Story
Sweet Grace is a gentle senior lady looking for a warm place to call home. This beautiful girl is incredibly loving and will melt your heart when you meet her. According to her foster, Grace is a well behaved, gentle, easy going sweetheart, with low-medium activity needs. She likes to be near her people, but not on top of them. She is incredibly smart, food motivated, and likes being kept on a regular schedule. In her foster home, she was left uncrated and was a perfect lady - she did just fine alone and had no accidents! Grace loves walks, sunbathing, being petted, short hikes, tennis balls, and rocks. That`s right, rocks! She likes digging up rocks and playing hide and seek with them! She is so happy when she finds her rock! She LOVES rocks! In her foster home, she met several other dogs while on walks and did well with them, and she was very sweet and gentle with a child in the home. Grace is a great girl and will make a wonderful addition to almost any family!

Story
This stunning girl is Nala and came in around 2 years old. She was surrendered for no fault of her own...simply because pets aren`t allowed where her family lives now. According to her owner, Nala lived indoors, is crate trained, is good with all people, will stay in a fenced yard, and walks nicely on leash. Nala is a calm girl who listens well, is friendly but not over affectionate, and enjoys time to sniff and explore our play yard. She does not like other dogs who are very energetic, but may do well with another one who is calm like her, so a meet and greet is recommended. Nala is a really nice dog who will make a wonderful addition to most any home!

This cutie with the ears is Ira! Volunteers told us: `Ira has a ton of puppy energy but she is a smart and affectionate girl. We had a great time playing with her today and discovered that an exercised Ira is a snuggly and cuddly Ira! She gobbled up treats like a four-legged vacuum cleaner. Ira is gorgeous and such a nice size for bouncing up into her latest friend’s lap.`Ira:- Enjoys meeting new people- Is cuddly and affectionate- High Energy- Both treat and toy motivated- Pulls the leash at first, better after using the bathroom- High energy

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ENZO ~2 years old. Good with some dogs, but best as an only dog . Not good with kids or cats.  GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only.        Enzo is patiently waiting for the perfect family to find him. He’s a tall stunning boy who LOVES going for a ride in the car, seriously – this guy cannot walk past a car without letting you know he wants to get in. Enzo is currently a lean 85lbs and needs a family committed to keeping him at a healthy weight. Enzo didn’t inherit the best genes, likely due to a backyard breeder whose only interest was making money. Due to this, Enzo will need hip surgery within the next 1-2 years. The rescue will cover the cost of surgery at one of their vets, so his adopter doesn’t have to worry about that, but they will need to care for him during the recovery period. Enzo would do best as an only dog, he loves attention and going for a walk. He is low to medium energy, has no problems with stairs. He is still somewhat mouthy and will not be placed in a home with children younger than teenagers. Enzo is house trained and doesn’t need to be crated. After a walk, his favorite past time is lounging on the couch. He’s friendly but not overly pushy looking for affection. Enzo is a goofy boy that just puts a smile on your face being around him. We understand that his upcoming health needs will deter some adopters, but we are hopeful someone will give this boy a chance, he deserves his own forever family.
