She`s looking for a calm, structured home where she can truly thrive as the only pet.She is incredibly affectionate with her foster family. Once she`s warmed up to you, she`ll seek out your attention, follow you around the house, and even crawl into your lap for cuddles on her own terms. She`s housebroken, kennel-trained, and knows several commands like sit, wait, kennel, and ok (release). She even comes when you whistle!In true shepherd fashion, Astrid is protective of her home and will alert bark at strangers. She requires slow, patient introductions to new people, but once she feels safe, her sweet, silly side shines through. She has lived a wonderful life and has been well cared for and socialized but her owner has come into hard times and has to make the incredibly hard decision to find her a new home. He loves her so much and knows she deserves the world that he can’t provide. Please no rude comments, he is heartbroken. Kai is an incredibly intelligent dog. She absolutely adores people. She is 7 years old but she is still ready for adventures. Kai will need a family that will provide daily exercise and then a couch to sleep on! Kai is good with other dogs, especially male dogs. She has also been around cats and was great with them. Kai has been professionally trained and is housetrained. Kai is located in Huntsville AL.
