenses. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.January 23, 2026, 5:15 am

Story
Dodger IS AVAILABLE (updated 01-23-2026). To meet any of our dogs, complete our online adoption application on our website: http://www.coastalgsr.org/dogs/dodger 3-year-old Dodger (born in June of 2020) graduated Summa Cum Laude from an ivy league board and train program, where he lived with and trained with other dogs (who might not have had his stunning good looks, but he treated everyone as if they did). This big puppy learned so much there: how to be social and that there are rules that need to be followed, which ultimately lead to his own confidence and comfort. Dodger is a quick study and as smart as you'd expect from a working dog. He is living in a foster home, good in the house, and does great with his canine foster sister. He's crate trained, potty trained, has a big ball/toy/food drive, and would be a great addition to a home with GSD experience. (He would not be a good fit as someone's first GSD, but, if this is your breed and you have experience, he will quickly become your all-time favorite dog out of all of your dogs.) A perk to adopting Dodger is that you'll get a session with his trainer, to set you up for success upon adoption, and can attend The Royal K9 Dog Psychology & Training Center monthly training sessions (for all graduates of their board and train program) for a lifetime! The minimum adoption donation is $375 for adults and $500 for puppies. This helps cover vet care, boarding fees, and other expenses. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.January 23, 2026, 5:15 am

Story
Decca IS AVAILABLE (updated 01-23-2026). To meet any of our dogs, complete our online adoption application on our website: http://www.coastalgsr.org/dogs/decca Hi, I'm Decca! I am a merry mix of some wonderful breeds. I am 44% German Shepherd Dog, 21% Labrador Retriever, 8% Golden Retriever and 7% Siberian Husky. I was born on 7/11/2025 to a beautiful mom who is primarily GSD and an alleged dad who was primarily Black Labrador. Somehow I ended up with some Husky characteristics; more than my siblings did. I was the most distinctive puppy in the litter. My 'baby' photo is included at the end of my photos. I was so darn cute! I was previously adopted by a family with 3 young children and a senior dog whose energy level was not compatible with mine. I returned back to my original foster home where I live with two older dogs and my mother (Libby). I am young, energetic and would do best in a home with a confident, well balanced dog who has a similar energy level. Or, I would be fine being the only dog in the home. Your choice. With the help of everyone in my past, I went through some special training that helped me learn many things including obedience. I am house, leash, and dog door trained. I am young - just over 1 year old - and I'm just a teenager. Like a teenager I can be stubborn and headstrong. I like to test my environment and can be both frightened and confident depending on the situation. All my vaccines are up to date and I am microchipped, and spayed. I love people and get along with my foster family dogs but need proper introductions and boundaries to feel comfortable in new environments. I have incredible potential to be your new best friend. When can we meet? The minimum adoption donation is $375 for adults and $500 for puppies. This helps cover vet care, boarding fees, and other expenses. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.January 23, 2026, 5:15 am

Story
Bandit IS AVAILABLE (updated 01-23-2026). To meet any of our dogs, complete our online adoption application on our website: http://www.coastalgsr.org/dogs/bandit-1 Bandit was found as a 4 month old GSD puppy with left eye trauma and landed at the San Bernardino shelter. We rescued her from the euthanasia list and got her necessary vet care. After careful evaluation by a specialist, her eye had to be removed. She recovered from surgery like a champ and feels better now that her eye isn't hurting her! Banditââ&#194&#130¬â&#194&#132¢s eye healed quickly and she moved to a foster home with a loving family that gives her lots of love and attention and also have invested time and training for Bandit so she will have the best opportunity in her new forever home. Bandit is fully trained with Falco K9 and can continue to build on her training classes with Falco! Due to Bandit only having one eye, she can be very defensive with other dogs. Bandit needs to be the queen in her castle! Whoever adopts Bandit has to have big dog experience, experience training a working dog, and be ready to work with a very smart and strong-minded girl. She needs patience and consistency. Bandit loves toys: she loves playing fetch, chase, and tug. Her favorite pastime is finding sticks. She loves when someone throws a ball or toy for her to fetch and when everybody in the family runs around in the yard with her! Bandit not only has full obedience training but she is crate trained and has amazing house manners! If Bandit sounds like the girl for you, please complete the adoption application! The minimum adoption donation is $375 for adults and $500 for puppies. This helps cover vet care, boarding fees, and other expenses. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.January 23, 2026, 5:15 am
