Louie is being fostered in Waukesha WI Drum roll please! This gorgeous stud muffin is Louie. He is a 90lb black and tan German Shepherd Dog. He is approximately 2.5 years old. This boy has been all around the USA and finally landed with our rescue. Regardless of his travels from CA to NJ, and to the midwest, he is just the sweetest most sensitive GSD we have ever met. Check Louie out in ACTION: click hereLouie playing He enjoys car rides, walks (harness/halti needed), running, playing with a ball and affection from his humans that he will reciprocate. Louie doesn't have one mean bone in his body. He even likes the little 4lb poodle in his foster home, matter of fact, he likes the smaller dogs better than he likes the big dogs. He is crate trained and potty trained. Louie doesn't engage in play with the other dogs and seems to be more human focused than doggie focused. We think a home with or with out another dog would be fine for him, especially if the other dog is much smaller than him. Because Louie is a BIG guy, we think kids over 8 would be ok for him as he can knock a small child over pretty easily. Louie would love someone to play fetch with, to take walks or runs with and someone that will continue working on his basic obedience skills. This sweetheart is a sensitive guy and can melt any heart he meets. Louie would like a fenced yard to play in also, but as long as his exercise needs are met, he doesn't have to have a fenced yard. Louie is neutered, negative for all tick borne diseases, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and taking monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm. Does Louie speak to your heart? Finnegan the great is an interesting mix of what we believe to be a German Shepherd and a Great Pyrenees. Both breeds of valor, bravery, courageous pups and guardians of their homes. Finn is very much a dog that loves to act like he can protect his home and thrives in the presence of his best friends. He is a protector at heart but a chicken outside! Such a funny complex to have in one mind. Finn seems to be afraid of certain loud noises and feels much more comfortable when his foster housemates are out in the yard with him. Finn is an extremely sweet and loving boy that needs praise and guidance on a regular basis. This pup is playful, bouncy, likes to be out in nature, enjoys spending quality time with his favorite people and is learning to enjoy swimming! Finn would be a great hiking companion and outdoorsy pal. Finn is currently working with a trainer because he is very cautious and wary of strangers. He has tools such as a basket muzzle that help keep him and others safe during stranger interactions. Finn has really developed his skills and is getting more comfortable meeting new people. He would prefer a home that has experience with dogs that are a bit timid of new folks and he would do best in a home with adults. Finn wouldn't mind living with a doggy friend he rather enjoys the company. Finns trainer will extend a program into an adopters home if they would like further help with his care during the adoption process and post. Alright you caught me fair and square, I am the guy from Florida that used to be....a silly adventurous Shepherd boy! I am still that same guy. I found myself migrating north to a cooler climate in search of broader horizons. I am a boy of travel, wonder, excitement. I am also a boy that can relax, spend time with a lovely person, enjoys going for walks, enjoys playing with a ball or 2. I have spent the last year living in a kennel. The most generous and kind people have allowed me to stay here in the safety of this place while I find a home to call my own. Here I have learned how to behave, walk nicely on a leash and how to stay patient. I get out a bunch but I long for home. I enjoy being around people. I am a strong dog and probably would push over some smaller humans but I enjoy everyones company. I prefer a home where I am the only pet. I havent had too many interactions with other animals but I feel very happy being independent. My manners are pretty good and I can stay focused on my human, even when other dogs try to distract me. I would love more than anything else in this world, to just be your very best friend. I promise I will crate at night, Ill potty only outside and Ill be a loyal true bud. Story

Breezer is an excellent companion dog, and he is very intelligent. He doesn't know a lot of commands, but learns things quickly. He would do best in a home with no young children and with owners that can spend extra time with him. He is a large dog that makes a big show of protecting his home, but he is not aggressive once he is introduced to humans and dogs. He definitely needs a handler in those situations though. Breezer has a sensitive stomach and his diet needs to be monitored. He can also be stubborn about food. He gets into a lot of mischief if left alone from extended periods of time. He has a slight limp in a front leg, which we were told might be due to a genetic cartilage/muscle issue or a neurological issue. The adoption fee is only there to make sure he isn't sent to a bad home. I will waive it if I can bring him to your home or if I'm able to somehow make sure he won't be used for fighting.
